Some of the sweetest pictures we have from our last Disney vacation are of my daughters helping with water art while we waited for a bus to come. My girls still talk about that cast member over a year later 🥰
How about a video of the "Best Tips and Tricks That No Longer Work (But We Wish They Did)". lol That would be a fun way to remember the old days. Like when they used to have the Disney Magical Express for free, free magic bands with your resort reservation, or fast pass that you could schedule for free weeks before your trip. Definitely gonna miss those.
100% agree on taking old people!! We always try to have very chill Disney holiday and stay off property anyway so took my grandparents a few years ago. My papa vowed to never visit America (we're Scottish) but came to see what the fuss was. Both my grandparents absolutely adored Disney and florida as a whole, so much so, they are coming with us again in January. Its so special having them there and we have the most beautiful memories and pictures from Disney. Definitely do it!!!
Enjoy! I did the same for our first trip last year. Binge watched DFB and it helped so much. Now we are taking our kids back this summer for a week for round 2!
Thank you for including info about accessibility in this video. As someone who's disabled I wasn't sure I could make my wish come true of a trip to Disney World. Now I know I can! And I know where I can great advice. 🙂
We split up from our kids who are older now, so they can go back to the hotel after lunch on certain days.We stay at the parks and we meet up for dinner later.Watching the fire works over the Winnie the Pooh ride is fun too.
My favorite thing to do is shop on Main Street as we work our way to the exit after the fireworks - I think one side has stores that are connected all the way down the street so you can avoid the crowds outside.
My fiancé and parents are coming to DisneyWorld with me for the first time ever and I have been nominated as ‘family travel planner’😅 your videos have SAVED ME and they are getting the family so excited for our trip!🫶🏼 Not sure they know what they’re getting themselves into!🤣
My tip is don't go when it's hot. It diminishes so much about your trip. We went last year in January, and this year in May. It was mid 70s in january, 95+ every single day this past week for our may trip. We found ourselves running out of energy by 5pm each day, where in january we stayed at the parks so late. That heat just destroys you. We found it also made our kids more irritable, and that we couldn't slow down and enjoy anything. In January, we took our time in world showcase, star wars land, etc. But when its a 109 real feel, you simply can't do that. You're too miserable to take it all in. With that said, we had a great trip, but i wont be going in a hot time again.
We hate going from May to Oct. It's miserable. BUT because of family members availability we are going in August 😢. We have been many times, so we will take it easy and enjoy being together. But for first time visitors, if anyway possible try to go from mid Oct to end of April.
It's funny you mentioned the giraffes in Kilimanjaro Safaris because the last time I was on it we go held up by a giraffe that walked up to the vehicle and brought its head close enough that those on the right side could have pet it. No one did because we all understood it's a wild animal. But it was really cool.
Hi AJ been to DW several times over the past few years but still love watching Your videos for every new tip possible. DFB has really helped make the trips so much better !!!
We went to Disney World for the first time last October and it was for my daughters make a wish. She in in a wheelchair and for most of the rides she had to transfer into the ride and they took her wheelchair to the exit. She is able to transfer herself but they did ask if they needed to stop the carousel to let her get in safely.
Bonus Tip: If you have Genie+ and see a ride is down but has a time slot coming up soon, grab it. If the ride doesn’t open in time you’ll get a free experience which is basically a bonus Lightning Lane you can use at any time for a handful of rides. Once you get that alert just book your next ride like normal.
Another tip for those that don't use apple devices. There's a Samsung galexy smart tag which is the equivalent of the apple airtag and there are also many other off brands if you don't have a Samsung or apple.
Ok DFB Team, with an HOUR-long video, it’s time to start adding chapters. Please for the love of MICKEY MOUSE. I’m not gonna watch this without them, and I know I’m not alone.
Our best tip is that you have to make your own decisions instead of relying on the general consensus. Everyone loves Sanaa but we hated it. Everyone hates mama melrose but it was one of our best meals. BOG is constantly trashed by all the experts and it was our absolute favorite dining experience. We had countless times on our trip where we went against the crowd and it worked.
AJ, how many times can you join a virtual cue? We have extended hours at epcot next month. If we've already used a virtual cue for Gardians earlier in the day, can we still go for another one at 6pm?
