FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these TH-cam videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackingbananas.com/pr...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I went to Portugal for my 29th this past July for the first time and it’s become one of my favourite destinations in Europe! Lagos is stunning and pretty cheap! 😁

We went to Madeira as part of our Portugal trip. Fell in love with it and will be going back for sure.
Language wise, would highly recommend Lingoda. I’m conversational level Spanish and have been doing lessons online every other day and my Spanish has improved SO much already in three weeks.
My plan is to be fluent by the time I go to central and South America next summer and start my travels in a Spanish school that has a homestay 🤞🏻
Look out for when their sprints/super sprints are on as there’s chance to get money/lesson credits back.

For the Mediterranean Trip: Party > Chill > Explore > Repeat. No matter where we go it'll always be great when in good company.
I love finding new, untouristy places whenever I travel, so I'm down for any spot.
Would be cool to do Eastern Italy and Croatia / Albania or Southern Spain / Northern Africa / Western Italy.

I believe it will be nice wherever on the med it will be :) although in Greece i found it a pity that we often had to rush to the ports to secure our spot as there was no booking system and super crowded in summer which meant less time at sea and less time swimming in the sea. Maybe a lesser known destination like Montenegro could be nice.

I travelled Portugal for a month this year and I loved it! I also visited madeira and it was the hightlight of my trip. The island is just amazing, everywhere you look feels like a dream!

I have got a small leather sofa and leather arm chair hardly used at my Dads house as he passed away recently... He lives in Hampton hill which just up the road from Twickenham rugby ground so if you have a man and van you can have it cheap AF x

I spent over a month at a work exchange in Lagos over the summer. Wow, I never partied so much in my life either, I think that it's just something about that place.
Also, I never found anyone was offended if I happened to speak Spanish in order to be understood while in Portugal. Beautiful country ❤️

I think the coast of Albania would be super cool to hear about and experience via a good video. Albania coast has, for a fraction of the price, a lot of what the coast (south) of France and the Italian coastline on the Mediterranean offer. I definitely want to check out Albania! For sailing too.

We go to Dresden every year for Christmas Markets! It's fantastic.
I might be a little old at 42 next year but I would be interested in a sailing trip as I am on sabbatical for one year starting August 2024. I would love a trip with some local culture, ancient sites, good (vegetarian) cuisine, lots of water activities, little partying and relatively comfortable cabines. As to the location, I think I would be most interested in the eastern Mediterranean as it's less travelled than France, Italy or Spain.
a dive trip would be fun. Maybe the Philippines or Caribbean. Thailand too all around the different dive spots.
I'd love to come on a sailing trip in September! Not too fussed about the itinerary as I'm sure we'd have the best time regardless :)

Check our San Pancho, north of Sayulita, way different vibe, but gorgeous beach and great food scene. Also Chacala, quiet beach town with a volcano you can hike up. Some hidden Petroglyphs and jungle hikes with waterfalls you can jump in.

Hi Christianne! Long time watcher of your channel, I was wondering if you plan on applying for a second year on a working holiday visa as the requirements change on July 1st 2024. From that date you dont need to have done the regional work to get a second year visa.

my BIG trip is to be in Santa Marta Colombia in 2025 for the 500th annaversary of the founding of the oldest europen settlement in South America ... PARTY!!!! plan to join us there
Portugal is very good for surfing, if your looking for an excuse to go, in the north i was in a little surf town called Vila Praya, and thers prob many.
its also nice to do some parts of the Camino in north ( this town and many coast spots too) portugal to Spain or the other way around, some people even just take some days of here and there , check out the area stay ina nice hostel. Thers farms and many festivals local and music , though I will avoid the south in summer and till October even center portugal which is so dry
PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN the south is not good
Many Portuguese worked Around Europe and they can speak more languages German french spanish, and if you just say hallo please and thank you in Portuguese its much appreciated.
I will be slightly carefull in some places in the south as solo female traveler.
I turn 30 in 2024 and am saving for 6-8 weeks in Mexico as a treat for my birthday at the start of 2025 - I have friends who have been to Mexico/Belize and they say it's incredible.

I’m VERY fortunate to have a family member acting as “mortgage host”, it’s like a guarantor, which means that even though I’ll be the one paying, I was able to get mortgage granted based on their stable income rather than my fluctuating one! 🙏🏼
