  • Have you ever wondered what would happen if you sublimate onto wood? Have you wondered if you CAN sublimate on wood? I try out a few different methods of sublimating onto wood with and without the use of other tools!
We look at sublimating with laminate sheets, we also use Mod Podge, and use a stencil with mod podge too!
What is your favourite wood sublimation method?

Keep the heart and maybe make a circle border just around the edges . It will look as it has a border around it

Found this video today and decided to try 2 different projects using your modge podge way and the second using a sublimation spray. The modge podge with one coat was definitely the best. Thanks so much for the video. So much cheaper than the sublimation spray

Maybe you could try to varnish the mod podge ones!

Hi, do we use any laminating pouches available in SA cause ours don’t say thermal? And what temp would I use to get the laminate on the wood? I’ve only got a mini press and an elna press 😜

I used normal laminating sheets, I use the same temp as I do for HTV, but your results may vary, so I would suggest testing a few different ones

This is awesome! How long do you press on the mod podge pieces?

Should the paper be laser print or regular print would be ok?

Many say you can use normal copy paper to print on with your sublimation ink, I honestly wouldnt, as the quality of the press isnt as good (for home use its probably fine), but sublimation paper isnt THAT expensive and should be worked into your costing anyway. If you are in a bind it should be ok for a one off - but personally I wouldnt make things to sell with regular paper