I enjoyed watching this amazing video! I will like to have a job at Disney World!!!! May I have tips of how can I moved to Orlando Florida and apply for Disney World.
The very first two things that AJ mentioned are at the top of the list for why we'll never be goung back to Disney World, I don't go on vacation to be staring at my phone constantly, I go to have fun and relax.
Does the celebration pins work in all parks? Or just the Magic Kingdom? We are planning our first trip to the Hollywood Studios for my wife's Birthday this year.
You mentioned the Disney experience ap a lot in the video, I do not have a phone that takes aps. It's almost sounds like you can't get anything done with out it. Should we bother going?
Think of the My Disney Experience App like a Swiss Army Knife. You don’t necessarily NEED-need it, but - boy - is it a handy tool that can do a LOT of things for you! The biggest thing that you’ll absolutely need the MDE app for is getting in the virtual queues for the new rides (ie: TRON and Cosmic Rewind). Otherwise, you don’t HAVE to have the app if you’re not able to download it. You can stand in line at the fast food locations, wait in the standby queues for the rides, have all your reservation info printed and saved in a safe location, and use physical park tickets instead, etc.
Those Minnie vans are great. We used them exclusively on our last trip over Labor Day weekend and they saved us a ton of time. Although it was expensive, we plan to do the same thing when we go this June
Id love a video like about every inche of every hotel, like every possible thing too do there. And maybe do it for each park too. Though it would be quite hard
When are they going to start bringing in-park purchases to the resorts again? I'm very much afraid it will come with a cost now, if they ever bring it back.
I also just found out you can purchase tickets for Disney after hours this was a deciding factors for deluxe or moderate :) we went with port Orleans riverside
can anybody confirm if you do need to or do do not need to pay for parking at Coronado Springs hotel because when I called it says that it’s $30 to park but AJ just said it’s free. Can someone please confirm this
if your watching the fireworks and don't want to be near all the people but still hear the soundtrack and see a little bit of the projections on the castle go to where the bridge is in Disney world where the liberty belle boat is and you can watch the fireworks and see the projections a little bit and here the soundtrack perfectly but not be where all the people on Main Street are at Disney world my family watched it from here on our first ever trip and it was really amazing and very memorable
I have a question. I understand the 120 minute rule for booking lightening lanes. What if your first lightening lane fall BEFORE the 120 minutes? Do you get to book the next one as soon as the first one is done? Or do you have to wait 120 minutes?
You can book one IMMEDIATELY after! The 120 minute rule is in place so that people can still use the Genie+ service all day long even if their first Lightning Lane return time isn’t until, like, REALLY late in the afternoon/evening. Otherwise, if your return times are a lot sooner than 120 minutes, you can book Lightning Lanes as soon as you’ve used your last one selected! EXAMPLE: If you book a LL for Pirates of the Caribbean for 9:30AM, after you scan it, you can make one immediately after for, say, Haunted Mansion. And if the Haunted Mansion return time is for 11AM, once you scan that, you can book ANOTHER Lightning Lane after that! Technically, you can knock out a LOT of Lightning Lanes in a short amount of time by booking the ones that have the SOONEST return times. But if you can’t find any return times that are SUPER soon, that’s when the 120 minute rule comes into play!
Ok, the biggest tip we've discovered is if you drive a car or a rental to the parks, make sure you have water bottles in a cooler in the car and then go out to the car for a good hour nap in the middle of the day. Make sure to have a sunshade on your front windows, pump up the air conditioner, recline and within 5 mins everyone is snoring up a storm. Dont forget to set an alarm, too much sleep will make everyone groggy, you want to limit it to 1 hour at most. Once up, everyone gets a cold water and start heading back to the parks. Now if in MK just sleep in the hall of presidents, its the longest show. In Epcot the show in the American pavilion is also a good alternative.
Is the loose ice thing new? Last year (June 2023) I filled my cooler bag up with hotel ice and some towels and had some ice water towels to cool off. The cast member didn't say anything.
