Accept the truth: English crowd is the one who’s keeping test cricket alive 🙌🏻
no doubt
Absolutely, and our wonderful cricket mad Asian communities are a big part of that ❤️

Yes, they are very patient .
Almost all things nowadays are somewhat true and people just say it as if they are right. But what you said is absolutely true . A 100 percent.
Summer in England and test matches are a match made in heaven
Summer in England is something else, Wimbledon and test matches . Everyone must visit England in summer at least once and enjoy .
Again everyone on the comment list ate no f**king wrong
Flintoff was such a treat to watch.Absolute legend

The best bowler England has had in the last 30 years. From 2003 to 2006 he produced spells that a) got wickets b) terrified batsman to give away their wicket to someone else.

Flintoff's over and the entire crowd reacting to him was goosebumps
absolutely
Flintoff engaged full viking beserker mode against Ponting and Kallis. Those two overs still give me goosebumps.
Ashes 2005 is genuinely one of the most thrilling cricket events of all time. It was the first Ashes I followed closely and the atmosphere in the stadiums back then could easily rival the PL's.
that series saved english test cricket for another decade. Just as I thought it was dying again, 2019 Ashes again has saved english test cricket - i’ve never seen it more popular
Likewise, I remember only a few spine-tingling atmospheres throughout an entire test series ever.
@@JJJJ-fi9dg yup
Yep.....sure was ...England somehow managed to beat the greatest cricket team ever put together
2023 ashes will be history rewritten moments
God bless Ritchie. Never be forgotten as long as test cricket is broadcast. What a man.
He always seemed delighted if a team or individual did well, even against Australia!
A true broadcasting legend, loved by everyone
Jones............ Bowden...
Two words, told the whole story
Flintoff had Ponting tied up in knots. Wonderful bowling.
@SenseOfReality Utterly ridiculous notion. Always play to win, never flinch.
Setup of Kallis was better
Freddie chucking bullets at 900mph would have me in more than knots. Ferocious speed and accuracy when he was mad

@SenseOfReality So much better that he lost the Ashes as captain in 2009 and at home in 2010-11. Yes, that's really much better.
That early 2010-11's england team was something else (another level) ... I miss that team ❤️
AUS,IND,SL,SA,Pak 2011 WC team bhi 😍
Waste team
Me too mate...me too
After alstiar Cook Retirement England test batting just collapse only one man army Joe root carried England batting
Andrew Flintoff is ben stokes of 2000S
I was there at Edgbaston in 2005. One of the most amazing moments of my life. Hugging complete strangers with tears streaming down my face. 🏏🏏🍺🍺
Flintoff setting up Kallis and picking his wicket is one of the most excellent demonstrations of fast bowling. Undoubtedly one of the best overs bowled in Cricket.
Better than the Ponting over in my opinion.
So good that he got him out twice!!
Seen VERY few people do that to Kallis
And one of the worst LBW decisions of all time 😂😂😂
If you actually know the story there was a window reflecting light into Kallis's eyes. He was fuming during that whole over, you can see from his body language that he was not seeing the ball coming at him. And the umpire just did nothing about it
Worth watching this to hear Ritchie again. RIP Ritchie, you are missed by so many
Yeah, he was pure class. He transcended petty tribalism (rare for an Aussie in sports) and also knew that when it came to commentary the 'less is more' mantra applied. Miss him so much. Commentators today are so annoying and vapid by comparison.
That Harmison slower ball has to be one of the greatest slower balls ever seen in test cricket.
If you can think of 3 more great slower balls in test cricket what would they be?
@@mezykin Lee2005 , Bumra2021
For the situation it's probably the best but even Harmy will tell you it wasn't a great ball 😅
@@mezykin The greatest - 1993 B&H Series, Ambrose to Healy
I remember Walsh slower ball to Thorpe
10:44 England captain knocking off England coach 😂😂
flintoff's overs to ponting and kalis are gems for fast bowling, even absolute greats of the game does not even have clue about single ball, what a player andrew flintoff was
Actually Kallis was struggling to pick his fuller length deliveries because of the sidescreen issues. That’s why he missed the plumb LB delivery by a mile.
Fact: English crowd is the most passionate and eager for prime format of the game. Keeping Test cricket alive
I always tear up watching sir alistair cooks final hundred in his last innings.. What an incredible career he had
Ben stokes actually had the best roar of the crowd
Hii
Flintoff in 2005 Ashes was best
The summer of stokes
Flintoff>> Stokes

