Thanks Ernest. I added the Slug power kit to my .25 Mav. Now it pushes 34gr slugs 1025fps/80ft-lb. Front reg is set to 180, rear 150. Good consistent groups out to 250. Acceptable groups at 300. Best platform ever!
My .30cal Sniper saw its max power of 102-103 ft/lbs with 49gr JSB Monsters w/ the out of box factory setup... wheel setting #7 and regs were at 110/120bar and 140/150bar

Obviously this is a.25 cal. Would you start the regs at the same pressure’s for a.22 cal Maverick? With the slug power kit installed. We sure are getting a lot of.25 cal information this year LoL thanks

Thank you Ernest! I got the Maverick compact .22 shooting 18.13gr at 885-900fps on pw5 leaving pw7 for slugs. But i couldn't get the sound to sound quieter, it's more like a smacking sounds. Any tips? Thank you

So I have a 22 Mav Compact all OEM factory stud equipment and I want to tune for 4 different pellets like the Jsb 18.13, Hades 15.89,HN Barracuda 15.1 and the Crosman HP 14.3. How would one tune to be able to accurately shoot the different pellets just by adjusting the Power wheel for the different pellets
Figure out how much power is needed for the heavy one, tune the top range of the dial for that. See if the minimum side of the wheel has settings that suit your other ammo at the high power reg settingd. I just did this with my Impact slugs to polymags.
@@realblakrawb that actually works very well. My Maverick compact in 22 caliber is set up to shoot 18.13s on PW7 at about 900 fps. 15.89s on PW6 at high 800s fps. I've been able to mess around with H&Ns and Crosman Premier on lower settings. So far, everything has been great. I just can't shoot heavier pellets because I'm maxed out on the power wheel.
so I got my gun dialed in and set my first reg at 180 and second at 150. I got everything dialed in no leaks everything is good. I went outside and shot the first shot and wow it was super quiet no power ... so I figured it needed to be shot a few times, so I kept on. I refilled the mag and topped off the bottle at 250 bar and fired again now the pellet goes into 3/4 " plywood to the skirt not all the way through like before each shot was going through 2 - squares of plywood and hitting the back stop concrete board. I am asking could this be a hammer spring issue?? or is there a number I can call to get the factory settings for the regulators for 30 cal maverick sniper? any help is greatly app
Did you just adjust anything before you adjust thr hammer spring? Is it factory settings then you adjust the hammer spring? Please i wanna know so ill follow your steps to adjust my maverick.. my max 7 is just 890 to 897fps .22
What kind of airgun shoots longer and is more effective at long distances. Fx3 impact or Fx Maverick (sniper) Can you answer me honestly about that. It is incredibly difficult to get an honest answer from those on TH-cam who have posted videos about FX 3 Impackt and FX Maverick. I need to shoot 300 - 400m to kill with cal 25 or cal 30. Which air rifle of the two is better for 300 - 400 m shooting. Maverik can be regulated, they say, and Impackt can be tuned, so what should one choose for 300 - 400 meters in cal 25 - 30??? Please give me an honest answer so I don't buy the wrong one. I have tried shooting with both at a dealer, but it was only at 50 m and there was no difference between the two airguns. 
Hello, I recently purchased a maverick and I noticed that it has an air leak in the needle when fired without the cheek support, I changed all the orings and continue, is this normal?
I have the maverick sniper, I have put the slug kit but 150 bar of the reg I can't open it and the power drops. I have the hammer fully open, it doesn't take any more because it doesn't arm. Is there a way or does it work up to 150?
My .30 maverick showed up with 1st reg @ 120 and rear wide open. power wheel on 7 velocity with 44grn was ~900, Only drops in velocity no matter what/how i adjust. Current settings are 150/120 max hammer preload, pw on 7, velocity ~ 900fps. My gun refuses to shoot over 900fps.
For 120bar on the second regulator you dont need max hammer preload. As it is right now bring the power wheel to 6 or 5 and see if the speed increase. If it does you need to decrease the hammer spring preload.
@@ariamaguila8549 it required a lot of modding by fx usa to get it to perform properly. Every single part of the gun needed reworked or upgraded. It took fx 7 days of working on it to get it to perform like it should have.

