Where are the local corner shops if you run out of bread and milk ? It seems an awful long road to buy a ' pint of milk ' ?

There aren’t any. Los Angeles isn’t a city or a town, it’s a bunch of suburbs connected by freeways with a downtown that is ineffective and dangerous. I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s a great place to live, but it’s definitely not a corner store kind of place. Last night I had to drive 45 minutes to get 6 miles and I don’t even live in a very busy area. I visit friends and relatives in the more busy side of town. It takes me two hoursround-trip just about 10 miles. It’s like New York but with no subway that works.

@babyboy1971 I'm from Scotland with about 6million people in total population .I never really thought about LA in that way before . I knew it was a busy place but that is something else altogether! I hope the traffic congestion eases for you all over there ...Best wishes .
