Your videos are so calming to watch. I've been having a lot of anxiety induced insomnia and watching you before bed is the only thing that is helping. Plus then I rematch in the morning when I miss the end result because it's always stunning!
Catching up on some of your old videos, when I came across this one. I adore this project. I've had a life long love of lighthouses, and this is just awesome! Great job! If I had the talent to make something like this, I would probably paint some of the base "rock" gray to match the gray of the lighthouse. Such a cool project!
That turned out awesome! I really like the choice of woods you used for the top part. And the base was a great choice too, since it looks like rocky ground. Wonderful job yet again. 👍💙
OMG!!!!! This is ABSOLUTELY BY FAR my favorite piece you've ever made!!! The wood burl looks just like cliff rocks. And the lighthouse is perfect!!! I want it! 😫
I know this is an old video and you probably won’t see this but I really appreciate everything you do. It’s really encouraging to see your inventive mind come up with ideas during work.
Love it! Once I saw you working on the rocks I guessed it was going to be a lighthouse. I've always wanted to live in a lighthouse! Great work as usual Nick!
Nick, I've been following your works for quite a while now, but I must say this piece is the prettiest one I saw; you amazed me by your originality. You really are a master. Please keep producing beautiful things, but, to my eyes, this was the top.
Brodie Bennett that thought crossed my mind as well. So glad to see I'm not the only one. Just about all the thoughts I had along the way were mentioned by someone else in the comments. Cheers.
I love light houses and I've watched this one a few times but I wanted to watch you so i am rewatching this one agan. I subscribed to Charlie the maker and he just makes a person happy doesn't he. He's awesome because of you. I love the relationship you both have. Love you both and keep the videos coming! You guys are awesome!!
The more of your work I watch, the more I realise that you work with the material, rather than with a specific design in the front of your mind. I like it, some of my textile work is created the exact same way. Loving watching the work that goes into creating wwood and resin work, very inspiring!
Brilliant. With the selection of woods I'd venture to say that bit would be about $1250 to $1700 retail, with the work that's gone into it. Almost pained me to see those expensive pieces of exotic woods all going into the same piece, but it 'turned' out absolutely brilliant! Cheers Nick. #YorkshireGrit
We just discovered your channel by accident. So far my five year old grandson and I have watched approximately six videos and amazed each and every time with your work. You also keep us laughing. We love your work and enjoy your channel. Thank you!
Nick, That was a very clever use of the blank. The colors and the wood are beautiful. Thanks for taking your time to video and share with everyone. Jim
The hybrid blank is magnificent! A lighthouse was the perfect choice! Knowing what it is, that's one thing. Watching the project being made is what I enjoyed!
Hi Nick, I have noticed that you always cast in a square and then have to turn it round. I looked at the price of resin and after my heart started beating again I thought about the amount of waste that is just turned off. Have you tried using PVC pipe to cast in, it is cheap (I like cheap) and can be turned off without damage to your tools and the big advantage is no waste.
Perfect! At first I thought it was going to be a hanging pendant style light. But, this is so much more creative. I'm very happily binging on you right now. So far, this is my favorite piece. I'm thinking burl wood and dried flowers floating in resin, would make a cool vase. Thoughts?
Now that's creativity at it's best. Love, love it be creative like this more often. Thank you love your channel, turned my granddaughter on to it now she's hooked too. Thank you
Wow. That’s a pretty complex turning. Lots of parts. I was at the Gwinnett Woodturners meeting tonight and your name came up. Fortunately I was there to clear up your name is Nick and you’re not from New Zealand. 🤣
