Total rookie here, but thank you for these detailed, thorough videos. I watched your Evo top end rebuild video to learn how to do mine, and this is my next step. Great video, thank you 🤙
@@lynntankersley4837 the Red Kote is not thick enough to clog up the line. It will only coat it. Once you drain the Red Kote out you can remove the tape over the tubes. Once the Red Kote had dried you can blow on the tubes to make sure there is no obstructions. Once it’s cured you can run a coathanger through it as well. Do not blow compressed air through the tubes until the Red Kote has fully cured or it could cause the Red Kote to bubble up off the tank and defeat its purpose.
Interesting video but how did your customer know that the tank was corroding inside if petrol was not leaking? Ps. Still waiting for part 2 of the transmission strip down when you have time. Part 1 th-cam.com/video/6tERwHS3TeU/w-d-xo.html
I had no idea that this method was employed to save petrol tanks. As I said before 'Every days a schools day' and thank you again for sharing your knowledge @@butlercustoms

Thanks

Great question. His carburetor kept clogging up and he looked down in the tank and saw rust. He just didn’t know that it was that bad.
