Thanks for the detailed explanation of how to get to that plug!!! There are a lot of short videos that don’t cover how to actually reach that plug. someone has been behind the dash on my truck before (it’s 2001 and i have only had it 5 years), as most of the screws you showed are gone, as well as the plastic hooks at the bottom on the steering wheel cover.

I did not understand why the original black electrical tape had to be cut back to separate the wiring harness to apparently reconfigure the wire orientation? Is it because the wire plugs in in different places in the new multi switch compared to the old one? It was not really explained why the wires needed to be separated out like that and reposition on the wire harness? Someone tell me what I missed please?. Otherwise I understood the rest.

I have a 2001 Silverado and I’m want to add cruise control. I bought the combination lever with cruise control. Which wire/color is the cruise control wire? Thanks

Any way of just bypassing the flasher light switch? Cut wires or something? My red hazard light button broke. So it won't stop flashing. If I take the fuse out the brake lights won't work. I try to just hold the button down yet it's VERY easy to make the lights go crazy while holding it down with finger etc. =( great video btw!