It's a shame Simon Jones was plagued with injuries, he was an excellent bowler
With the old ball aswell, invaluable
@@GIBBO4182 absolutely
Was about to say the same thing. Amazing bowler but so unfortunately broken
Honestly, he would have gone to be even bigger
The bowling attack of Harmison, Hoggard, Jones, Flintoff, and Giles was a treat.
All the Tests, ODIs, T20's, World Cups, India and Pakistan matches are great... But nothing comparable with Ashes 2005... Just unbelievable... England Cricket Team taken the cricket to another level... Just Fantastic...
Lots of these wickets are with an old ball that starts to reverse. It’s such an exciting passage of play when that happens.
Simon Jones could have been one of the all time greats with his reverse swing - injury robbed us of his prime.
Was my favourite bowler in that team, incredibly talented, loved watching him. Real shame he didnt have a full career.
Simon Jones is the Daniel Sturridge of English bowlers
Yep as an Aussie but a cricketing purist, I'm quite sad we didn't get to see more of him. He seemed like such a good talent.
@@mezykin better than that, Dean Ashton
Magnificent bowler, robbed of his best years
No player before and after can reach the mighty majestic class of Andrew Flintoff in the English squad ever. He is the spice we add to our dish that gives it life.
Just a dream in life to watch England test match in England 😊❤
Love From India
Accept it or not bowlers create magic and the interest in the game !!! What beautiful spells !
When it comes to test cricket English crowd is the best. In the England tour of Sri Lanka in 2018 , English tourists who visited here filled up the stadiums. They came to watch all three test matches. In 2020, There was this one guy who visited here to watch his team playing but he wasn't allowed to come to the stadium because of COVID - 19 stuff. So he watched the two test matches from the Gall fort.
England side in 2010-12 was something else. They beat India in India and australia in australia. Very few teams can do that.

A gentleman like delivery. Simply needed a gentle nudge onto the stumps.
He was instrumental in England winning the world Cup
@@viditsinha9707 absolutely. I remember at the world cup he got wickets at really important times
Richie Benuad. “Jones… Bowden!” Despite being one of the greatest Aussie players of all time, has no difficulty in delighting in seismic moments in a match - an expert. Greatly missed.

BGT 🤣
Only Ashes
Thank you so much that was a great tonic, love my Cricket, love England. Today’s not been a good one, but watching this 🏴🙏🏻
I think when it comes to test cricket nothing can beat The Ashes especially that England crowd
Simon Jones he was sensational during that epic series 😍, nothing i repeat nothing can beat Test Cricket it's THE Greatest format of cricket
He could certainly bowl reverse swing. Funny how reverse swing has died off so much. This has happened since sandpaper gate. Ever since cricket Australia punished they’re offenders so severely and now others would have to follow. Shows how far ball tampering had gone.
There’s no sound better in the world as a cricket ball hitting the stumps.
Especially if there Australian 😂
I beg to differ......the best sound in test cricket......Ricky ponting whining about being run out by a substitute fielder........😂😂😂
some of Flintoff's over's are right up there with the best ever bowled.
Richie Benaud was the voice of cricket .Completely impartial and so knowledgeable. A man who had a stellar career as a player and unrivalled as a commentator.
Thought "spine-tingling" was a bit clickbaity...but turns out to be completely true. Fantastic memories.
18 minutes of pure magic 🥰🥰🥰
Edgbaston 2005 - the only test match I’ve been at in full
Phenomenal memories
10:43 captain to head coach
I've never heard a cricket crowd sound anything like they did in 2005. Every wicket greeted like a final minute winner at Anfield. Amazing.
Barmy army and English crowd is something else. They make Test match experience so good. Hope I get to experience Ashes test at The Lords one day... Would take the Ashes experience over wimbleden any day

Euphoria. There's no shame in the Aussies getting beaten by this team. They were a cricketing juggernaut. Unstoppable.
Ben Stokes 🥶🥶🔥🔥🔥
I saw the flintoff over live one air that was one of the best over by a fast bowler bowled in test cricket. Flintoff you Beauty 🌹🌹🌹
You posted this 13 days too early. Trent Bridge on Day 5 was amazing.
Simon Jones was so good, such a shame injury robbed him of his incredible talent.

simon jones was unbelievable in that series
That Stokes inning Godly
2005 was the best ashes series ever. What a summer that was.
Fantastic to watch,no finer sight in cricket than England winning ashes and test matches just awesome, and of course the crowd roars,2005,2009 and 2015 ashes series were fantastic watching
Every ball of ashes 2005 was spine tingling!
Kallis 45 centuries, Ponting 41 centuries and Flintoff made them look like debutants

2005 Ashes Series was incredible. Love the old English Spirit which came back for that Summer
I know that they can't upload clips of matches in Australia but man that Scott Boland spell also set the crowd on fire
Well done for using the C4 coverage of '05. The commentary (compared to Sky) does a significantly better job of conveying the drama and the brilliance of that series.

That Flintoff over at Edgbaston 2005 is iconic. In fact the 2nd Ashes Test at Edgbaston 2005 is still the greatest test ever played!
