great site and ive appreciated all of the info youve posted thus far. i have a 2003 that i just got the 4r70w out of this weekend. if you dont mind, i have two questions i cant find the answers for:
    1. when i remove the auto trans cooler lines, how do i plug them at the radiator end?
    2. for the parts of the auto wiring harness that arent used with my new t45, do i just ziptie them out of the way or cap them off somehow or what?
thanks and keep up the great content!

    • @neverendingcarproject
      @neverendingcarproject  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

diet sausage trans cooler will eventually leak out.. I never plugged mine, I just let it leak out and hit it with a tiny tiny bit of compressed air to get the fluid out.
And yes, I zip tied my wires out of the way. You can also cut them off and cap the ends. So it clean. I’ll probably do that with my new one next week.

The Pittman arm is always more expensive and better then a rack. Racks are cheaper.
Today in these times only super expensive cars will have a control arm and double clutch gear box.
That is high performance and high end equipment. Much better handling. You can also go faster in the old one.
More metal and less plastic. Always better.
You should switch the interiors out and have the new interior. Or you could mix panels on the outside. I will be making a 5 speed, with convertible and trunk racks.

How much would it cost for a shop to purchase parts and implement a 2001-2004 Mustang 5 speed manual transmission, retune computer, modify driveshaft (if needed) and add a clutch into my 2011 CVPI? I currently have my O/D gear going out and my torque converter also needs to be replaced. Cost is about $2,200 total to rebuild. Would you recommend I rebuild or swap? Thanks!

Question! Flywheel bolts?! Something that's never talked about in any 5spd swap videos. Manuals have a longer bolt as the flywheel is thicker than the original CVPI flex plate. And that's where I'm hung up on my project. Did you just use the original shorter bolts that come with that automatic? Or did you hunt down the Mustang manual flywheel bolts? I almost wanted to try and use my original ones, but I just can't get comfortable with them as there's only 5-6 threads to work with.

    • @neverendingcarproject

    • @neverendingcarproject

I just got my swap done and for some reason the electric fan is kicking
on as soon as the engine is started. I mean even when its cold and
hasn't ran for hours. And of course all I done was a swap. Never done
anything under the hood except disconnect the battery ... that's it. Is
