Nice presentation. Thanks to TH-cam this is where I find good information on the Maverick. There are not many air gunners in my area to compare notes. Nice conversion kit.
Just an observation, but it appears that the slight difference in FPS is down to the short wait you were 'occasionally' making between shots, this enabled the plenums to fill at different speeds, hence the slight difference in FPS. Keep up the good work, my .25 Maverick is all the better for your inputs.

There is enough tension on the thimble that it does not move when you are shooting or the gun is being jostled around. I just got done shooting another video and no issues with movement. Stayed exactly where I dialed it.
Maybe I missed something, but when you change from lets say 20gr pellet to 23gr pellet, can't the adjustment be done with just the hammer spring instead of touching the pressure also? What is the benefit and disadvantages of each method? Obviously if you go from 20gr to 40gr you need more pressure, but shouldn't there be a range where you can get by just with hammerspring? I should receive my Maverick today and I am trying to understand the interactions between these two settings.
Good question. Before I purchased my Maverick, I thought I was going to set the 2nd reg. to 130 bar and be able to shoot from 20 grain to 34 grain. You can do it, but, your extreme spread and standard deviation will suffer (like 30 fps or more). For maximum efficiency and precision, the reg. pressure will be your main speed control, hybrid adjuster for fine tuning only. From what I have found, rifles with a larger plenum, you must use the reg as the speed controller if you want the single digit ES and a 2 or below SD. If you watch some of the Avenger video's, the HS is the main speed controller because that rifle has a 12cc plenum. I just left the pressure at 172 bar and used the HS for speed control. I may do a video on just this subject, so, thanks for asking!
i have a what if quesrtion ... i noticed at 1.10 that there was an image of the adjustment screw at each setting ... would it have be possible to drill an adjustment hole at the 7 setting an be able to fine adjust up and down at each location rather than going back to the adjust location to access the adjustment screw ??
So, yes and no. I see what you are saying but here are the two problems. 1) You would not be able to achieve the full 6.5mm's of range. Because you would have to take into account the thickness of the head of the screw you could never dial to "0" compression on the HS. Additionally, not sure if if the adjustment screw is aprox. 8mm long, which you would need for the full 6.5mm of total adjustment. 2) Second problem is, there is no way to mark where you are in the range with the adjustment screw. The micrometer head gives you the 650 individual, repeatable markings. So if you go from 25's to 34's you can easily get back to the ball park tune of each of those weights. Hope that answers your questions and thanks for commenting!
@@ShootingWithPhil2023 thanks for the responce .... your quick tune system makes me want to buy the maverick ... and get rid of a few of my other fx air rifles .... never been a fan of the macro/micro tuning on the fx impact ... in my opinion you have created the best (for the money) accessory for an fx air rifle ...

Phil, can I run a stock set up and use your quick tune kit, I’m trying to tune a .30 cal maverick sniper. I can’t get it to work I think something is wrong with it. I had hoped maybe there was a tune on your data sheets that I could set the gun to, to rule out something broken.
So when will you have these again? Would you sell these with just the back piece and not the regulator piece? Would never want that on my Mav just to make sure no one ever messed with the pressure....
@@ShootingWithPhil2023 When installing the micrometer unit, should there be a gap between the micrometer adjuster and the hammer spring adjuster? I assume Yes as this would roughly be the max room for adjustment?!?! Also, my gun was previously tuned by FX USA. Micro adjust is fully clockwise. How would I "preset" the quicktune system to basically match that tune? I'm hoping your kit helps me learn to tune the rifle better. I've not had much luck in the past :(
@@scottg0814 I think you are referring to the spring cup and yes there will be a gap between the micrometer shaft and the spring cup. The Maverick has a free floating hammer that you can hear moving if you shake the rifle front to back. You should hear the hammer, hammer weight, spring, and spring cup move back and forth when not cocked. Yes, you can easily get back to the tune you have now. What caliber, barrel length, and what weight projectile are you shooting? What FPS are you looking for? Do you have a chronograph? I should be able to give you an approximate, pressure and setting for the hybrid adjuster if you have a .22 (500mm) or .25 (600mm) caliber.

The knob is not made to be removed. The knob has been threaded into the adjustment screw and glued with Red Loctite.@@spamento

Si quieres una recarga rápida en el Plenum, 60 bar. Si desea la dispersión extrema más pequeña en velocidad, 20 bar.
