    I know you can't cover everything, but there are neighborhoods intown that are not so well known and are more affordable yet sit right next to some of the most expensive. Woodland Hills sits right next to Morningside (across the railroad tracks), next to Druid Hills with Brookhaven to the north, and yet the prices are anywhere from low 400's to 1 million for new construction (basically a tear down rebuilt). It is also one of the few areas of unincorporated Dekalb County left. There is also Lavista Park (which is now part of Brookhaven in the last year or so), but has gotten way more pricey in the last couple of years . There is also Lindridge - Martin Manor which also is very close in sandwiched between Buckhead and Midtown. Just don't move here and then complain about Cheshire Bridge Rd. Some of us like the quirkiness that it brings to the table 😂😂

      Yep, definitely I didn't cover every intown neighborhood - it would have just taken too long to explain every intown neighborhood. But I have made separate videos on each of those areas you mentioned. In fact, I've even mentioned Lindridge Martin Manor & Lavista park in my "underrated atlanta neighborhood videos" :)

    Great job! I've spent my entire 63 years here, with the exception of my 4 years of college. You're absolutely spot on. I lived in Brookhaven, for almost a decade. I really enjoyed your coverage of Brookhaven.

      Oh wow, you are a true Atlantan! Brookhaven has changed so much in the past 13 years that I have lived in Atlanta. I'm glad to hear from a true local that I was pretty accurate. :) Thx for the comment!

      @@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta I also got a chuckle, at how you wordsmith your way around describing the different "questionable" neighborhoods, and how some of them are "evolving".

    Well done and informative. Excellent job in describing some of the more challenged areas. I especially liked the Castleberry portion and teliing folks to go check it out to see if you would be comfortable there. I wasnt. I really hope that what's going on in The Gulch and South Downtown truly lifts that whole area.

      I agree as well...it's been a long time coming for downtown to change - lots of plans that have fell wayside. But I think this time it may really happen! Thanks for watching and love hearing your input. :)

    Love the video. Awesome! I heard from a few people that i know from my hometown in South Carolina that used to live in Atlanta say that Sandy Springs, Roswell, Marietta, Smyrna, might as well just be considered Atlanta.

    Fairly comprehensive overview of Atlanta and surrounding communities and cities! Some areas south of I-20 are in transition and will see significant changes and improvements in the coming years.

    why are realtors tip-toeing about the bad neighborhoods? it only creates a situation where people from out of Atlanta will visit those areas thinking it is ok to do so and then become a potential victims of a crime. more honesty is needed and for that, I wouldnt use a realtor to buy my home if they arent honest

    • @AllAboutLivingInAtlanta
      @AllAboutLivingInAtlanta  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Real estate laws prevent us from steering anyone from choosing one neighborhood over another. I try to be as honest as I can in my vlog tours and show viewers the neighborhoods so they can form their own opinion of what they think. You can go online to look up stats about crime. I get asked a lot about living in a "safe" area and it's very arbitrary - while I might think an area is safe, someone else may not....and we live in a world where people like to litigate about anything unfortunately.

    Not sure whether to be hurt or grateful that you pretty much ignored the Embry Hills/Northlake area, the best kept secret ITP. 😏

    • @AllAboutLivingInAtlanta
      @AllAboutLivingInAtlanta  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! That area is a nice gem for sure. I recorded this video probably 4 times because I would realize I left out one area and didn’t mention another…then I just decided I’m just not going to hit every single neighborhood before my video would turn into a 60 min long video that nobody would have interest in watching. It’s def hard to cover everything!

      @@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta You did a great job! Even limiting yourself to ITP neighborhoods, you managed to cover things very well. You easily could have made four 39-minute videos out of all the possible content!

    Great info! Lots of neighborhoods I never knew about. You bypassed a number of places on the eastside, e.g., East Atlanta Village, Glenwood Park, Grant Park, Ormwood. But people can learn all about them from a number of your other videos. And thank you for making the effort to enunciate Atlanta. I don't know (and really don't care) how we got from at-LAN-ta to AT-lan-na. I just hope we can find our way back some day, lol.
