It feels amazing to look out at the world and see it fully.. clearly.
I promise.. it gets better. It doesn’t happen in an instant.. it takes time, but one day, you’ll look out and all the fear will be gone and you will know.. you’re back to reality. 😊. I’m back. You will all be too.
Jordan.. thank you. You.. more than anyone helped me get back. Hugs!

I’ll keep watching.. but yea.. after 6 long years.. it’s just about over. I feel blessed, grateful and learned how to connect with my body, mind and emotions. I’ve learned a ton.. maybe that was the point. 😊. If I can get to this point.. anyone can. It gets better.

"Welcome home." When you started talking about how you felt like a kid again, I just broke down in tears. I wonder if that is part of my trauma that I've never addressed. I've never uncontrollably cried like that before. Just a river from my eyes.

Same! there is such a crazy sense of nostalgia i have towards this "pure joy" feeling i had as a kid. that i think everyone has, but either forgets about or never gets the opportunity to engage in the same feeling ever again.

Does anyone else experience a disconnect with recognizing others? What about a total loss of feeling any love or love for ones own life? Recognizing ones own life? Then suddenly snapping back and feeling that love and recognition again?

Then I go back to my same ways and stress about everything.
I now know why I’m here going through this. I have a lot of work to do.

I am going through the same thing. My DPDR was triggered when my son was born. When i first saw him, i had nothing but joy and love for him. But after we took him home that first week, everything came crashing down & i lost connection with him which in return, loss connection with myself, my surroundings, and others. I was 98% away from it, after a year and a half with mild up and downs. Finally felt free, felt my love for him and his mom again, and also myself. We have another on the way & he'll be born on Nov. 1st. As it gets closer, the more i got stressed, thinking about if it was gonna be like before. So ofc, i started getting stressed about every little thing. I began just looking to the clouds for some peace (i used to do this all the time) & then my derealization started popping back as i was doing this but i controlled it from getting too far. But now my OCD keeps checking the clouds to see if im good or not & it almost makes me feel as if i have nephophobia which it has now made me go full on DPDR again. Things do get better, but you gotta constantly work on yourself. Even after you feel as if you are finally free. Keep doing it till you almost completely forget it. My mom had it for 12 years & when it happened to me the first time, i talked to her about it & thats how she found out what shes been dealing with all this time. Shes finally fully recovered just by the sense of peace she felt from finally figuring out what was wrong with her this whole time. She worked on herself, not even caring about the DPDR anymore because it was so normal to her & she was just so fed up with it. And it went away pretty quick. Shes a strong woman

Great session, such a difficult thing with chronic pain, but even amongst the pain there is relaxation, health even, and when you relax, get still, you can switch into that good feeling. And the pain shrinks, even if for a mo. Your stuff is tiptop, you know 🙂

This meditation started with me crying my eyes out, then I felt like I was really connected to my body at one point. Also my voice sounded muffled when I was repeating what you were saying which was interesting. This was a really good progressive relaxation for me though! I feel so relaxed and connected.

It is very affordable too so you don't have to worry about spending a lot of money.
Here are a few tips for recovery:
Make sure to be doing progressive muscle relaxation in the morning and the evening. I have a video on my channel that walks you through it called "Befriend Your Body". This will help you get in tune with the felt sense, which is how you will start to feel muscle tension during your that is happening subconsciously.
-Frequently throughout your day, take 3-5 seconds to release the tension in your muscles. You can release only the tension you feel in specific areas, or you can do what's called "The Wet Noodle" and release all the tension at once. Then focus back on your day. This will help muscle tension from building up and causing you to enter sympathetic nervous system dominance.
-Make sure to have a solid morning routine and read the book "Atomic Habits" for tips on forming habits.
-Also do your best to avoid constantly researching your symptoms as this will make you feel overwhelmed.
-Focus on living your life as normal while staying in tune with the felt sense and releasing muscle tension through your day.
Those tips will help you get started.
I hope this helped and have an amazing day my friend and I hope to see you in the inner circle!

    • @coachjordanhardgrave

BoxerJ JP spend some time developing the felt sense. Before we can release body tension we have to be able to recognize body tension. You can use any self regulation strategy presented in the course for self regulation. Do the chair exercise and progressive muscle relaxation as much as possible to help develop the felt sense. :)

elevenelevenlife I studied Reiki and I also get sessions done to me! I noticed a really huge improvement in my emotional state afterwards, I love it it's very relaxing. I also need to get massage therapy as well though because I'm very tense

Don't give up! I would consult a neuro musclar therapist or a massage therapist and have them help you relax your body and be able to recognize what tension/relaxation feels like.

When it comes to keeping yourself fully engaged in life. I was just working on a project and I was calm but I also found myself thinking while working. Now is that okay?! Or do we need to be so fully focused we are not supposed to be thinking anything else but the task we are doing?

    • @Bjooooom
      @Bjooooom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

It’s important you focus on what you are doing but if focus on something for a long time and your body feels calm the feeling of focusing back on the body with your mind is so awesome and that’s the only thing I Miss about the trauma cuz it felt so great haha and When you feel good you also want to feel bad that cuz having an in between is nice and safe :))

This is one of many things that need to happen for recovery. There is no single that that will get rid of symptoms forever. It takes a lot of things.

I’ve been thinking about the Amazon fire lately and it’s causing me so much anxiety. I’m so terrified that it’s the end of the world. And I’ve heard things that we’ll be sent to the moon and I feel so disconnected and unreal it doesn’t even seem real and if that ever happened i would feel so disconnected, idk I just wouldn’t be able to handle it I can’t even think about it. I already feel unreal and all of this makes me feel so much worse

    • @djmaydraws3862

It’s not the end of the world. “A generation is going and a generation is coming but the Earth will remain forever” (Ecclesiastes 1:4) it’s hard not to focus on existential thoughts but it’s a good idea not to read into conspiracies or stuff that’s just gonna cause anxiety. Jordan’s got some great videos on this channel on how to fight existential fears and irrational fears. Give them a watch

Read my friend's J.D. King's book, "Why You've Been Duped Into Believing That The World Is Getting Worse" and you will never fear the world is ending again. :) He mentions me in the first few pages because I helped him in the developmental edit. #flex Here is the link! www.amazon.com/Youve-Duped-Believing-World-Getting-ebook/dp/B07L622DZM/ref=sr_1_1?crid=17ULTD8R3WSYK&keywords=why+you%27ve+been+duped+into+believing+that+the+world+is+getting+worse&qid=1566669454&s=gateway&sprefix=why+you%27ve+been+du%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-1
