Excellent comparison video. This is how its done. Thank you for the close-ups. I love the beavertails on the Shadow Systems guns. Much more comfortable.
I've always liked those Straight 8 sights, too. But the Shadow Systems' backstraps helped me find a better fit for my likings vs. Glock's offerings. Both are outstanding options for striker fire consumers. You can't go wrong with either one. 👍👍
i own both and love them. had i tried the shadow systems first i would have saved a lot of money spent on getting my glock the way i wanted it. my only complaint with SS is that i am a high volume shooter and like to strip my pistols all the way down for periodic cleaning. in order to clean the extractor and it's channel you have to remove the red dot. that being said it is an amazing pistol right from the box. always like your content brother !!
The back straps need to be explained that the Shadow Systems actually are not for size but for grip angle. The factory shipped Shadow System installed back strap is like the Smith & Wesson grip angle (my preference) with a back a strap for Glock grip angle and a third for a 1911 angle.
Shadow Systems definitely improved and surpassed to Glock 45 in design, comfort, and maneuverability. I just got it and the price was exactly what you mentioned on your video. I went to a range and I felt in love of it. The only concern is about the “safety” mode switch, even when I know it’s within the trigger, I would rather to have it separated like the Smith And Wesson but, putting them both on the scale, still the SS is my favorite now. Added to this, is “MADE IN USA”… 💯
I considered a Shadow Systems but didn’t like the Magpul mags. They did a video saying why they went with magpul instead of Glock but I don’t remember the reasoning. Also saw several videos of people having issues with theirs so I decided to stick with what I know and went with a Langdon Tactical G45 and never looked back.
@@MDpoloStraight from the horse’s mouth: ease of disassembly for cleaning and a better baseplate for stripping mags in the case of a malfunction. Still think they should have gone Glock OEM. th-cam.com/video/84jGfgKnohg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D1gtiqX4i0yiCUuv
Seems like all the slide work has made the SS lighter and the straight recoil basically a NDZ does make mine snappy as well - so I put the recoil system of the Glock - the same as yours but black - I literally cannot tell the difference besides the frame
You should compare the Shadow Systems MR920 to the Bul Axe Cleaver or Hatchet. I went to a shop for a Shadow Systems and left with a Cleaver (I don't need a red dot). The Bul is shockingly better.
Yes, I know, but I’ve always been reluctant to buy firearms without holding them first. Maybe I’ll make an exception. Or perhaps a subscriber can lend me one for a review. We’ll see.
I really wish they named the glock 45 something different, because I see a lot of people get confused with it being a 45 ACP lol. Should’ve continued with the 19x name or something else
That doesnt look the the xr920 elite the elite model have slide cuts this is xr920 combat.i have a mr920 and prefer it over the g19 especially for mounting optic, where glock mos you have to screw on a plate then the optic with only a few threads engaged the shadows system has a direct to slide optic that uses spacers in front or behind the optic to take up space and has proprietary plunger thats shorter then glock so the shadow systems screws go down the entire width of the slide and make the optic absolutely solid
The Shadow Systems is a mix of Gen 3 and Gen 4 design. It uses a Gen 3 style RSA, but with the "adapter" to run in a Gen 4 style slide. All of the locking systems on the SS pistols are based on a G19 style lockup, just like the Gen 5 Glocks and it uses a Gen 4 style reversible mad release. I love my MR and DR pistols from them. They feel better than Glocks do in my hand, but they shoot very much like a Gen4 does.
Glock has become so lazy in their updates to their design, its amazing that people still buy their pistols. They been just coasting on their name recognition for decades, without doing simple upgrades to their pistols.
Because they don’t need it… Glocks are true and proof combat’s guns over decade. And Duty guys don’t care about gucci gun, they just want it strong and reliable. It’s a different state of mind compares to civilian shooters. I’m both and sometimes in conflict with myself about that 😂
I've watched many reviews on the two firearms, but it's always refreshing to hear your perspective on them. Thanks for sharing and I hope you're well!
Thank you sir, I really appreciate that.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them and that you took the time to stop by.

The shadow looked snappier. I’d take the g45. Shadow systems are nice, but I’m not really into all the frills
The tungsten guide rod makes a huge difference. Thank you for stopping by.
Fantastic video MD Polo 👍
Thank you very much. I really appreciate that.
I know there's really not much difference, but I prefer my Glock 45. Need to get a Tungsten guide rod. Shadow Systems is a decent firearm, though.
The tungsten guide rod in the G 45 makes a world of difference. As always, my friend thank you for stopping by.
I have an upgraded G45 with the Gunsite model and it’s a sweet shooter
Would you be able to do a comparison between a 45 with a ramjet vs the XR920P? Would like like to know which comp is better
I’ve been thinking about it. Would be an expensive video to put together since I buy 90% of what I film myself.
Great comparison

Thank you very much for your comment and for stopping by.
Not bad for first time shooting
The shadow systems are nice but man they have alot of QC problems
Glock 45 is the only Glock ive ever liked.
Does the eps direct mount to the shadow systems or will I need a plate?

My understanding is that Glock would not sell them the mags in the quantities that Shadow a Systems needed. I don’t know this to be a fact.

Just use glock mags. I dont use the SS mags
You can use Glock mags with the shadow systems by the way
Shadow Systems wins hands down. More value, better shooter, looks better, and it can do everything a Glock can do but better.
Did you try shooting the ss with the tungston spring.? Just curious
I did not. The shadow systems is based on a GEN 3 platform and the tungsten guide rod that I have is for a GEN 5.

Yeah, I want the Cleaver or the Hatchet, but I have yet to see one locally. Thank you very much for watching.
@@MDpolo you can buy directly from the importer in Florida and ship to your FFL. You'll love it.

Blood pressure, man. Were getting old
I’m not old. I just look like crap for 25! 😁

😂 exactly so.

Hands shaking. Did you get the $h@t? Hopefully Not!
Nope.
