I am an old lady living in Lampasas, Tx. I absolutely love the way your brain works. You have this amazing ability to take junk and turn it into art. You have a marvelous talent.
Paul Cohen 100% agree!! Could put a solar cell panel and a small rechargeable battery in aswell. So it would be all self contained, but Yes!! A brilliant idea 💡 there👍 let’s make this happen people, needs alot of likes for it to be noticed👍👍👍👍👍
It’s fascinating to see how you tackle projects which take HOURS to prepare! But that is also what makes them special, since nobody else would necessarily put in so much effort. Awesome work, man!
Idea for you Nick. Cut up some resin and wood of different colours/types into even sized cubes. Then haphazardly drop them into a bigger mould. Set them in clear resin and turn it into something. Does that make sense?
Great bowl Nick. Your Yorkshire Grit is becoming a bit of an Easter Egg. Glad you stop and talk about issues your having with a project. I learn a lot more through that 🙂 speeding up your voice to say slow down was a good oxymoron 🙃. I check on the waffles occasionally gotta watch my carbs 😂
I love all of your work. My son and myself watch all your videos. He loves when you use all the funny voices. I wish I could buy some of your stuff. So creative and beautiful!
Not a computer. That is a full on twisted pair ribbon cable, I don't know of any computers that need that level of cross talk protection short of network cables, and this is the wrong form factor.
An old 68-pin internal SCSI cable would have been twisted like that, but this cable has only 60 pins and a connector that is similar to an even older internal 50-pin SCSI cable (which usually were not twisted), so it's neither of those.
I conceed that then. I guess I am too young for that, although I have seen the 50 pin non-twisted pair scsi ribbon cables. Obviously FDD and IDE cables are not twisted either. Everything is on serial these days, so you don't really see ribbon cables anymore, other than risers, which are usually flexible PCB instead.
Great looking bowl nick, you always impress with your ideas and it just proves how versatile turning is. Can’t wait to get my new lathe set up so I can start turning again.
You thanking us? No, thank you for making beautiful pieces ( bowls etc. ) I do not even work in this industry but I started watching one of the bunch of you guy's and gal's and love it! I wished I'd could go and meet all of you but I will continue to be a viewer and enjoy the heck out of all that's being made! Love it! 👌😎👍🏼
Saw the notification clicked on it ........and thought no ! I will wait till I get home from work chill sit back with a cuppa n watch nick work without distractions lol
just discovered your channel Nick, fantastic work you are doing. I like that you don't do normal, everything has a little twist, love it. Only thing, the music is just so hard to listen to, I have to turn the sound off when its going, but I like to hear what you have to say so I guess I will suffer through it because I haven't turned in years (high school 30 years ago) and I will be getting back into it in the next year or two.
I get that shattering effect too! Feels like hail in the shop! it's amazing how the lite touch helps! It only seems to happen when im roughing a project too! Great Video!
Bro, you are the prince of funk. I have a five gallon pressure pot and only use it on it's side with a platform in it just a little below center. Made a cradle for it and cast 12" mills and other stuff. Very roomy. Cheers, Lee
It's beautiful. I love your stuff. Such an inspiration, esp since I'm just beinning to work with the lathe. It's interesting to see how the pressure pot affects the final resin blank
Great job Nick! Love to see the combination of modern tech and old school craftsmanship. You've got to watch out for that Yorkshire Grit... The adventures it gets up to... Lol. Love the slow-mo bits! Keep up the awesome
Very nice and great bowl. As for the lack of a larger pressure pot. If u put a palm sand on the table next to the casting and turn it on, it will vibrate most of the bubbles to the surface. It works just not as good as a larger pressure pot.
I like the bowl Nick! Cool idea. Maybe you will do another one soon that includes transistors, resistors, capacitors, coils, etc. That would be mega cool!
I was gonna mention how that looks like the wires that go in a computer or even these new smart tv's, but then I read the comments. Still looks really cool
Man I just don't see why peter brown is so popular, it's not his knowledge, not witty banter, not original ideas and if they are they came from his followers making suggestions. He just doesn't light my fancy is what my grandmother would say. Now nick on other had definitely og ideas if gives props, knowledgeable ummmm sure, witty banter slam dunk!and oh yes he definitely lights my fancy.
That is awesome! On some of your projects I keep wondering if it is possible to turn a resin bowl like that and then encase it is resin and turn it again. My thinking is it would eliminate the exposed wire, or whatever you are using, in the finished piece. I know nothing about casting resin... Is that even possible?
have you ever made large candlestick with wood and resin . i think that would be awesome. especially with the big church candles and set beside a fireplace.
Great video Nick! The bowl turned out wonderfully. It's definitely some sort of ribbon cable, we used to use wire like that a lot to wire up hospitals in my old AV job. I would have kept some of the "rubbish" from that job if I had known about resin carving, what is the name of the resin that you and Heath Knuckles use? I wouldn't mind trying a bit of that :) Also, what is the little sanding thing you use at about the 5:50 mark? I've seen you use that a lot. Keep up the awesome work and hopefully one day we can meet in person :)
I am an old lady living in Lampasas, Tx. I absolutely love the way your brain works. You have this amazing ability to take junk and turn it into art. You have a marvelous talent.
Just had an idea pal. Fairy lights in resin! See if they'll still work? Could make one hell of a project
I love this idea, I'm just wondering what happens when one of the bulbs pops, as fairy lights are prone to do? :P
LED lights. They don't really heat up that much, either.
Omg yes
Yes this would be cool!
Know nothing about wood turning but really enjoy watching you create. I find It fascinating!
Later that week, Nick's boss asks if anyone saw the £400 extension cable for one of the machines. He thinks he dropped it somewhere.
lol... love it ..
Nick is "the Boss"
Haha. Fortunately... Nick's the Boss.
🤣 What did it smell like? Nice bowl dude!! 🤘👊
That would explain why that bowl costs over £230 ...
It’s fascinating to see how you tackle projects which take HOURS to prepare! But that is also what makes them special, since nobody else would necessarily put in so much effort. Awesome work, man!
I absolutely LOVE your channel! One is the best TH-cam recommendations, lol! Not only are you incredibly talented, but you’re entertaining and fun!
I love when he turns clear resin, it's so cool to see what he's doing on the other side of the piece. Great video!
Idea for you Nick. Cut up some resin and wood of different colours/types into even sized cubes. Then haphazardly drop them into a bigger mould. Set them in clear resin and turn it into something. Does that make sense?
Carl Manson hey Carl . I bloody love this idea mate . 🤗🤗 I’m defo going to do this man cheers dude 👍🏽👍🏽
Binging Nick’s videos has made me realize how much I wanna work with resin. Excellent work!
Nick, you are so creative. You are not afraid to try anything. Awesome Bowl!!!! Looks so cool
I was bowled over by that project, you were cutting it close to the wire with that finish, puns over with now nick. Great vid as always
Andy DaZe lol 😂😂👌🏼
I'm electrical contractor myself Mr Zammeti...
Ribbon cable...
Used for PCs and control...
glenn moreland ahh thanks dude I thought it might be something like that 👌🏼🤗
Ribbon cord for a scale house printer. Also as an electrician, this is awesome. Definitely would use it as my popcorn bowl.😁🤘
This guy and bobbydukearts are my heroes ❤
Same here! And, funny enough Safiya and Cristine of simplynailogical. 🤦🏻♀️ Must be the resin peelpr0n and shiny stuff.
Wow! That came out epic! I love it! Definitely a work of art. Beautiful! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I might enjoy the mini-game of "where's the Yorkshire Grit gone to this time?" a little too much
William Burke lol 🤗👍🏽👍🏽
Same!
Same here. Where in the world is "Yorkshire grit"? 😅😋😁
Maybe we shoukd take a pot on holiday & photograph it across the globe!!
You’re honestly currently my fav TH-camr you’re so frickin creative and funny in a quirky dad kind of way
After the recent videos, I hadn't realized that i miss the finding the yorkshire grit bit. Should bring it back.
Toni Taylor Hahaa thanks dude . Glad you liked it mate
I'm wanting someone to make a flower petal bowl
I love all of your work. My son and myself watch all your videos. He loves when you use all the funny voices. I wish I could buy some of your stuff. So creative and beautiful!
Looks like a ribbon cable for machinery or an old computer.
Not a computer. That is a full on twisted pair ribbon cable, I don't know of any computers that need that level of cross talk protection short of network cables, and this is the wrong form factor.

