@@franker1111 In this particular case they were calling him @ 8am constantly & he had an open appointment he didn't show up until 10am. That's the reason in this case.

While working in a truck shop, I’ve had 2 wheel lock rings blow off but lucky me both times I had them in a safety cage. I only received some minor blistering each time. Another time I had one side of a loaded air ride trailer suspension jacked up changing a tire on the safety lane pit. As I walked down to pick up a socket that I dropped into the pit. The air bag blew out just as my head went past it. I’m lucky to still be breathing today. Those tires blowing out are no joke.

There used to be a rigid AWD truck in service with the British Army - there must've been thousands of them in several configurations and wheelbases - which had a peculiar wheel design with two half-rims which were bolted back to back with a thick rubber gasket between the two halves. It meant that you only needed a normal wheel wrench to split the rim and change the tyre, so there was a double ring of wheel nuts - one in the standard British Army olive green, to remove the wheel, and the other painted red, to split the rim. Very occasionally a driver would undo the red ones with a fully inflated tyre on - almost always fatal, so they had to put a wheel change endorsement on the license after they introduced a check on the driver's ability to identify the right set of wheel nuts to remove. Red/green is a common difficulty in colour blindness, so they also changed to having the flats on the nuts that had been red changed to alternating red and yellow.

Back in the day I was driving in a car on I-285 in ATL and a semi trailer right next to me had a blowout. Sounded like an explosion and I could feel the concussion in my car with the windows rolled up. Those things are no joke when they blow.

Good thing you got there when you did. Blind shipments are a stupidly arranged business. Alot of the time its because you're picking up in a location different from where the company is based and manufacturing whatever products they're shipping. It's a very sneaky process.

Used to work at a gas station years ago. At the end of every shift, we had to do what is called a "Shift Cut". We had to count all the cigarettes, count the lotto scratch tickets, shut down each register and print out a sales report, collect all the receipts and credit card stubs, count down the drawers, collect the lotto scan stubs, print off a lotto report, and gather all the safe drop slips. Usually we had 2 people on shift while doing it so one would be handling the register while the other handled the shift cut. Both people had to count the cigarettes and scratch tickets to make sure the counts matched. Major pain in the butt, and it is usually done 3 times per day. You just got unlucky to be caught during one when there was only one person working the register.

I use gas buddy for my personal vehicle and if I'm driving past a place that will save me any kind of money I stop to fill. Chevron has a new thing your first 3 stops you save 1 dollar a gallon. I don't have a big tank on my car but any savings is a save.

Justin, did something go wrong with the first like 10mins of the video? There was flickering or lil colorful glitches (not sure the right word to describe them) that kept happening. I actually rebooted my laptop bcuz I thought it was on my end 😂. Anyways, so happy ya got the load and I'm certain that was the reason for the Push for your butt to get there earlier 😂😁. I thought for sure Ky had broken that drone when it kept slamming into the side of the house. Poor Tiki, he wanted to go with his Papa 😢. That sound kind of like a flapping sound; I could hear too. That definitely would've been scary 😮. Ts and PS for all those downed trucks. Walmart does have the best snacks 👍. That drone music was 🤔 interesting, not bad but huh...is all 😉. It mostly likely a shift change. They have to do the inventory before their shift starts, and to make sure their cash drawer is right. You just need patience. Thank you for showing her patience. It goes a long way.

On a busy roadside always exit and enter from the passenger side. Just for safety ppl fly by and anything can happen when entering or exiting your driver side. Please just for safety use that passenger side of the vehicle tor safety reasons.

I had that happen back in the days of trip leasing I think it was poor communication and making sure they had the load covered. It all comes down to the driver or owner /driver is at the bottom of the food chain.
Bill has had that happen where another Crete driver gets his load and they have to find him another load.
I am not sure how that works but my Dad used to be a steel shipper and if a truck was not on time he would call someone else .
I was driving on the I-25 right on top of Palmer Hill (just North of Monument, CO) when a truck pulled up next to me and his trailer tire blew right next to my rear door.. both my wife and I very nearly created a skylight in our car.. I KNOW I very nearly had to change my shorts too.. When those tires go.. quiet they are NOT!

Ok... this is just me talking from my experience. Not here to preach or say i know all. I've only hauled equipment for the company i worked for then a liquid commodity then managed those hauling that commodity. That said, it seems not a huge stretch of critical thinking to believe the higher prices we pay for goods now is in part because of this 19,800 pound load you hauled to Florida. Nothing against you...i mean good for you Justin. A little better mileage than what you signed up for but still a rate for 40k+ and you only had to take half that. I feel the folks booking could help the overall economy by filling a trailer. That was our philosophy with the commodity... anything less than a legal load based on weight was a loss which trickled down to the country. Good for truck drivers but not the best use of resources for the greater. Idk...just my .02 from the consumer side. As an independent driver... the lighter the load for the most money the better. Catch 22 irony. Keep up the great content, J. Always rooting for you.
Edit: Not blaming the drivers at all as I know you don't have a say when a shipper loads light and that it's actually a mpg or so better with better handling when light. Just a thought on perhaps scared buyers (don't want too much on hand at a time), lazy sellers (unwilling to upsell to a full load to cover shipping/handling cost), or maybe just those willing to put a check in a box with no care for the bigger picture. Yall be safe. Check those tires and brakes.

U should get a dash camera. All the semi's and Hotshot truck's have them. The hotel has a hottub that's nice enough for 2 people. It was nice today Jesse had his jogging shorts on. Nathan said that the grandkids are pissed cause we ain't home. Eli the oldest was kicking on our bedroom door earlier. Now the dog's think we are home and hiding. We don't like hauling liquid products cause they shift the trailer around. Qe are going to step outside and watch the sunset. Cause we are going to head out in the morning to head to Montana. The driver who drives the truck we are using is back from vacation early and he was like who has my truck. Jackie told him and he was like it's ok guy's have fun. He took another Hotshot Truck.
Actually now it's BEST to have not only dashcams but side cams & rear view cam on the BIGG RIGS
@@scottycollins1829 that's what our driver's have. And they saved a driver from facing jail time. The other driver was charged. And is facing up to 25 year's in prison. Our driver sued the State Highway Patrol Department of Arkansas and won.
