  • The RV Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Elkhart, Indiana I stopped in to visit the museum and was pleasantly surprised at the multitude of displays that they had. I tried to cover each display with a look at the inside whenever possible just so you could get a real feel for what the museum offers. Some of the unique displays were vintage teardrop trailers, Ford Model T cars with pop up tent trailer or gypsy trailers, early 1930 era Ford Model AA and Chevrolet RVs, Charles Lindbergh's camper trailer, Mae West's RV, just to name a few. It is well worth your time to visit this amazing museum and I encourage you to do just that. Yo can visit their website at the link below.

When I am not making images for my normal (if there is such a thing) bodies of work as a photographer, I make plenty of fun videos for my Model A or other related videos from that time period that you can find on this channel too. Be sure to check them out.
As to gear, I shoot a variety of full frame Nikon cameras and lenses. Most everything is shot on a tripod to produce the sharpest images possible.
You can see more about me and my photography at my website here www.kensmithgallery.com/
Please consider a donation or becoming a member. We would love to upgrade our video and microphone system to incorporate better quality audio and sound as well as multiple cameras and drone footage in the future. My 1930 Ford Town Sedan has eyebrow fenders and still has the original interior. It's certainly worn but it still is functional. I have rebuilt the driveline, suspension, and tie rods, installed a modernized Model A motor with oversized intake valves, insert bearings, and a high compression head. I also have a lightened flywheel and V8 clutch. The car comfortably cruises at 50MPH but I've had it up to 60MPH. I have also insulated and installed sound deadener which has made the car enjoyable to be in even at 90 degrees.

Ha! That was awesome; thanks for another great tour. Love the 1920s motorhomes with the clerestory roofs and the rear platforms similar to a Pullman car on the railroad. Class!

Hey Ken, thanks for sharing this with us! If I'm not mistaken, in the motor homes the 1974 GMC's rear axles were both unpowered and. It has the engine, transaxle and full front suspension and drive axles out of a Tornado with the engine being a 455 Oldsmobile. It was a very pricey outfit but they sold a bunch of them just the same.
When I was still trucking I hauled a bunch of conversion vans and trucks out of Elkhart and I didn't even know that museum existed. Had I known about it I certainly would have spent some time there checking it out!
I grew up camping with my grandparents and when I was 12 or 13 my parents bought a pop-up camper so we could all go camping with them. Such awesome memories!!!
God bless you my friend!!! And HAAAAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! (Try to not eat yourself goofy! I tried for years and finally gave up on it... 😂)

I didn't know that about the GM motorhome so thanks for sharing that. The museum was a first for me and I truly enjoyed it. They are undergoing an extensive remodel, so I plan to be back.
Blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving too!
