    Hi Cam, loved your video. We just purchased a 2023 Travato and took it out for a couple of days this weekend in Southern Utah. Could not get the Truma heater to work. Verified that we have propane by lighting the stove. Also, made sure that the inside and outside LPG valve switches were open. I could get the fan to operate but no heat. Do you have suggestions? Thanks!

      Good job checking the stove 1st thing. There aren't a lot of clear easy things I can have you check. Best possibly I can think of is to reset the panel.
      In a pinch have you tried operating on one of the mixed setting while connected to shore power or running the generator?

    Great video Cam, as usual! On the Vent setting, does the Combi bring in outside air, or just recirculate inside air? If it brings in outside air, do you need to crack open a window to maximize the outside air intake? Thanks!

      It just recirculates the air inside. No need to crack a vent.

      @@MillersRV Thanks very much! I was hoping it would bring in fresh air on my 2023 Solis PX. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do that since the PX sacrifices the Maxx Air fan for the AC unit.

    question are you sure mix 1 is gas and 12v and EL1 IS 12V. I have the same system and I call Truma today to verify. they said mix 1 is gas and 120v using one heating element and EL 1 IS 120V using one heating element . EL2 is 120V using both heating element

      @MillersRV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are correct, our apologies for the mistake. The electric heating element is 120V.

    Thermal output in gas mode is up to max. 4.2 kW in the 4E model. 4.2kW(gas)+0.85kW(elec.) in Mix1 mode (and 4.2kW+1.7kW in mix2 mode)? Or 3.35kW(gas)+0.85kW(elec.) in mix1?

      We don't mind saying when we don't know something and frankly this might be one of the most technical question we've received. I am not positive but based on the display showing 1 or 2 lightning bolts I believe it is your original assumption.

      Obviously for lying in bed and controlling your environment without having to walk over to the panel in your pajamas. Obviously.

    I have question if you what stay off grid as much as you can in camping van would you prefer gas stove or Eletric and heating is it not better has that one run with gas or diesel on your tank ? We know is cold weather you can spend a lot of propane with heater

      For cooking I really like the induction, as there is a big difference in heat. The induction cooktops are listed watts not BTU but roughly the are 12-14,000 BTU equivalent and I believe the LP cooktop that goes in the Travato is 7,000 BTU. Then you save your LP for heat and hot water as well.
