- In this video I show you how to replace the headlight dimmer switch on a 2005 Chevy Silverado. My dash lights were having problems like fluttering and going out all together, this seems to have fixed the issue!

Yeah, all you need is a #1 Phillips and some cotton, and conductive grease. I have a 2005. For me the module is $60. But it's in good shape, just needs the old grease removed. It intermittently bridges the printed races. I had Deoxit and Noalox handy. Super simple. Clean, then relubricate the arms.

That's the dash board/dome light switch, the headlight dimmer switch is on the steering column

Will this work for dim odometer?
My parking brake light goes in & out.. and turning dimmer all the way up to turn cab lights on is hit or miss.. also, 70mph+ side of speedometer lights flicker.. think replacing this unit may be a solution?
My whole driver side tail light went out, not the bulb, not the harness. Did more research and I’m suspecting the dimmer switch is the problem. Did it fix yours??

That is correct
Only takes a few minutes to replace. CAREFULLY pull of the trim, these vehicles are getting up there in age, as shown in the video. Use a small flathead to release the tabs on the dimmer switch and wiggle it out. Unplug it. Plug new one in and carefully push back into place. Replace trim. You're done!
Ci have a question, can you switch it to off after auto counter clockwise because i noticed on mine it doesn't switch to O so i was wondering if it needs replaced. Thank you if someone could answer please.
Normal operation is to go to off then return to auto position once you let go.
