Is it in feet an inches too?
Sure is. Easy to change it in the setting menu
Ya know what else feels good in the hand?
Good bt too fast for me. You seem to explain the steps to people who already know part of it. For example, when you say you take the measurement for a room, I follow what you say, but when I pick up the first measurement with the GLM device, after choosing on the graphic I draw in my ipad the first wall , I hear a bip in the GLM device and it says " xx square meter". And the measure is displayed in the small screen of the GLM but the drawing on my ipad has not incorporated that measurement. I had to put it manually . I must have missed a step and I would be grateful if you could tell me what happened.
What’s the song called at the start?
Metabo hpt for 18v, 36v, the fact that their multivolt batteries function for both, and for corded as well because they have an ac adapter for their 36v tools. Bosch for 12v tools. Their 12v tools are literally the best pro grade 12v. They have some great 18v too
Appreciate it.
I am about to embark on the skylight replacement idea. I would love to see any extra images or footage you have of the process you undertook for this.
I’m sure it’s hard, but I just know I’m capable of dropping my phone down the box gutter
😆. Hasn't happened yet.
Thank you so much Dan for your help. Greatly appreciate it.
Hi Dan, what a beautiful van. I am currently renovating a 70's Viscount and love your ceiling. I was wondering how the shiplap is ceiled to the ceiling and does it contour to the roof curve? I really want to do a similar job as yours. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Hey Wayne, thanks mate. Yes, the shiplap curves pretty easily. Go to Bunnings and pick a length up. You will see how much flex it’s got. I just used 16 gauge brads to fix it to the meranti battens
turn the music down next time dude lol
Great job, just couple of questions. I have reclaimed pavors around side of my house. I put white sand in the gaps every year but grew moss and weeds in winter. I have now bit the bullet and put pave n lock in gthe gaps which will probably turn grey but weed free. I would like to finish with a glaze. Would you recommend this and suggest any product.
So glad you tossed the box, I’ve never understood unboxing videos, what’s the point.
Glad someone else is on the same page 😆🤝
So cool! I am really considering doing this diy in my bathroom! Wondering, is the gutters trouf something you can access to clean if it get grimy? Also I'm not gonna do a whole bathroom like you did but maybe repeat the material on the shower bench? Do you think the bench would need to be done before tiling around it? How do you think I could achieve this? Your video is so cool!!!
I’d suggest looking for a small strip drain with a pop out grill, similar to what you’d use in a shower. I think it would make cleaning a little easier. You could do the bench at the same time as the tiles.
Hey. Mate. How do you compare Bosch and Dewalt so far ? Appreciate
Hey mate. I honestly think nearly everything on the market today is solid. I have had issues with dewalt batteries in the past but I was maybe just unlucky.
@@viking.designs thanks. Looking forward to your next episode.
Thanks mate. Not too far off. 🤙
are you guys looking for any workers by any chance im a hard worker and i barely get shifts at my job
Love it ❤
Great video, would love some more of these videos. How do you know how much profit the business should make or what even is a reasonable amount?
Personally I don’t care one bit about power or speed. All tools have more power than I’ll ever need anyway. For me it all comes down to ergonomics, precision, accessories and smoothness of triggers and operation. I think I’m leaning towards Makita for these reasons.
Very hard to fault makita.
Where can I find that terrazzo stool? It looks amazing. Thanks!
We picked it up at Bunnings!
Is the free measure on app any good? What are the limitations?
This fella looks baked
I loved the reliability practibility & growing range of Bosch DIY tool range. I renovated my house from plumbing to electrics to carpentry - repairng, creating & building stuff over 8 years without any tool failing - amazing, But no more! I'm now doing all this across 200+ residentail student rooms & offices at work... welcome to Bosch professional tools! Just the same, but with innotive desgins & longterm power (& Bosch blue tells clients to perpare for the best!). Seriously, Bosch keep on growing in creativity, user focussed and sensibly avoid other manufactuers shortfalls without going crazy trying to be the 'best' for those (often pointless) on-line video tests. It's all feeling confident using your tools & knowing this feeling will be there again tomorrow, next, month year... bang on!
Great video! Thanks 😀 I wonder if you have a view on the pros and cons of the carbonised bamboo decking? There are a few products available in New Zealand but I can't seem to be able to find any independent advice on them. Thanks in advance!
How did you pick that template or builder to calculate what the total inn meter is?
What sheet did you pick on the Google sheets as your template?
Look at Bosch GKF18v8 👌
Hey just seeing how the awning is going and how it goes travelling? How do the support bars work on it do you remove them?
As a german, i can say bosch devices are trash.
Festool?? Or something else?
@@viking.designs Milwaukee or Makita
@@viking.designs everybody has a few Bosch devices at home, no question. They are doing their job but when it comes to battery devices for impact drivers, chainsaws and so on everybody uses Makita Milwaukee or something like this.
