Oh he already knows, he sleeps in my closet. It's kind of creepy, since i have a guest room. I told him he could stay in that one if he wanted to. Love goobs
Lucas not only did a bang up job; the limited palette as well as color choice and selective highlighting makes it look really good in such a short amount of time. Really great job that is really an accomplishment that nobody can take from him. I tried to do a start collecting box a while back when GW had that 3 part painting challenge. Wish I could turn in a result like he did. Truly inspirational, thank you for sharing. Everybody making the Harry Potter jokes about Lucas knows that what he did here was truly magical.
Amazing work by Lukas. And really great job by Squidmar tricking Lukas into painting his FE Court SC box! Now I gotta get contrast paints... dang it...
@@SquidmarMiniatures Haha, I figured if it was your box you probably would have paid him. You're a good dude. And you've got some good buds that are willing to sit in front of a camera for 8 hours, painting away for youtubes. Thanks for the videos!
As a person who has never finished an army, this is an amazing thing to see. The idea of not going full on for every figure has been an alien idea to me. I'm currently painting my Rivet Wars stuff and I am using a lot of what I see here to help me paint and complete each set. Thanks for being so informative and keep up the good work!
These are so inspiring!! I paint at a glacial pace and rarely finish everything - need to stop nitpicking and get my messy drybrush on! Great looking army. Really love these challenges!
Recently started AoS and bought into FEC, perfect timing! Great vid, tons of interesting tips for a "low effort" - good results approach. Also nice to see some actual army painting and not just pro-painted 10h single models. More like this!
don't be afraid to do more of these challenges because people complain, these challenges are great to see and it makes me want to take up some of them when i'm a better painter, i enjoy setting challenges for myself.
Hands down. This is insane. The amount of organization and discipline and precision and speed... Not to mention the strain on his back and the ability to focus for that period of time. This is not normal hobby painting. And it takes a very special kind of painter to pull that off.
love these kind of videos, wouldnt mind watching u guys battle out all of the starter boxes as you guys even include how to paint them to look good, while doing it fast!

Heej Squid, i am starting to get started into this hobby and have been in doubt how to get started. This video helped me a lot as it shows that with just a few paints and a minimal of tools you already can get a decent result. I am kinda of a perfectionist and can get lost in to many small details. What would be awesome though if you could do a follow up video and shows us what we can do to enhance these miniatures from here on out. Thanks a lot!
Here’s a tip for starting take your time and do your best even though it may not look the best just keep going because these guys have hundreds of not thousands of models under there belt and have been doing it for years

The model features the superiors of the different orders of the Adepta Sororitas. And it would be fun to see a collaboration with each of your friends painting at least 1 of the superiors. Thanks for this guide! I tried it out this weekend (took me about twice as long as Lukas though - i'm a slooow painter and the pallid wych flesh stage takes ages!). I like the contrast of having very dark bones versus the super pale flesh. Great video!
Also, I ordered a box and a bunch of paint. First army. I chose FEC because a bunch of videos just said I could buy multiples of the start collecting boxes and I'm good to go.
Honestly bud, that’s perfectly normal. I’ve got piles of grey armies sat there as they were projects I started without thinking about the time constraints. After watching a few of your vids since I found you with the Fiverr challenge, I have to say: your choices of soundtrack are consistently amazing. Also, your painting tips and the quality of your vids makes me want to paint again. Thanks for sharing!
Hey man great video. I used to paint warhammer as a kid in the early 90s, it was recently my 40th birthday (ugh!) and my wife set me up with a whole lot of paints and this exact start collecting set!
