Playing 18 holes of golf is 10% golf 90% walking around and talking the notion that MJ wasn't friends with the guys he spent hours playing golf with is hilarious.
Facts imagine putting LeBron back then and he can hand check and so called play tougher (foul)…. Imagine putting all the superstars from this era and they can’t hurt people like back in the days, they’re way more bigger, stronger, more athletic and skilled than back then… they would absolutely destroy the league….. remember it’s way easier to adapt by just fouling and hurting people then to adapt and learn to do step back threes, half court threes, side steps, euros, one legged fadeaway, plus the level of ball handling and ball control that these guys have now…. People only think one sided when they make these arguments

Harder in Jordan's era: Hand-checking, fewer contact fouls on drives, hard fouls allowed to some extent, no load management, few/no tanking teams Harder in LeBron's era: Overall increased talent level in the NBA, faster pace, better conditioned opposition I think Jordan's era was slightly more physical but LeBron played against slightly better opposition, talent-wise (Thomas-Payton-Barkley-Malone vs Duncan-Nowitzki-Curry-Durant, it's close). In the end, it comes down to whether you value durability (4-6 in the finals) or clutch (6-0 in the finals); versatility (28 post season triple doubles and counting) or excellence (33.4 ppg in the playoffs, 9 all-defensive teams). I lean Jordan, but it is a personal preference.
How do you lean Jordan when you say his stat is 33 ppg when lebron does 28 plus 10 everywhere else... Thats maddening. I'm taking the other all day everyday. 28 plus 10x2 is 20. Lebron actually got 48 💀

The funny thing is it’s not hard to look up footage of jordan’s era. I dare anyone to go watch some games and you’d be surprised how barely different it looks from today’s games. Old heads have taken a couple instances of fights breaking out or teams roughhousing a player and have largely overblown it to make it seem like you had to get punched in the face to score a point.

I don't think it was about them hating jordan, but the competitive nature of the players were different. There's plenty of footage showing that Jordan was cool with other players and that he's had conversation with them, with friendly banter, but they also were more competitive back then. I credit the Malice at the Palace and a few other things on the NBA cracking down on stopping that physical play and making the league “softer” if thats how you see it.
They had no say so but LeBron definitely benefited from a much softer NBA. Of course I can't prove this but there's no way LeBron plays 18 straight years had he entered the league in the 80s. His bully ball style wouldn't have worked period

The game itself is softer for SURE. MJ’s eta was tougher for sure. The Pistons were given a license to hurt MJ. Regardless I’m impressed with LBJ’s longevity and his ability to still perform at a SUPERSTAR level at his age. Literally the best NBA players start to retire when their PPG drop to around 10 or lower. LBJ isn’t even close to that yet. Also with his skill set he can play as a PG at least until the age of 40. Let me just throw this out there. If LeBron is so dominant in comparison to everyone else around him, he's "dominating little bros". But if there was nobody else that measured up to Jordan in his era at all, wouldn't that mean he was dominating "little bros" too? And also, Mike was golfing with fellow players back then. No doubt it’s MJ. The reality is Jordan’s peak was higher, Lebron’s career has been longer, but he’s had the benefits of steroids his entire career to keep him healthy & also the rule changes to keep his body from too much damage & hand checking etc. LBJ’s game also has always had holes: FT shooting, turnovers & not the greatest jump shooter. Jordan’s game was flawless & had zero weakness!
Prime MJ versus Prime Lebron.... MJ destroys Lebron every time. MJ was a killler and a big game finishing closer. Lebron has never been and never will be a closer
People tend to forget that MJ had a little taste of the millennial time where he got obliterated every night on his wizards days.(I don't care if he was 38ish) Basketball players now has different skillset. They didn't had a PG who plays like Kemp back in the days or shoots better than Reggie Miller.

I think Jordan's era was slightly more physical but LeBron played against slightly better opposition, talent-wise (Thomas-Payton-Barkley-Malone vs Duncan-Nowitzki-Curry-Durant, it's close). No Paul Pierce has beef with LeBron. Dude is literally beefing by himself and he can't even hold a candle to Bron.
I never would’ve thought he could do this especially when he couldn’t shoot very well early in his career.
One thing is when I think of Jordan era I think of the 90s. And those piston teams didn't have the license to hurt anyone in 90s
Jordan made the rule changes in the 90’s then he started winning so this “soft era” is thanks to one of the GOATS, MJ himself.

@@felipepineda1585 this era is definitely better and MORE SKILLED AINT NO MAYBE gimme reasons on how it’s not?
@iwatchytvids5738 - a hand check nowadays is a foul. It wasn't then. Back then you had at least 16 teams that played almost full court defense. There is virtually no defense now. Back then, they would at times fistfight, now they yell insults. Back then, you played hurt. Nowadays you get rested because your veteran even though you are healthy. Back then, there were people battling in the paint. Nowadays their afraid to break a nail. Back then, this guy could dunk from the free throw line... I will wait. Back then, we have a jason williams. The nba is soft trash get over it
The league is very much so softer than back in the day. Bs flopping, the jumping into defender for fouls ( glad they changed that rule ) and all they do is shoot 3's. That's not much skill unless your Curry. Now don't get me wrong there's a damn good amount of great players in the league but it is waaay softer. Jordan didn't go out and recruit payers to come and play with him. He played with whomever was on his team and never quit. Lebrons great but he damn sure wouldn't be able to run over players back then like he does in todays game. I watch them part the seas for him. Wouldn't happen in the 80's/90's.
The league is full of three and D players with no fundamentals. Players today can't hit an open mid range shot and centers have no post moves.
