There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Oh oh oh oh and she's buying a stairway to heaven
There's a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook
There's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiving
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it makes me wonder
There's a feeling I get
When I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who standing looking
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it really makes me wonder
And it's whispered that soon, If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow
Don't be alarmed now
It's just a spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on
And it makes me wonder
Your head is humming and it won't go
In case you don't know
The piper's calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
And she's buying the stairway to heaven
at this time liryc was important
great poetry
Tyrone McCabe Can you please tell me what a bustle in your hedgerow means ? Bugging me for 40 years 😏
DougE Fresh something moving around loudly in your bushes.
@@dougefresh7765Bustle - move in an energetic and busy manner Hedgerow - a rough or mixed hedge of wild shrubs and occasional trees, typically bordering a road or field.
Thanks for the explanation , don’t know what it has to do with the song , but I won’t be alarmed now 😂
WOW best cover ever done!!! Period!!!!
I'm not gonna lie I've never purposely listened to stairway as much in my life in respect to zeppelin you sir have a voice that makes this song as if I've never heard it before love mastodon always have but this really shows hidden talents my friend and you can run with the best
This is great.I met Brann at a gig at the NorVa in Norfolk ( Slayer show)- but I didn't know who he was - so it was just a fun conversation with some cool dude at the merch booth. Respect all around for these guys
With most bands when they perform a song they wrote you can hear the emotion in the vocals and the effort in how they play, but Mastodon does something else and something amazing. They took a song that is loved by many and played it like they wrote it themselves, you can hear the same amount of emotion and effort in this song that you would hear in any song off of one of their own albums and it is simply amazing.
Mastodon isn’t a band, Mastodon is a family. Infinite respect to them. They really inspired me to try and create my own riffs and try to write something original. Honestly, i wouldn’t mind dying right after i meet them if i ever have the chance
What a soulful tribute, really amazed
Damn Brent made the solo his. So good
This is probably one of the best tributes ever made... Nick John should be very proud.
Let's get some fs in chat for the manager that made it possible for us to enjoy Mastodon as we do today
