- In Episode 48, we talk microcement. It's fairly boring, so sorry about that! 😆
Check out the Venetian Plaster Gallery for all things Microcement.

you are like, you were reading my mind on my questions... awesome man ! thank you... we will do this in our island beach front home!!!
Niiiiccceee. Can't wait to see the final product/finish. Lovin ya work. Keep it up!
Thanks Tom! Not gonna lie mate, it's looking pretty epic! 😬
Awesome work. Is it slippery when wet? Did you get a layer on antislip coating on it?
Thanks! No anti slip. It doesn’t feel slippery imo.
However if I did my bathroom over again, I’d probably tile the floor. I do like the look of the microcement however it’s difficult to keep looking clean
@@viking.designs Why is it difficult to keep looking clean?
It’s such a minimal finish, you really notice dust, hair etc more than you would on a terrazzo floor.
Awesome job! Did you use plasterboard or fibre cement in the shower? It looks like plaster which is what I was hoping to use too, I'm just struggling for supplier support...
Did you do the ceiling as well ? 🤔 Thanks for the video, helps a ton to bring my pinterest dream to reality!
Thanks for watching! :) nope, no ceiling.
Applicator here: If you DON'T want the burn marks that the trowel leaves behind, burnish with a plastic trowel from Pavan tools, or you can invest in a trowel specifically made for burnishing white plaster (th-cam.com/video/RYK48BDgEJY/w-d-xo.html). Great job by the way.
Hey Michael. Thanks man! I have seen the something similar. Very cool. I personally like the burnish marks however I'm sure there's plenty that don't. Thanks for the link 🤙
Hey that looks awesome. Can I know where did you get all the meterials needed? eg the micro cement?
Cheers Alex. Look up the Venetian plaster gallery. They are in Sydney and Adelaide I believe. Tony is great. He'll sort you out
Thanks for the inspo
Can you use on tiles
What was in the spray bottle ? Water?
Yeah just water
Awesome. Can this be applied right over tile (after priming)?
Yes. For best results you want to fill the grout joints first
Can you apply on tiles? And how do fill up the thickness different as my wall is half tiles and painted. 😢
Probably easiest to remove the bottom half of the tiles.
You can go over tiles but you need to fill the grout first with an additional product to avoid seeing grout lines.
That's quite expensive. How can we make this cheaper?
Also, tutorial would be great
loved the video - thank you! Subbed
It's not overly expensive if you do it yourself. $75 per square is a similar price to a mid-range tile. To pay someone to do it is quite expensive though.
What product are you using? And where can I find it in Australia?
It’s called pastellone by stucco Italiano from the Venetian plaster gallery in Sydney. I’ve also heard that mineral fox is good and available to buy.
Love this video, thank you 🙏
Thanks for watching :)
Keen to learn how to do this 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Can't go wrong with learning another skill imo
this would be sick bro
I cant find who do those work or service in vancouver 🇨🇦 😂😂😂 dont know I how to find those professional in related industries of ?its should b wall paint teams or ground flooring teams or bathroom renovated team😂😂😂
Look for cement renders, acrylic renders. Lots of them also do microcement
This wollongong
12 grand for this layer? Wow. nope.
Well, 12k for it done by a professional, not me. 😅
Are you in Australia, @dguy? Because that'll be the cost of weekly groceries by next year the way things are going 😂 just the cost of home ownership
Wish there was no music...would have loved to watch this video and hear what was said. Bummer.
You're the first person to say that out of 13,000 views, however I'll keep it in mind for future edits.
