    👉 [From the Truma iNet Instructions] “The Truma iNet Box requires a connection to a 2G mobile phone network in order to send and receive text messages (GSM). Ask your mobile phone provider whether a GSM connection is available to you with your mini SIM card. If there is no GSM connection, the Truma iNet Box can only be operated via Bluetooth.”
    Please note, when turning “OFF” the control panel, you do not need to turn the van heating down to “OFF” if you don’t want to. You can simply press and hold the central button until the display says “OFF.” Doing this means when you turn the panel on again, it will remember the last settings: Source, temperature etc.

    Hi , we're new to motorhome life having taken delivery of our Constellation 3XL in July of this year. Getting to grips with all the systems was a little daunting at first but got easier as time progressed. Your vlog on the Truma control panel is the best that we came across and provived exactly what we were looking for. Well presented and well thought out. Many thanks.

    Ooo had a van for 9 months I agree with you old fashioned way to get out of your chair to set heating. but if I wake up in the morning and its colder that I was accepting I can lay in my warm bed and put the heating and water on.. shame it can't make a coffee.. Hi Paul,as always very informative video in your entertaining way.One question about where the thermostat is situated below the truma panel,also very close to the tv.Do you think it picks up the heat from the tv,giving it a false reading.

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good question. The TV doesn’t seem to get warm. Now, if the question was “do I think the thermostat sensor is accurate?” Many people suggest on the forums it isn’t and I guess that would be one of the reasons you can “offset” the values within the Truma control panel (from -0 to -5). I think for us, we just set it at 20°C and if we want it a little warmer or a little cooler we simply adjust it accordingly. Thanks for watching and your feedback regards “entertaining.” We try to put something into our how to videos otherwise you just hear a Brummie talking 😊

      I did say “if I have missed anything 😊” thanks for asking. Yes on our van the control box is in the small cupboard above the fridge. A SIM card could be inserted and there is a Bluetooth button to press initially when syncing the system to your phone. I will pin this comment so that others can see your question and the answer 👍

    Thanks sir. Should the truma combi 6 (diesel + Electric) make a tapping noise while running on diesel alone? Sounds a lot like the diesel pump from my old chinese diesel heater, which I thought the truma would address. Should the truma make the tapping noise? thanks

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. The Truma Combi 6E in our van runs off electric or gas. We had a diesel powered heater in a VW Campervan and it would sound like a jet engine running. Being a “blown air” system you can hear the air blowing quite a lot on full but would barely notice on the low settings. We hear a clicking when using on gas initially as that is the igniter lighting the gas but only hear the blown air and a hum from the boiler in general use.

    Paul. Thanks for your truma instructions video. We have recently bought a rollerteam Pegaso 745 and whilst away and hooked up, for whatever reason the heating output switched from elec to gas. This happened through the night. Any thoughts? Cheers Phil

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. We have never had that happen. I am unsure if the system “looks” for alternative sources of one stops but that would be the only one I could think of if the electric, for some reason, had stopped.

  • @mattkeen1986
    @mattkeen1986 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi there, thanks for the vid.
    On my combi, I have selected 'mix2' and 'boost' mode. In this mode, the water is only heating with electic and the gas heater is not engaged.
    In 'gas' mode everything works fine though.
    Do you have any idea why the combi isnt heating with gas/electric in 'mix' mode?
    Cheers,
    Matt

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      In the instructions it states “In mixed mode 230 V electric mode is preferred if the power requirement is only low (e.g. for maintaining the room temperature). The gas burner is not enabled until the power requirement is higher, and is the first to switch off during heat-up operations.”
      For Boost it says “The Boost function is only available if the difference between the temperature in the interior and the set target temperature is greater than 10°C and the vehicle is connected to 230 V.”
      The last one regards the 10°C difference might be why.
      Normally, priority is given to heating the van. We find it quicker to call for only water heating first if we need hot water quicker.
      Hope that helps.

    • @scmmotorhomers2386
      @scmmotorhomers2386 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, sorry if I do ever explain myself, I have a roller team Pegasus with a Truma. I have a I net ready to go when I watched your video, you pressed it once and the app appeared when I switch it off l only get the off appears

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Press and hold the button for 2 seconds and (if iNet is fitted) it will display “APP” if you release the button it should now be fine. If you press the same button, when you have been using the standard heating options, and hold for 4 seconds you should first see “APP” and then “OFF.” If you do not see “APP” displayed before “OFF” then it may not have iNet. You don’t have to have a Sim Card installed to use iNet if you only want to use app within close range to the van.
      I have put a link to the instructions below. Page 6 covers “APP.” We hope that you get it to work.

    Hi Paul, not a question about the Truma but a question about your roller team motorhome. Are you happy with the purchase? In your opinion, is it a good quality van? If you had a little more budget, what would you have purchased?

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. We are happy with the quality yes. I am very aware there are some negative opinions (some likely justified) about RT although they are part of the Trigano Group that includes Adria, Auto Trail etc. I have also read about issues with dealers that won’t do warranty claims if the vehicle wasn’t purchased from them because of [alleged] RT level of payments for such work. If our budget had of been larger; we would have still purchased the same van and spent the extra on additional holidays.

      @@LiveforTravel Great answer. We was looking at the Zefiro 685, is the T-Line a better spec? We thought about spending a bit more and maybe getting a Swift or Adria but their spec doesn't seem that much more. Almost as though your paying for the name?

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately it could be anything from the control panel being off to a disconnected or broken wire. Unable to help, sorry. The instructions, as I am certain you have read, state “The power supply to the heater may have been interrupted by switching off the vehicle control panel (not the Truma heater control panel). The control panel is used to control all other functions in the vehicle and it also switches the power supply for the consumers in your vehicle on or off.”

    Hiya - do you know why the Truma control panel doesn’t show the function to select power source? Electric hook up is in. 🤔

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is the same panel the selection is made individually when you are selecting whether you are heating the van (which slowly also heats the water) or just hot water.

      @@emilymacdonald6885 unfortunately I am not at the van today. Presumably the heating isn’t working? If you are on EHU and there is no symbol for electric (I don’t think it shows the gas symbol unless the system is “heating”) then it is a good idea to check the 240v sockets are working to make sure something hasn’t tripped.
