As one of England's greatest fast bowlers Fred Trueman used to say about bowling at the tail, keep it full and straight because before long they're going to miss and you're going to hit.

Stats were from Sky commentary (though it was about 0300 in Sydney so I may have misunderstood what they said)

Issues with the Dukes balls - errrm dry, modern, well-drained pitches and batsmen tonking it into the stands more often...... it's no wonder why balls go out of shape more frequently, especially if the way Dukes balls are made hasn't changed to match modern cricket. I suspect Kookaburra balls are made with hard Aussie pitches in mind and therefore stay harder longer?

how many games will have been drawn because batters have batted slowly chasing a personal score, rather than getting on with it and allowing time to bowl the opposition out?
I think the ruthlessness argument is based on the premise that a draw is an acceptable result, which this england team have quite clearly decided it isn't.

Think England will get 400 runs + lead. Final session England will get a couple of wickets and bowl windies out and win on last day.

The funny thing is the whole baz ball thing was made up by the journalist stokes and Brendan have never said that’s the style there playing aka baz ball all the both of them have said is they want to play positive cricket I think bazball is a stick to bash them when they don’t win a test match 😊

I don't see why the pack needs a leader.

You need skills like Bumrah to close out the tail
