Excellent, thanks. Just went through this myself a couple weeks ago and learned some of the things you mentioned the hard way :) . It's all good because I now know more about the rifle than when I started and how to make the adjustments work their best. My rifle is currently shooting 5 shot groups with a 2 fps spread. That makes me happy. Love this platform (WC MKIII) and FX Airguns.
Hi. I'm a big fan of the channel. I purchased a wildcat MK3 and I have a small leak at the end of the pipe in the thread where the liner is pressed but it only loses air when it is not cocked, when it is there is no leakage. I know it's coming from behind the gun block probably from a damaged orring or pin valve. I just wanted an expert opinion to help me pinpoint the exact source of the leak so I can fix it so I don't have to replace everything. Continued with the excellent videos. Hug
No answer yet, Ernest !!! 😪 I wish you do such a informative video about the Bobcat MK II !!!! I speak for all the 1000th of Bobcat owners around the world ❗️By the way... Thank You!
will there be more videos of tunning? accessories? upgrades or other new info on the Wildcat? i own the WC sniper 700 mm BT version and have very little luck with other YT videos of information about tunning the WC, does it go well with slugs? pellets? There's plenty of info on the M3 impact, but you guys have other models so would like to see an update video other than the 2 yr old series on assembly and disassembly.
Hi and thanks i found this really informative, i have just purchased a new Wildcat mark 3, sub 12ft pound model .177 custom with the 500 barrel and have done some testing with the prefeered pellet being JSB 8.44 grain , it is filled to 230 bar and the regulator is at 50 bar, the results are rather disappointing achieving 726 fps which equates to 9.88 ft lb, cani tune up and what is recommended, any help advice would be appreciated.
You should find that running the reg pressure at 60 bar give you around 12 ft/lbs without any other mods. The .177 model won't go much about 20 ft/lbs just because of the efficiency of the calibre. If you go much over 60 bar, you'll need to also increase the hammer spring and weight - lots of info on that if you search around. For max power you'll need a .30 cal calibre change kit. HTH
@@FazerWiz hey great thanks for that i actually experimented myself following ernests guidelines i was disappointed not recieving feedback from the man himself but hey ho, i made the following adjustments if it helps anyone else, my original reg pressure was at 50 i adjusted it to 60, the hammer spring adjuster was set at 2,20 mm and i increased this to 3mm the difference this made was from 10.1 ft lbs to 11.3 ft lbs which for minor adjustments was impressive, i was using jsb exact diablo at 8.44 weight, these i found to be the most accurate and consistent for my gun, great gun by the way im very happy that it is very accurate and i can do things with it in the future would recommend.
I just bought my wildcat and tried adjusting the reg how you describe in this video. My reg does not go above 100 bar. I ended up unscrewing the reg to far and it sprang a leak after about 1 full turn counter clockwise. I screwed the reg back in and that caused the washer that came loose to end up damaged from the threads. Replaced the o ring and reg still not going past 100 bar. What is my issue?
Apparently you have some say with FX but the Maverick and the Wildcat are not legal in Canada due to the removable bullpup. Why doesn’t FX try to make some alterations so the bullpup not removable and make it legal for Canada?

Yes, a plenum extension would create the ability for higher FPS, the process would be the same, except you will need more hammer tension to work with the added plenum.

The speed you're looking for can depend a lot on what you are trying to achieve. 870 FPS can be a good speed if you're trying to achieve one thing but maybe it's too slow or fast if you're trying to achieve something else. Hello, this is my second fx and i just bought a stock fx wildcat mkIII .22 which is 41 joules, can i do your procedure to increase power up to 55 joules? thank you
Yes turn the reg up to 150 and then find the max speed, and then back off a little so it’s not maxed out:) then take some time to find the most consistent speed around that 860-900fps mark and then fine tune for accuracy:) have fun! Don’t forget don’t change the reg or the hammer spring when the gun is cocked!