That is beautiful and very inspiring!
Ive had milwaukee, dewalt, makita grinder. My bosch is what I use everyday for tile. Runs like new. Switches blades easily. I like it the most. Its heavy duty, and reliable.
2 questions Does the speed square fit ok in the upper pocket of the 4 bag. The one you keep your phone in? And from the pics online the 4 bag looks pretty tight. Do the pockets open up a bit as they age?
Cracker video . Make another video in depth
looks great! love the recycled brick with herringbone
Nice video mate, first one I've watched. But why the duck you finding out about floor inso from a facebook group? We are professional trades men, we ask the kid at Bunnings how to do stuff...
Haha. Grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain’t 😂. Good first effort mate. 👍
Flappy disc budget is out of control 😆
Looks like a fun project! Great video! Love the idea of using bracing ply on all the walls
Thanks mate. Been checking your stuff out lately! Some great work 🤙
@@viking.designs cheers mate!
did you just use caution tape to hold up insulation on an elevated exposed floor ?
Just temporarily until we stapled it all in place
Love the danger tape holding up the inso haha, good stuff
Worked a treat! Way better than string line 👌
This is exactly what I am looking for. I want to redo all of my cabinet doors on my R.V. But I have a question: When you're travelling down the road, over bumps, how strong do you think that rattan really is? Without a solid wood backing, do you think it's strong enough to hold the bouncing items in the cabinet from breaking through the rattan? If not at first, eventually?
Rattan is actually quite strong. Just make sure your cupboards are secured properly.
@@viking.designs After posting this video 3 years ago (something I noticed after I commented), I'm extremely pleased upon receiving a reply form you! Thank you very much! I understand that rattan is vey strong, I guess my query would be more towards the securing of it at the base (the wooden door frame). Probably why you put so many staples in it yourself. I thought making sure that ever single hole was stapled was an awesome idea! Especially for reducing stretching from possible pressure over a period of time. However, after I typed my comment I was pondering options of securing the cupboard's contents. Which is what you basically said by making sure the contents were secured properly. I came up with the idea for travelling of placing a bungee cord or a wooden trowel on the inside of the compartment - just inside the cupboard door. About half way for each shelf. These could easily be removed upon set up & not ever visible to the eye, therefore never ruining the aesthetics of the overall look! Another Question: How has your 1/2 lap construction held up over the course of your travels? For my smaller upper cabinet doors, I would have absolutely no problem using this method. Note: I'm not re-building the counter/cabinet system. I'm not changing the layout. I'm just widening the existing openings to the cubbies & remaking the doors. I only have 2 larger cabinet doors on the lower counter area & they will both end up being no larger than 2' x 3'. Plus, I plan to be travelling (mostly boondocking) in a Class-C most of the year. Do you think the 1/2 lap would be a sturdy choice? Over a mortice & tenon joint?
The half lap has held up perfectly. I’ve seen zero movement. M+T would be a good option too. Probably even better but would also take a lot more time imo. Good luck with it. 🤙
@@viking.designs This is good to know! I agree that the M&T would take longer, especially if one doesn't have all of the proper woodworking tools. Perseverance would get one to the finished product. However, I do think that I'll stick with the 1/2 lap. It's only 2 cupboards, and if they ever do start coming apart & if I notice quick enough, I can just rebuild them. Easy-peasy! Thanks again for all of your communication & opinions. I do appreciate that.
This is an ad for Samsung… not how to quote a job… 💩
thank you brother great info
No problem man. Good luck 👊
Oh man, that's very old school, the margin for error and time it is taking you is costing you a bom.
Hey Andrew. It’s a very old video. Figured I’d leave it up to show an example for guys new to the trade or DIYers.
I use similar to measure, yet I use a 3D construction program called PlusSpec that draws the project and does a BOQ from the drawing. The benefit is I can see "what and how" and solve hidden issues in construction and show the client. This allows me to charge for the quote. Essentially I build the project before I build it and the software quantifies, creates a quote and sends the quote abs purchase orders to Zero.
I've been working as a Carpenter for nearly 20yrs off and on, I'm 37yo now and starting to be more independent. I am struggling with getting my quotes in on time. I am used of doing the hands on work, but having to start with these quotes is discouraging to me. I hope to learn from this video.
There’s definitely better ways to about quoting but you need to pay for it and no option is very affordable. Can save you a lot of time tho.
Super pumped for Britt S’s special on August 8! Would have loved to see the live show, hope it’s so fire that the Britts can start a Worsties tour!! 🎉
Bro you done goofed 🤪. Dewalts flexvolt line up is so powerful. It's dummy powerful
Haha I’ve actually got some flexvolt stuff too. The rear handle circular saw is still an all time fav. 👌
Thanks for the inspo
What glue did you use for the splashback? I used a Davco brand for stone and glued it onto plywood first. This was unsuccessful😢
Great video. How did you mount the sink to the wall?
