This is a problem few people have with their macbook, a very weird problem which might be hardware unfortunately. keys from r to o working sporadically. Mine is from UK late 2011
Hi Christian, happened to 2013 MBP to me today. How did you end up fixing this problem? I tried everything but they are dead. First intermittent for a couple of hours, then permanent.

Mine got worse, now is very consistent, is not working all day, i have to type like crazy to enable that keys for few seconds. I'm going to a service but i can't find the time, it's my only computer. I'm probably the first in my country because i chatted with them by email and didn't knew about this problem. it would be interesting to know from which countries are this computers, mine is from uk but i'm not there anymore
Ok, so i opened the back lid. It had some dust there and i cleaned it. It works pretty good now, i could write this post without major problems. I think the heat is also a problem, it worked perfectly after i cleaned and used without the lid, but now that i put it back and also started a movie to get hotter it missed few keys. I suggest you all to do the same thing as a first step. I do not have proper tools to disassemble it further.

Hi, the service told me needs to be replaced, i didn't fixed it yet because i bought another one.
It's relatively cheap now to get it replaced, Genius bar quoted me around 170 for a whole bottom case.

Thanks for this, didn't saw that thread, i'm gonna open it and see the cables today. It seems to work when i put pressure on top of the case

Yes, it's there, it's hardware problem. Don't waste time in trying all kind of tricks.