Ahhh I fuggd up, hoping no damage is done. If anyone knows and or can help me out with these couple questions.. Just got my .22 cal Wildcat MK3 last weekend, so don't particularly want to mess around taking certain things apart yet unless I've absolutely got to. Although plan on tuning it a little later, an after I pick up a chrono.. Anyways I knew you're *NOT suppose to* adjust the hammer tension when the guns cocked, but didn't know the damn thing was cocked. So when I tried to turn it, obviously it was way stiff and hard to turn. But instead of checking if it were cocked, I was freakin out thinking somethings wrong with the knob. So I forced it one way, then back the other. Then fricken continued... You could hear it like drop or open up more freely, when I then turned it to the (8th) adjustable position. An then from there turned it AGAIN, to the level 7. The tightest and worst position to force it into. Yes this was not good. The knob is still working fine after. Gun cocks, fires, an seems to be changing pressure and functioning as it should when adjusting the knob. My question is, I'm pretty sure the knob is metal.. Does anyone know if the "leveler steps" on the inside of the knob, are metal as well ? An seeing as it still functions fine ( operationally ), my only REAL concern is if I may have possibly *grinded down* ANY of the steps.. ( especially the level 7 being the highest step ). Cause I could feel when there was more resistance, an I pretty much forced it to turn into position. The only way for me to really know, would be to check with a chronograph. An see if it's still pushing the right tension and power. Or to take the knob off, an see if there's any grinded damage.. Looks easy enough, really don't want to lose the mini bearing though. You think turning it about 4 times, smh. Would be enough to damage and grind that piece down..?
Take the knob of friend:) screw it loose, remove it slowly, the bearing will stay in the grease but keep your hand under it just in case. Just don’t cock the gun when it’s disassembled and you’ll be fine I promise:) congrats on the mk3 brother, I got one last week and I accidentally shot it with the cocking arm open and it closed on its own, it’s a learning process, don’t beat yourself up:) have fun exploring👊🏻
Another question I've got if anyone knows, out of curiosity and for future sake. Aside from saying not to adjust the hammer tension while the gun is cocked, which unfortunately my dumb ass already did, an hopefully didn't cause any very small but significant "internal damage" to the adjuster knob or screw, plume, etc. But it also says *NOT to adjust the regulator clockwise," while the gun is under ANY pressure.* So if "counter clockwise" is "increasing" the regulator pressure, as he did in this video. Clockwise would be "decreasing the pressure." So when it says not to decrease the pressure, while the gun is "under any pressure." _*Does this mean the BAR pressure must be at zero,* in order to decrease the regulator pressure ? Cause I thought it also says not to really keep the gun "empty of any air." Or does this just mean "not to have the gun plugged into any source of air, like a compressor or scuba tank.."
To decrease the reg just turn it down a quarter turn at a time and dry fire it. Don’t adjust it down too much at a time:) you need the pressure in the tank to be able to read the reg pressure. What they mean I think is don’t adjust the reg with the gun cocked. Have fun!

hello, i just bought my second fx rifles from one of your dealers and this time it's a mk3 wildcat. I am very disappointed by the noise we hear inside the case and which is perhaps the sound of the hammer moving around inside. this noise disappears when the cocking lever is cocked. is this noise normal for a completely new weapon? I remember that this noise was also present on my old fx royale 400 that I had bought new, but this noise appeared much later and not from the start as on this wildcat mk3 compact. can we do something to suppress this noise? i have a facebook page dedicated to pcp airgun and i do a lot of advertising for different manufacturers and i also advertise your products. my page is called PCP AIRGUN FRANCE. thank you in advance.

But it also says *NOT to adjust the regulator clockwise," while the gun is under ANY pressure.*
So if "counter clockwise" is "increasing" the regulator pressure, as he did in this video. Clockwise would be "decreasing the pressure."
So when it says not to decrease the pressure, while the gun is "under any pressure." _*Does this mean the BAR pressure must be at zero,* in order to decrease the regulator pressure ?
Cause I thought it also says not to really keep the gun "empty of any air." Or does this just mean "not to have the gun plugged into any source of air, like a compressor or scuba tank.."
To decrease the reg just turn it down a quarter turn at a time and dry fire it. Don’t adjust it down too much at a time:) you need the pressure in the tank to be able to read the reg pressure. What they mean I think is don’t adjust the reg with the gun cocked. Have fun!
My dream toy.. fx airgun.
Nice gun ...

hello, i just bought my second fx rifles from one of your dealers and this time it's a mk3 wildcat.
It’s the free floating hammer. It’s totally normal. Every wildcat from the mk1 on does the same thing.

In india all fx are way to expensive do something 😁😁
FX is nowhere in the world a ‘cheap’ rifle.

Seems like there should be an easier way ,I would lose the little balls!
There’s only one ball:) and it stays in place fine with the grease:) no worries👊🏻