Beautiful..I loved the blank before and I think this was the right decision to show all the beautiful colours that are in it off..I like the wood you used for the top and for the base looks incredible when all put together 😀
Love your content, Sir. The whole "what will it be?" thing is a bit pointless though, what with the title of the video, and the thumb-nail of the finished piece.
Hey, Nick!! Thanks for making that beautiful lighthouse!! I collect them!! I have over 200 little miniature lighthouses in my apartment!! You did a great job. ♥️
Nick, why is it so hard for people to figure out what the NZ means, it's not new Zealand, it's your initials. All they have to do, is to read your name Nick Zammeti, N. Z. I've seen your name mentioned so many times, with people saying your from New Zealand it's crazy. Your lighthouse turned out to look very nice in the end, I hate it when I can't figure out what to turn out of a blank.
That's really beautiful. I love how the Burl looks like waves crashing onto it. It can even be interpreted has a cliff or growth. The purple in that blank is exceptional. It's gorgeous. Another great one Nick!
Zainab Ayoub speaking of beautiful, wow, that profile pic. So glad to see more women getting into woodturning. There are some amazing artists out there of all genders, and even some who have to feel their way through the process. Check out "TheBlindWoodturner" he is actually blind and turns some beautiful bits and bobs as well.
I love your videos 😍 especially your Yorkshire grit reveals, they make me laugh 😂 and my little man (8 months) falls asleep watching them with me so win-win-win 😁
just watched this and I knew it would be a light but not until late in the video did I guess it would be a lighthouse. I don't do lathe work although I love to watch your posts , I do jewelry especially wire wrap. This piece reminded me of when I started a piece and my grandson asked what it would be when I was done. I explained that I didn't know that the stone and the wire had to tell me what it wanted to be. I love your work and I hope to see many more.
i would say the view of the main blank is best as it looks at between 23 and 24 minutes and in the still images at the end, that front face on the main blank looks like a staircase!!! i think this project was amazing, very original!!!!
This piece is absolutely gorgeous and well crafted! Beautifully creative and skillful people such as yourself spurred my passion for woodwork! I can't wait to reach this level of awesome. Maker's Central is going to have a great turnout! Hope you continue to create many more wonderful pieces in the years to come!
I love that lighthouse!!! I collect them!! I have over 200 in my collection!!! I would love to live in one!! Wish I could afford to buy that one you made!! Great job!!!!❤️
Most Beautiful Lighthouse Ever! I love lighthouses. They remind me how Jesus Christ is always a beacon when we need HIM. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. God bless you.
Wow Nick I watch all of your vids but I must have missed this one and wow that is beautiful! I love how you added the base and the lighthouse is just amazing the colors and the shape are wonderful!!
Love to watch you create. You have a great eye for matching up the wood with resin colors. Channels like yours make us appreciate handmade gems.
That wood that you are using to put on either side of the hybrid blank is such a beautiful piece! I love the deep color!
Funny how he keeps asking "so you know what it is yet?" and I'm like... Uh yeah I read the title XD... Came out beautiful!
Lol I forgot what the title was, so yeah, I was guessing
That was fascinating to watch this lighthouse come into being. Absolutely gorgeous!
Your attention to detail is phenomenal. Love your work.
Your videos are so calming to watch. I've been having a lot of anxiety induced insomnia and watching you before bed is the only thing that is helping. Plus then I rematch in the morning when I miss the end result because it's always stunning!
That is really cool
Bobby Duke Arts "I want that!". 😎

