Client state, you create it in the province menu after tech 23 (i think). You can customize it like a custom nation all vanilla. Not sure if you need any DLC for the feature. Thought it'd be cool to try out.
you just need to ally Poland asap, curry favors or promise them land in the war and repeat a second time, you probably won't even need the poles the second time.
I can't see a more fitting place for the Dutch to be than Greenland. Divine justice for wanting to name Australia, New Holland. What a bunch of squares.
I know this is at least 2 months past the campaign, but the administrative ideas finisher is a godsend as Prussia, because then your only down by -25% government capacity. Also, completely unironically, spamming courthouses and town halls to decrease the gov cap each province uses is really good. You might not think an average of -4 to -6 gov cap per province is much, but when you have over 100 provinces, that's effectively +100 gov cap at *worst,* and considering that you'll be developing a lot of provinces over the course of the game, you're much more likely to be dropping 6-8 GC per province from town halls. It's also worth giving out all 3 estate land privileges. Without administrative ideas, that's 150 extra GC, and with them, it's 225 extra GC.
Ooh, I just finished a Prussian game a few days ago myself... YT's algorithm works wonders obviously you played better than me tho, so good job! In my game I tried blobbing, didn't dawn on me that Governing capacity might cause some negative debuffs; might look into the new mechanics when I have the time
Yeah tried playing Prussia when the gov capacity was introduced found it unplayable until i learned more about the mechanic. economic ideas are good since with the -50% gov capacity you need buildings to combat it until youre so OP, AE is just a number
I played brandenburg with an burgundian pu under me but at the beginning i was just to bad and rusty to conquer parts of germany so i had all of england, france and parts of eastern europe and scandinavia before i annexed all from like south germany in under 10 years thanks to my bohemian pu and at the end i had like 10 vassals who owned iberia, south french, italy, the british isles, the balkan, scandinavia and most of russia. I had like 3,5 million troops with mine and all of my vassals combined and earned like 3k in one month. I can hihgly recommend to play with some or many vassals at the end i had much fun.
My game was a little strange, ottomans was destroyed by mamelucs, france defeated by the others kingdoms, englans defeated by norway-scotland and castille never join aragon
i've played for 6 or 7 years got around 4k hours. i wouldn't say i had a clue what i was doing for the first 2k. fastest way to learn is play the same nation over and over again only playing till around 1520. also if your new theres alot of ways to get all the major DLC for cheap if you dont have it all, never pay full price.
It takes a long time to learn, especially by yourself. I feel like I am a fairly average player, most of the guys on youtube find all the great strats and I just have fun chasing what I watch lol, but it took me 750 hours across 3 years to get here and I had a good player (~1.3k hours) show me to play my first 20 hours and a buddy of mine who we have been playing together learning stuff since day 1. Its a great game! Just takes awhile to figure everything out, there is alot of shit happening hahah!
Also Coffy is a much better player then I from watching this, I am yet to form Germany as Prussia lol I just end up blobbing out east and going to Ming hahaha, I get admin for the +20% GC and then give out all the GC expanding things from my Estates, get L'etat c'est moi and go east all the way to Ming in an ugly snake
Ok, we have the same challenge, same tactic too, and same progress so far ; so I'm pretty happy! ^^ (It's only my second ironman campaign) I plan to dismantle the HRE soon (I am in 1676), as I'm close to forming Germany but the AE really piss me off. One thing, you didn't mention if you converted the HRE to protestantism with the League wars... It's a substential part of of the let's play in my opinion. I did, and I've been emperor for quite a while now! But I need to give up my seat to dissolve the HRE...
I just did my best to time forming Prussia so that i could successfully switch religions, and leave the hre with as little trouble as possible. by the time i left the HRE i didnt care if it was still intact or not my army quality meant AE didnt bother me. Unless i want to form the HRE i avoid converting other nations. its better to have your neighbors be heretics imo so you can take advantage of religious ideas cb, this game most nations in the HRE flipped protestant before i did so the empire crippled for most the game without the league war even happening.
With Prussia in this run it literally came down to having almost every possible military buff. Great rng as well constantly had discipline/moral buffs from rulers and events so there wasnt much strategy mid to late game then constantly being at war draining rivals troops. i kept fighting France and the Ottomans simply to keep them in debt/ always on a truce
The pu over bohemia is esencial with prussia(at least for me) u get a elector as ur vasal and u instantly become the strongest in the hre then i dismantle the hre and i have germany ww1 borders by 1530
Why Innovative and Espionage Ideas, can you explain this please? I would prefer many other Ideas as a central European Naion, especially Brandenburg. I'd prefer Humanistic or Religious, Trade, Quantity
Is greater germany a mod. If so, which one?

It is quite easy to snatch the provinces necessary to form Prussia early. In my Last campaign I Had them aroun 1460 and I am Not good.

Thank you Zaid, appreciate the sentiment. Just learning as I go trying to improve the content.
the ottos blob into Europe when you play an HRE tag, usually because it means a weaker Austria and therefore they have an easier time
Really?
The biggest Otto in Europe in my games were always than I played in East Asia...

Are client states worth it? Or did you only used them because of low gov?
I used them just to try them out. by the time you unlock them i think there are more efficient ways to deal with gov capacity.
How did Greece resurrect from the dead?? I assume with that size the Ottomans were probably 1st power.
