    Los Angeles
    Episode 65
In this trip we cruise through the Holmby Hills / Benedict Canyon area squeezed between Beverly Hills and Bel Air. This area is rich in history with the highlight being the infamous Cielo Drive. Detailed notes on what we pass are below…
(02:32) From December 2008 up until June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson rented a mansion at 100 N Carolwood Drive in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles. Jackson lived in it until his untimely passing. The unfortunate event happened inside of this house, under supervision of Michael's private doctor, Conrad Murray. (The entrance gate is on the left)
(09:00) The Sheats-Goldstein Residence is a home designed and built between 1961 and 1963 by American architect John Lautner. The property is now owned by businessman and NBA courtside staple James Goldstein who purchased the residence in 1972.
(11:40) Falcon Lair is an estate above Benedict Canyon in Bel Air that was built in 1925 by Rudolph Valentino, who named it after his unproduced film, The Hooded Falcon. Falcon Lair is better known as a residence of heiress Doris Duke and the property also has the reputation of being haunted. (on right)
(14:26) 10050 Cielo Drive was the street address of a former luxury home in Benedict Canyon, bordering Beverly Hills, where three members of the Manson Family committed the Tate murders in 1969. The property had a main residence, guest house, pool, and 2-story garage. The main house had been occupied by various famous Hollywood and music industry figures. In 1994, both houses were demolished, and a new house was constructed on the site. (The entrance gate is straight ahead)

Prior to 1969 this street was like the whole area was serene. Now its a street of dark history.

@@snezanamil8462 it’s not all sunshine and rainbows here but there is plenty of good (mixed among some bad) but if you get a chance to visit it’s definitely worth a look! Cheers!

If you mention Cielo Drive to people , unless they're into true crime, they have no idea what or where it is....even people in their 50's and 60's.

Not trying to be mean, but too long for a drive to a ‘site’…made it kinda boring or disappointing. Music was not fitting or very interesting. Sorry but I totally just lost interest & I love this history. Tell the story at least while ‘driving’…or something!