I subscribed before i watched the entire vid just for your awesome accent and personality! =) Now i'll watch the video.
When I’m down and depressed, you make a difference in my life.
You thanking us? No, thank you for making beautiful pieces ( bowls etc. )

SNEEK'S WALL ART aka hahahaa 😂🤗👍🏽
The German word for a mess of cables is "Kabelsalat". So you made a cable-salad-bowl.
I love 💕 watching Nick's videos, but they also break 💔 my heart because it reminds me of my hubby who's in Heaven, he passed away from cancer.
My best quote from you is “don’t throw it away, you can make something out of that”. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😍👌🏾 hands down!
Nice work! I wonder if you could make a resin lampshade with colored see through bits. That would look way neat.
I really like all the new editing and cut shots to funny clips.
It was really satisfying when you were polishing it seeing the change in the shine and transparency

Lee Hedges thanks very much dude
I love all your videos. You crack me up. I'm not a woodworker. But in your videos I feel there is a lot of resin wasted.
I get that shattering effect too! Feels like hail in the shop! it's amazing how the lite touch helps! It only seems to happen when im roughing a project too! Great Video!
lol, love the slow mos of you getting festooned in resin shavings, never gets old....
Bro, you are the prince of funk. I have a five gallon pressure pot and only use it on it's side with a platform in it just a little below center. Made a cradle for it and cast 12" mills and other stuff. Very roomy.

Alina L hey thank you very much Alina 🤗👍🏽
“It’s all gone a bit fluffy!” 😂😂😂
Great job Nick! Love to see the combination of modern tech and old school craftsmanship.

