@@jamesbaron1964 it's not because the car was slow. He said in interviews they told him they wanted to continue and then decided to drop him so the ferrari name lost some of it's shine. Seb didn't do well this year because he's sensitive to that kind of thing and that's why bernie told him to reveal the truth. Ferrari announced that it was a joint decision but wasn't true at all. It sounded like they weren't offering him enough money and that's what the media believed was the reason so seb revealed to Martin brundle that there was never any offer on the table.
So because they treated seb awfully, they let him down and he now only cares about the people. The mechanics. That's why his message said after the mechanics names "you are ferrari"

Spending time to write a farewell song that wasn't even in his native language shows how much Vettel loves his team.

Grosjean did the same in Bahrain, with the lyrics in the glove. It's why the car caught fire so rapidly; the paper set the whole thing alight. If only he'd kept it 'til the final round, he would have made the last two races of the season.
A champion's career cut tragically too short. We'll never know how it would have ended.

no matter what happened, Vettel remained a classy guy, being respectful to leclerc, never openly bashing the team or the car as far as calling it as GP2(I found that amusing as well tho)

He may never claimed a title with Ferrari, but that... THAT is the class of a champion. He knew they wanted him out since early this season; he knew he wanted out since March. He knows he'll be driving for another team -and supposedly a serious competitor- next year, but Vettel still thanks them and has a place in his heart for Ferrari.

I'm italian, and hearing the (small) mistakes he did while singing, I'd say that he almost certainly took the time to rewrite the song by himself. Top class by Seb.
Magari gli errori non sono stati solo perché lui stesso ha riscritto tutta la canzone. Dopo una gara di Formula uno, addirittura ad Abu Dhabi sei stanco morto. Direi che gli errori emergono 1/3 dalla stanchezza, 1/3 dalla riscrizione e del livelli linguistico di Seb e 1/3 dalle emozioni che lo investono come un camion senza freni

Supporting this team for 20years odd, the joy he brought all of us, especially in 2017, 2018 will not be forgotten. The way he made the Mercs look silly on his day should be cherished in history, considering what a well-oiled machine the Brackley outfit has been in the turbo era. Grande Seb, hope you win at least one more WDC with a car that has the horsepower and the downforce you deserve, and please do come back after a few years and retire in the Scuderia - where you belong ;-(
True. He was the one who took on mercedes at the top. Even though max won againt ham in 2021 because the regulations made all the cars closer. SEB days with ferrari will always be remembered.

I have tears in my eyes. After being treated so badly and a final snub from the team principal Seb has shown his class as a human being this year. Makes us fans really proud of him. I'm guessing Ferrari have lost a huge fan base but not as much as they lost respect.

Seb was able to win with Ferrari and fight for the championship against Mercedes. He sung himself into the hearts of the Tifosi with this final song. Incredibly sympathetic and intelligent guy.

He is for sure the funniest guy in the paddock, his press conferences and interviews are always hilarious. He also respects everyone, him defending Lewis is one of the most beautiful things in F1 history