I’ve been watching your videos for months now and I really appreciate all the info and tips you’ve given us! Could you make a video about how to navigate the parks and restaurants when you have a gluten (or any other ingredient, for that matter) sensitivity or allergy? I just got an AP and I’ve found it very difficult to enjoy many of the snacks. It just sucks to have a Disney day ruined by a reaction. I'm taking my grandparents with me on my next trip to Disney World. They're in their 80's. My grandmother's 82. So what are some good rides that I can take them on? Rollercoasters are out because my granny has frail bones.
My mom is 88, in Epcot she loves Soarin', Ratatouille, Listen to the Land, Finding Nemo, the boat ride in the Mexico pavilion, and journey into imagination. In MK, jungle cruise, haunted mansion, liberty riverboat, country bears, Mickey's philharmagic, small world, Pooh, peter pans flight, voyage of the lil mermaid, carousel of progress, laugh floor. In AK safari, Navi river journey, all the shows. In the studios, mickey and Minnie's runaway train, muppets, and all the shows.
I swear by AirTags. My last trip I had my stroller go missing because of someone who was stealing in the park. I noticed quickly and was able to track my stroller and scared off the thief. We let cast members know, so they could look at the cameras.
Because of our large family we never stay on site, we just couldn't afford 3 rooms even in the cheapest Disney hotels. We always rent a home, where we have numerous bedrooms, bathrooms and private pool.
Hi! While adults aren’t gonna be able to order kids meals at table service restaurants, the quick services/fast food joints inside the park aren’t strict on who’s getting a kids meal vs who’s getting an adults meal. Think of it like ordering a Happy Meal from Mickey Dee’s - the McD’s employee isn’t gonna question the age of the person ordering the Happy Meal, so ANYONE can get one who wants one!
Blister packs fro m the pharmacy. Even with a fresh, huge, angry looking blister, those stick on blister plaster/things will get you through your entire Disney adventure. They are ridiculously effective, get some and stash a couple in your fanny pack, you won't regret it.
Just can't get as excited about WDW as I used to. Management seem to be determined to diminish all enjoyment and charge through the roof for everything. It used to be possible to afford a visit every few years. Now, not so much.
Hi AJ tried to use resort monorail to get back to TTC and cast member informed our group that line is for the Resort Guests staying at those 3 Deluxe resorts only. Guess it’s a perk for paying that high end price. Suppose that’s why it’s labeled Resort monorail. My wife ultimate rule follower she was so embarrassed on walk of shame going to other side
That’s so weird - when we were there, Cast Members were encouraging people to use the Resort Monorail even if they were headed to the parking lot! Maybe it depends on the day/event 🤷♀️
what? So I could pay over 300$ for a night say for the mickey not so scary and not get a parade, fireworks rides or shows there is a chance I wouldn't get any compensation?
@@vintageoriginallegit, that's what I'm saying, why I always laughed at that. And it's funny too because the front at many places even has it's own separate queue because so many people covet the front, but the back is where it's at.
You might want to be at the front because it's gentler. I love rollercoasters, but I also have a joint condition that causes chronic pain and mobility issues. Riding at the front of a coaster means that I have longer before I am stuck in a position where existing is agony. Being at the front, whilst slower, makes a day at a theme park more enjoyable for longer
@@pinkpolarbear24, for sure, and there are people that simply can't handle the intensity of many of today's coasters. That's not what I'm referring to. I'm speaking to a large portion of park goers that, for decades, have celebrated the front car as being better, faster and more intense. And like I mentioned in my previous comment, it does offer that unique view/perspective, but more intense it is not, faster it is not, better is a subjective opinion.
You're slower at the top but you're faster at the bottom. Depends on what you like, being pulled up out of your seat or pressed down into the seat. The smoother ride is in the middle.

Thank you for sharing, Arthur! I have never had this experience, but our team will check it out!
We have never been asked for any proof of hotel when we got on the resort monorail. Sounds like a cast member was going rouge there.
Should have just told them your going to a resort bar.

Genie + is a BIG RIP OFF . Disney makes so much money on everythink . They need to go back to the old way the FAST PASS
Growing up I would always laugh at people wanting the front of a roller coaster. Sure you have an unique view but you go much slower than in the back.
Why would you wanna go slower on a coaster?
My tip is save your money and time and do something else.