I think it's brilliant, nice for the office
Another project that amazes me. Looks great!
Hello Goodnight!! very good your jobs .... I have a question ..... that you put in the molds so that the piece is not stuck with epoxy?
Just started watching and subscribed. The videos are enjoyable and relaxing to watch!
banjinbandit hey thanks buddy 🤗👍🏽
That was different. What kind of epoxy do you use? I’ve got a bunch of left overs and need to clear my shop.
Stelios The Greek I use www.resin4art.com

You got me all wired up now 🤣🤣🤣 that's awesome I love it. James
That turned out crazy funky good!
Nick makes the coolest things
That looks amazing!!!!!, I'll see you at makers central !!!!!
Another clever project! Like you, I always look at things and think 'I could make something out of that!' Hope nobody's looking for that wire.
Pretty cool project. That would make a cool shade for a lamp. God Bless
Love it! Cheers from Canada mate!
Pretty cool! I’d like to see something with fluorescent colors turned under a black light!
Awesome job Nick. Keep up the great work!
Gorgeous as always! It would’ve been awesome had you kept the wire as that long sheet though, I love the rainbow look
How about shredded paper in resin?
TheChipmunk2008 that’s cool idea 🤗
Maybe construction paper mixed in for some pop
How about shredded $$?
Would love to know what type of sander that is! Little hand held piece u always use and it gets on the smaller areas pretty well! Love that!
I just started watching you and I cant stop
That sounded creepy. Your videos****
I love it. It looks very nice. Great job
Impressive! What do you do with all the items you make? They are so wonderful!
Very unique as always! Turned out very well. I think it's extraordinary! 😉😁
Uma das melhores, gosto muito de suas artes, parabéns!

tonya farhad thank you
Nick, where do you get your emblems you put on your projects made at ?
hey buddy from here mate www.williams-eng.co.uk/
I was gonna mention how that looks like the wires that go in a computer or even these new smart tv's, but then I read the comments. Still looks really cool
Another amazing project
Nick Yorkshire Zammeti,
this is awesome! Love it😍👍🏻
Fantastic bowl once again. Cheers mate
Well worth the wait nick thanks for another great vid !
SNEEK'S WALL ART aka thank you so much
An electricians nightmare bowl 😂 WOW that came out fantastic Nick ! And you never know where that Yorkshire grit will turn up 😂
Did you get inspiration from Peter Brown?
existingevil I think you might be right :-) Perhaps we'll see something made with coloured cotton wool & resin next eh? ;-)
Well they’re friends, so probably.
I respect your opinion but 555,000 people disagree with you.
Peter Brown is cool enough
Great idea mate, looks fantastic, keep them coming buddy!
Love your videos, greetings from Paraguay
Spaghetti serving bowl? I had a chuckle when you went outside to get your polish :D
John Clark thanks for watching John 🤗👍🏽
I was also thinking it would be neat to serve pasta in it. Wouldn't know where the pasta ended and the wire began - lol.
Sadly resin is not food safe
If you have a resin bowl and coat it in mold release, then put resin in that, will the new resin stick to the resin bowl?
Buying this right now!!Thanksyou love love love it!!
That is awesome!

love all your videos plus your sence of humour. my wife loves the necklace who got it for you
john farrell hey thanks . I bought that for me i Spain 🤗👍🏽
have you ever made large candlestick with wood and resin . i think that would be awesome. especially with the big church candles and set beside a fireplace.
WELL DONE SIR !!! How much did it dull your tools making this?
Mike Stevens hey not much really . They will need a sharpen though 👍🏽
Hey Nick.... Question ... I make Paracord bracelets and have a lot of scraps, would you want them to make a bowl or vase?
Very cool, that turned out great buddy!
Carl Jacobson thanks dude
Hey Nick, if you want to make a resin project crystal clear, I have found that using CA glue on the surface will clear it almost immediately.
Billy Coleman hey thanks bill I’ll try that buddy
It’s Computer Ribbon cable Nick. Smart looking bowl man love your Friday vids and projects
Looks beautiful!! That is a bit of cable for networking 😂
Am going to half to make 1. Looks great.
A truly wicked looking bowl.
It's an old IDE extention cable. Mainly found on like pre-2009 hard drives.
Cool Project Nick! Got to love something that came from the rubbish and turned into something so awesome... you gave it life again. 👍👍
The Muz Shop hey thanks buddy 👍🏽👍🏽
That's beautiful! I'd love to have a bowl like that on my table to toss my phone and keys in! lol
Great video Nick! The bowl turned out wonderfully. It's definitely some sort of ribbon cable, we used to use wire like that a lot to wire up hospitals in my old AV job. Cool looking bowl.... may i ask why you use micromesh before yorkshire grit?
How often do you have to buy new containers of Yorkshire grit and shellawax cream?
I liked the bowl and the trim.
Fab bowl well done Nick. Bryan
Today I learned that "floor" is the same as "ground" in British english. ;)
Floor is more for indoors, ground is more outside, but that isn't hard and fast
I take some information for granted shoot
