This is one of those songs that I have always cringed when I hear myself sing it like in the shower or whatever… I would never dream of singing in front of others, but I just got told I am singing it this Sunday! The girl who would normally sing it is out… So this tutorial is so helpful, you have no idea, it is giving me a glimmer of hope that I will be able to pull this off without hurting peoples ears. Don’t want to distract people from worshiping the Lord! That is my fear. But I do think if I practice this, I will be able to pull it off just fine. Thank you thank you thank you! I do have your discover your voice course, and I am doing that as well as the harmony course, it is so so, so so worth it! I have grown immensely in just a few months.

This is amazing! I have no training, but love to sing. I'm singing this Sunday, and I switched it to G because A felt like I was straining (even though A was more comfortable for me for most of the song). Now I know why. And now I want to use these tips for so many other songs. Thank you!!

This is awesome! I have to lead this song this week and I am an alto to my heart. It gets up there, but just from watching this it already feels easier when I sing it. My tone sounds better already. Simple things that make so much difference.

Thanks for this tutorial, it's a great help. I am struggling for a while now to go from a classic sound to a more comtemporary sound. I use to sing Bach in a classic choir and now I am singing in a worshipband and that was not as easy as I thought it would be. But I'm getting there eventually. Greatings from the Netherlands.

I was watching Mahyar Tousi discussing current affairs and as if i'd just opened the door to the wrong lecture room and there's Charmaine giving lessons on 'singing' I never realised how much effort is involved in this singing. I thought those who can 'do' that a good voice like Charmaine has, is a gift. Although im not convince that 'anyone' no matter how much practice, could reach Charmaine's level?
There are a lot of factors that go into vocal improvement - sometimes it can take many years, and making major health changes as well, but I have seen students see MASSIVE improvement when they have committed to the process!

This video was incredible!! I have a lot better ear for music than mouth, so when I was placed as lead for the first time on my worship team, I heard myself and almost quit! I heard so many mistakes I didn’t feel like I was being of service to anyone 😅 but after some encouragement and finding this video, I think I can fix some of those problems!!
