As a D3 owning gulf war 1 British Army veteran from across the pond, respect. My hopes are the air suspension beats the coil conversion, I know it will. Try and get a D2 on air, more driver involvement.
Respect to you to sir. We are filming the coil vs. air "shootout" this week. Looking forward to seeing the results ourselves. We'll be taking them on a few tougher trails, but also towing a 16 ft. enclosed trailer where we expect the air suspension to really shine. Look for that video soon!
Hi Guys, great stuff what you do for the vets. Can I ask what trimming did you have to do in the wheel wells to make the 32" tires not rub on full lock? Thanks
Hello and thanks! I believe we started the process on level ground, would have one guy turn and see where it hit then trim, eventually moving towards articulating and turning. All the trimming was just in the front of the wheel well. As for the rear at full up travel you will contact the passenger side heating tube if you have the rear heat options. It’s an easy fix of adding some tuning and re-routing. Lots of tutorials out there on that. Took us about an hour. Good luck and see you on the trail!
@Military Mobility thanks for hitting me back guys. Are you running wheel spacers on the air suspension LR3 top or not, as I think they alter what needs trimming in there too? Thanks
@@arjandelaney No wheel spacers, we’re running the same 18” terra firms steelies on both LR3’s. They are perfect for the LR3. Get with Eric from Atlantic British (roverparts.com) and tell him we sent ya over; he’ll take care of you 👍
Hi, when the LR3 was donated to us it was on the bump stops. After much trouble shooting and us learning the ins and outs of the air system, it needed a new reservoir tank and 70amp relay (from LR for 306.61), a center valve (from Ebay 47.70), and a compressor rebuild (Ebay kit for 74.75). We did buy the lldTool but consider that a diagnostic and performance tool that gets ongoing use. Originally we were just going to do a coil conversion like in our other LR3 but we are glad we took the time to mess around with it.
REALLY impressive 👍
He's got your lr lift 32" 265/70 r17? Hello Martin :)
