Amazing! As a man, I certainly want every woman that I meet to be on hormonal birth control. Never have I really considered the impact on the woman. This is super awesome info for both genders to consider!
I relate to her strongly, everything she's mentioning I've been through as well. Just one note, I appreciate her wanting to process emotions and help people by not violating their boundaries. Thing is, severely traumatized people like us often have savior complexes. This hinders us a lot instead of realizing our instincts are toxic and shitty because of how we were raised. It's better to acknowledge it. I know too many women with extreme trauma that inherit narcissist behaviors, avoid accountability and use 'helping others' as a distraction tactic from confronting their demons whom they have slowly become...
Wow this one was incredible! So much knowledge in one hour! Thank you for sharing her with us Tom! Keep up the good work! I've got a new book to order now!

Great information... when I hear these kinds of stories I realize how great I had it growing up. Loving parents that always supported and still support me however they can. Another takeaway for me is that I need to spend more time just thinking instead of always in go go go mode.
Thank you so much for sharing your take aways. And while there were definitely hard times for me, my parents did work very hard to make sure I had a roof over my head. Even in our struggles we can find things to be grateful for.

Wow what an inspiring woman. I love everything about this talk. So many things you both mentioned have been so helpful this is what I needed right now ❤️
Thank you for this great interview. I wish I knew even a tenth of what you know Jolene. I need so badly to change my eating habits. Not for size, but for internal health, but because of time and money, and cooking skills, too many times I resort to Taco Bell or Little Caesars pizza or a quick pasta meal from a box. I’m single and it makes it so easy to do bad when there isn’t anyone else to displease. So after making my bad decisions, I’m full of food, but also full of regret. To have someone with me that wanted the same things, would make it much easier I think. I don’t know. I’m going to subscribe to your channel as soon as I’m done writing this. Maybe that will help. Keep up the great work of spreading your wisdom and helping those in need.

The problem when these people say things like this is that they are trashing anyone who is a dental assistant telling them they are wasting their lives, at what point do we stop doing this to other people. At what point are we going to stop trashing everyone who isn't a CEO. People don't think that through when they say things like that. The world needs dental assistants, and every other position that's in that range. Is it fair to tell them "That's good for them, but I'm better than that".
Omg I’m shaking right now! I have this exact same stomach issue and my doctor put me on a proton pump inhibitor.
So intrigued and fascinated!
This has become one amongst my favorite episodes of yours, Tom. Even tough it’s hard to choose- she just blew me away!
I love this channel so much. Thanks Tom.

Thank you Tom and Jolene
Wow her skin is so beautiful
Oh wow, thank you!
Love her! I’m buying the book!
Thank you for your feedback and support!
She is so inspiring! I love her!
Wow, one of the best talks ive watched!!
It’s good to see that we all struggle with food balancing and eating to make you feel better and balancing emotions
This is great. Who knows... maybe on impact theory we might just have food theory. It's definitely needed.
Thank you.
Jolene upbringing reminded me of a lot of things. When it comes to nutrition it should be a simple subject. It was turned into a confusing but a very necessary subject in our lives.
She needs to come back! This is amazing!!
Dr. Jolene Brighten absolutely! Thanks so much for sharing your inspirational story. You are strong and have accomplished so much! Keep up the great work.
Loved this episode Tom! Really enjoyed the way she talked about these topics.
Just listened to this in the car ride home. Bravo. Bravo. Really good episode!
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” - Hippocrates
Thank you for all of the wonderful information.
Best episode ever 🙌🙌
Thank you. Means a lot to me.
I love the subject matters in the bottom, ty
So happy to find this today! All of the information here, in one episode is exceptional! Jolene is quite an inspiration for me! Looking for her on Women of Impact!!! Thank you 🙏🏻
Wow what an inspiring woman.
Amazing amazing amazing talk. Such valuable human info.
Thank you!!!!!
amazing & valuable giving women a voice...love
Thank you so much for your comment.
Fruits and veggies cured my stomach issues and weight problems. Listen to your body :)
So glad you found solutions for you.
Don't underestimate the influence food has in your thinking and mood - it's way more than science nowadays portrait.
Agreed.
What an incredible woman!
Appreciate this comment!
Would love to see an Integrative Wellness Chiro on here. Found out i have adrenal fatigue and believe it or not strenuous exercise is NOT good at the stage im in. Explains this chronic exhaustion ive been going through what seems an entire decade atleast by now.
And how caffiene maked me exhausted within minutes.
Very powerful message in the intro if you take some time to think about it.
such an amazing woman, many blessings to her!
Wow her story is really motivational!! I can relate to most of the struggles she went through as a young person! If she can go though all that adversity I can too!✊🏿🔥
This woman is amazing!
Great show. Didn’t want it to end. Learned a lot! Thanks 🙌
I changed my diet to only baked chicken breast, raw veggies and sweet potatoe... and also started taking black seed oil and drinking apple cider bish at and water everyday! My stomach has never felt better! Lol I’m not even 3 minutes in but I had to share that!
wow she is so intelligent! had a great time listening to her :D Also appreciate the questions from Tom always, he is a great interviewer!!!! :D
Thank you so much for this video! I had a similar story concerning the stomach issues...I could very much relate to your story...Every subject you talked about was super interesting, also the studies about the correlations between the pill and women's mate choices!! Thanks for the update in this regard. Thank you too Tom for finding awesome guests!
Love it!!! Thanks ! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍😘
