- Hey worship vocalists! “This is Amazing Grace” is currently the top song being sung at churches all around the world-perhaps you’re singing it at your church this Sunday! Maybe you love the song but you find yourself reaching and straining for the high notes… maybe you find yourself worrying more about the sound of your voice and what’s going wrong than being able to focus on leading your congregation confidently. I want to help with that!
Check out the tips in this video to learn how to:
- sing energetically and powerfully
- release tension on the high notes by engaging the pharyngeal resonator

Thanks for your kind note!
Who breaks the power of sin and darkness?
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger?
The King of glory, the King above all kings
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder?
And leaves us breathless in awe and wonder?
The King of glory, the King above all kings
This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You laid down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You've done for me
Who brings our chaos back into order?
Who makes the orphans a son and daughter?
The King of glory, the King of glory
Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of glory, the King above all kings
This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You laid down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You've done for me
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy, worthy, worthy
This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You laid down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that You've done for me
All that You've done for me
You are hilarious but extremely gifted and helpful

Thanks so much for sharing your gift and talent. Ever appreciated. I have one question that I know you can help with, my worship leader keeps telling us to round our voice.... I have never quite understood the concept... kindly shed more light. Thanks. Love from Kenya
Hey Grace! What they are probably referring to is the shape of the mouth - many people have their mouth spread wide to the side (like a smile), especially as they go to high notes, and it causes vocal strain and off-pitch notes. As we move higher in the range, it's important to drop the jaw and narrow the mouth (or "round" the mouth), as this helps create a more efficient mouth shape for the vowels and achieving freedom in the voice!
@@worshipvocalist you are the best my dear🤗😇. I will definately keep this in mind... your explanation is easy to understand. "Baraka" Swahili word meaning "Blessings" to you.
Please please you make the Grace to Grace tutorial ....
Perhaps in the future if I get enough requests for that one!
youre like the best =) =)
Thanks! :)
We will be singing it in E key, im new at this...what key should I be singing with that saud as an alto/mezzo soprano gal?? Help!
Hey! I would suggest the key of D for you!
Is pharyngeal resonance the same as nasal resonance? Or does it mean to be nasal?
Similar, yes-the more correct vocal terminology is pharyngeal because the sound is resonating primarily in the pharyngeal cavities. It sounds nasal though, yes!
