@@sedgetool Next time you do a lost in the catalog episode, can you possibly demonstrate the copier scanning set (486534)? I couldn’t find a single video anywhere on the WWW that shows how to use it and potential tips and tricks. In particular, I didn’t know that the tiny short staff that comes with that set is actually supposed to be a guide bearing. Who knew? :-). I almost threw it away because I didn’t think it was part of the set just didn’t make sense.
I had given up on the cross stop because the measurement was not accurate. Just finished watching this and realize you pointed out my mistake of not adjusting for the 700...Thank you.
The last thing u showed were the dovetailed side stops. My question is…how to read the scale for setting the stop? There doesn’t seem to be a clear reference point for that.
Always thought the numbers on the player stop block were for thickness of material rather than height of the plate, so moving from 30 to 40 would only give a 5mm reveal, as you’d divide the thickness by 2 to get the centre line? But must have misunderstood as clearly it worked with the 10mm reveal here.
I love my XL, it makes me smile when I get it out of the box. 😊
me too

Couple of good tips, Thanks.
But can’t you find any more space for more systainers?
There must be some space you can find someplace.
I'm always looking for ways to improve my shop.
I’d like to get the door plan from your end user class to make some doors with a DF 700
I would have to find them..Hmmmmmmmm
As an owner of the DF500, I was shocked at the size of the DF700’s bits. Good lord! Haha
For sure !!
Can I use the DF 500 8mm detachable connectors with this domino? Thanks
Nope … the plunge depth settings do not match up
Hello Sedge, does the grip fit from the domino xl to the Df 500?
Nope the grip on the XL does not fit on the 500
@@sedgetool Thanks Sedge 👍
Unrelated Question- what height did you use for your Festool cabinets behind you in the video? I’m planning on building some and your heights perfect.
1024mm

on the DF500 it is the thickness...not the XL
@@sedgetool Aha, that’ll be where I got confused then, thank you.
So 2 second delay makes hole little more dust free.
Yep