Hello Mr Rowe. I have a maverick vp .30 cal, 1st regulator set at 175bar and 2nd at 150bar. Shooting the FX Hybrids at 930 fps. My question is: after the gun its not been used for a couple of hours or days, the first shot is like 30/35 fps slower. Based on your experience what do you think is causing that? Thank you.

I have a brand new maverick that was “tuned “ from where I purchased. My spread and s.d are all over the place one shot will be 890 the next 821 then 860 then maybe 870 for example. Any ideas?
I kind of had/have the same problem. My approach was to buy a tin of cheap pellets (Crosman Premier) and start shooting, so that I cycle the gun without wasting premium ammo. Also, try to fill the bottle as close to 250 bar as you can. That has helped me lower extreme spreads from 120 fps to around 20 with some fliers that stretch it to 40. Interesting thing is that those outliers are always on the lower side.

@@tubeyuber803 sure thing! The 250 bar fill seemed to help setting better the first regulator. I was filling it up to 180 bar and when I filled it to 250 bar, many of my issues (crazy spreads) were fixed. I also don’t think that having it at 250 bar damages the tank. Those tanks can take up to 400 bar, so 250 is actually okay
I just picked up a vp with a 600mm.Im unable to turn the reg past 100bar without loosing velocity..Pw on 7 screw maxed out. Tried 125 bar and got 660fps. At 145bar it wouldn't even spit the slug out. At100 bar I can get a 23 gr nsa slug to shoot 881 fps.. 39 ft lbs.. ordered the slug kit to try and hit 67ft lbs advertised but I'm not too optimistic it's going to add a 100percent increase ft lbs. Barrel in slug position..am I missing something? Had a compact .22 and was able to turn up the reg to 150 with great results..Not sure what's up with my new gun.csnt get through to anyone at top gun to help

my brand new 177 maverick has inconsistent fps using 16gr jsb monster. it has factory settings. the speed is 941 964 951 973 945 952 what is wrong with it?
@@chrisford9045 not even fx could fix it. They gave up after 3 weeks of working in it and sent it back with a different hammer spring and wished me luck. My .177 wildcat mkIII is the same way. Sent it to them, they kept it a month, worked on it for 2 weeks, put a heavier hammer in it and sent it back with the same note saying they can't figure out why consistency and accuracy sucked and blamed it on the barrel and valve, wished me luck. I have given up on FX, I ordered 4 Airmaks rifles (1 Caiman X .22, 2 x Katran CB's, 1 Krait L) and all of them showed up functioning perfectly and more accurate. I'm so impressed with them, I ordered a standard katran and a Katran L.
Good info Ernest, I have my maverick 600 mm set up at 170 on the first and 150 on the second regulator but getting a lots of differences in the velocity between shot. any suggestion?
Mine dropped to 617fps with the 170/150 tune that works for so many people. ATM, I hate my maverick. It feels like a chinese Impact. Clanky, rough, stiff and slow, with so much first stage travel it's off-putting and trigger adjustments to remove the ridiculous travel will not allow break to be crisp. Very disappointed in my maverick. My Wildcat Mk III and Impact Mk II are so much nicer it's almost like I got a FX clone instead of a real FX.
170 and 150 it’s a lot try 130 and 110 don’t put too much pressure on regs also a good speed for a pellet is 850 and a slug 915 is good don’t blow your head thinking you have to hit the 1000 speed 👍
@@elmasloco6538 170/150 is the go to tune for hybrids for their preferred 960ish velocity. Lighter Nsa's prefer faster. The jsb 44's and heavier are stable below 930.
My 600mm .30 won’t go over 880 with the exact same tune, when the gun was new it was 970-990 no problem, ever since the cocking rod grub screws let go it’s pretty much been a $2000 paper weight, very disappointing
@@n2shooter I did, it went to FX Usa and they discovered a faulty hammer spring shuttle and an incorrect hammer weight, repaired under warranty, upgraded to 700mm barrel and it shoots lights out

I’d also like to see a video on the pufff of air coming out of the little hole beneath the reg gauge. Seems to be a popular issue.

Compact version should shoot with a lower hammer tension and higher pressure because of barrel length

Supreme liner is 1/16 and the Supreme heavy is 1/17 i belive
It is actually 1/24 for the standard barrel and 1/18 for the heavy slug liner.