I've always been drawn to light houses and this one is fantastic. :)

I'd love to see you turn a wine glass or a tea cup and saucer. That would be amazing
OMG!!!!! This is ABSOLUTELY BY FAR my favorite piece you've ever made!!! The wood burl looks just like cliff rocks. And the lighthouse is perfect!!! I want it! 😫
That is the most amazing lighthouse I've ever seen. Magnets might work to attach the bottom to the 'rocks'.
Good idea or velcro would also work
I know this is an old video and you probably won’t see this but I really appreciate everything you do. It’s really encouraging to see your inventive mind come up with ideas during work.

And here I was thinking it was going to be some sort or wired lava lamp...
I guess I was just too distracted by all the gorgeous purple!
Brodie Bennett that thought crossed my mind as well. So glad to see I'm not the only one. Just about all the thoughts I had along the way were mentioned by someone else in the comments.
Cheers.
Had the same thought until he started to turn the base then I knew it was a light but not a lighthouse!
Make it hollow and get a light in there for some sexy mood lighting.
@@robertveronda4225 I read the title
Surprisingly great! Even though i knew it was a lighthouse! Tidy up boy!
Kiddos and I stumbled across your videos and love them! Your work is so fun and beautiful , we are hooked! 🇨🇦

At 5:30, I was thinking how great a wide candle holder would be great!
The more of your work I watch, the more I realise that you work with the material, rather than with a specific design in the front of your mind. I like it, some of my textile work is created the exact same way. Loving watching the work that goes into creating wwood and resin work, very inspiring!

You are so fun to watch!
thanks So much , very kind of you . Take care
I thought it was a candle stand but yet.....your video headline has given away the answer! Such an awesome wood work.
Beautiful project brother! Sweet looking blank too! Thank YOU! 😁🤘 I have an idea. I’ll shoot you a message later. 😜
hi Heath. it was good to see you on Nick;'s chanwel when yo went to Makers Central. you guys were great together!
I love that my 2 favorite makers are friends. I love you too!
Nick,
That was a very clever use of the blank. The colors and the wood are beautiful. Thanks for taking your time to video and share with everyone.

That was like the Turner version of writers block 😂 lovely job great project 👍

John Fithian-Franks well, to be honest... Less waste, anyway.
Hey John , would be idea but the wood comes square in most cases so it’s hard to do that. I see what you mean of course and resin is expensive
How about rounding off the wood before putting it into the resin mix in the plastic tube?
This is so beautiful! It reminds me of my grandmother. She loved lighthouses!
Perfect! At first I thought it was going to be a hanging pendant style light. But, this is so much more creative. I'm very happily binging on you right now. So far, this is my favorite piece. I'm thinking burl wood and dried flowers floating in resin, would make a cool vase. Thoughts?
That would of indeed been really cool.
Man, I would be proud to have that on a shelf in my house even before you turned it.
why not add magnets to the base that way you can access wires and also keep it held?
Anthony Kasimakis good idea 😜👍🏽
Nick Zammeti NZ WoodTurning thank you man fun watching your vids. and seeing what you do.
Or a screw thru the bottom?
How can you dislike this project. That's absolutely amazing.
Someone who remembers the old ronseal saying.
"Does exactly what it says on the tin!"
It's beautiful! I could tell that you changed your mind at several points in time. What a fascinating process to watch. I love it.
Oh man that is amazing!!! Absolutelly fantastic! As allways, great video Mr. Zammeti! Love from Norway
Eivind Krey Hanssen Thanks buddy 😜👍🏽
Erweree
What a beautiful combo! The wood is stunning and it really stands out against the deep purple. Great combo!
You should make some ocean waves crashing 🌊on to the side it would even more cooler and beautiful❤️

Lightbulb moment! I've wondered off and on why he's called New Zealand Wood Turner when he's not from or at NZ... don't I feel blond
Rachel B you’re not alone. The goal is to get a large enough channel that no longer happens.
Hausa thanks buddy for clearing that up ✌🏽🤗😂😂
I got your back...zach...er I mean Nick. lol
ManCraftingTM He’s not from New Zealand? What?!? 🤣
I absolutely loved this one. Was so satisfied watching in and happy when the light got put in it like I hoped so badly. ❤️
What a great project Nick :-)
thank you Pam

"Anyone know what I'm making?" Ummmm... According to the title, a lighthouse? Lol
By far one of my favorite pieces of yours. Absolutely brilliant and gorgeous
I was disappointed when the burl went onto the lathe. Glad I stuck with you. Forgive me for doubting your creativity.
This was so intricate and creative! Should have way more views! One of my favorite pieces
Love your content, Sir. The whole "what will it be?" thing is a bit pointless though, what with the title of the video, and the thumb-nail of the finished piece.
But the thumbnail isn't the finished piece but yeah the guessing was pointless

Great craftsmanship, but it looks kinda like a wang.
WOW Nick that lighthouse is amazing. Even the light at the top spins.
