Oddly enough, I did this and realized I could eat wood by myself. I hadn't discovered people like Point Crow, I just figured "hey, if I get wood I can cook it!" I first did 5 at a time, then realized I had to do it one at a time. Sooo tedious

The Beginning Trials gave me PTSD and the Middle Trials gave me a heart attack and Crow's here like "FUCK ANCIENT ARROWS CMERE LYNEL"
Meanwhile I’m doing the final trials after I failed every single shield parry so need to fight with no shield
Me every her with every single ancient arrow you can collect and just kill the Lynel's and beat the final trial.
It’s smart though. I hunt lynels for fun, so I do that too. You get a multi shot bow. Combine that with the ancient arrows, and you don’t have to hit the guardians in the eye.
Edit: AAAAAAAND NEVERMIND. This man beat EVERY SINGLE GUARDIAN without ancient arrows. I’m both impressed AND pissed.

I did the wood thing in the final trials. I would cut down every tree and cook it just for those few extra hearts. No one can tell me it wasn't worth it bc I beat the final trials with a quarter heart left.

watching this has inspired me to work really hard on achieving the shield skew glitch in order to skip the trials
Yeah I finished all of the trials but didn’t want to do them on my other run where I finished more of the game so I learned to skew clip. Seems difficult but only takes about 5 minutes to learn, like the bomb launches.
@@lennoxsommerville7451 I beat Beginner Trials, Skew Clipped Middle Trials, couldn't skew clip final trials so instead I Moon Jump skipped which means i needed to get to the first resting point. Only took a couple of tries.

An interesting strat I'm sure someone already mentioned. Make a tier 3 defense buff meal, with a dragon horn in it, and eat before entering the trials. It gives the buff for 30 minutes, and food buffs carry over into the trial
If you don't fancy farming for dragon parts, you can try monster extract, you just gotta get lucky
same w/eventide island...then go straight for hinox...sneak up2 him...use chrg atk w/savage lynel crusher & nuke him n2 a stalnox...i didnt no that bout monster extract...then just do a save...cook the ingredients...if u dont get the 30min buff...then reload...ull nvr waste ur monster extract...until u get the 30 min atk buff perk from it...okay...so i did it 10 times w/4 lynel guts & gave up...then the 1st time i did it w/4 bananas & got a 10 min atk buff...so i can c it getting up2 30mins...i guess u cant use monster parts w/monster extract...

I did this but with attack buff instead; for master mode trial 1, this is better since damage output is so limited (weapons are low damage and low durability), so the attack buff is *huge* since it lets your weapons and bows go that much further. Even with that, it’s still a really tough trial, but the lower trials are the hardest by far so it’s okay
@@jacobsteinebronn2966 Same, attack up kills them way faster. I collected all of the food to make meals at the level with the cooking pot. Defense is better with strategized game plan, taking them out one by one while hiding in plain sight if possible 😁 Took me many tries but I finally got it 👍

Just finished the final trial 20 minutes ago, and I'm very surprised no one else was spending 3 minutes eating wood. I only cheese the flying guardians and used only bombs on every Talus.
Beating the Master Trials in Master Mode is my proudest gaming achievement, I was SO damn proud of myself for that because for me it was so fucking hard. Some of the floors are BRUTAL. Especially any floor with Lizalfos. It’s so fun watching other people try it.

I was using bombs to blow up wood to cook in the beginning trials rest room, and I was on 4 hearts because a tree hit me. It blew up in my face and ended my run..

The thing about the trial of the sword in master mode is that you get to the point where it's very hard to kill the enemies simply because they have SO much hp

I played through trials of the sword and master mode for the first time in my replay of the game

The devs had a field day with the last floor of the final trials.
Beating everything and waiting for the telepad to activate only for a red laser to focus on me was my first taste of the real world
Beginning trials gave me a heart attack with each stage. The middle trials were a little stressful, but nothing difficult. The final trials look like stress central.
Yeah but tbh it's only the last few levels that are crazy hard. Rest can be beaten easily if you use opposite elemental weapons on elemental enemies

Beginning trials on master mode was SO HARD to do legitimately because of floor 10. The most feasible way was to chain sneak attack strikes but that's still kind of cheezing it imo.
That’s exactly how I did it, somehow the last trials were the easiest
I tried to do that, I fucked up. I was lucky that they both lost interest in me and I could blow all my arrows into one of them after throwing it decided to not get out of the water.
I love watching him react to the same things I went through in the trial of the sword, especially when he sees the Lynel for the first time. I just remember playing over and over just to be stopped by that Lynel. I've defeated it and saw the hell that's after a few times but it's rough.
Ancient Arrows tho
Only reason i got through ut was because i had reputation album by taylor swift on repeat (it makes me feel badass- its how i defeat most difficult bosses in most games) had to sneak up on that tower guardian with my last ancient arrow cause all my shields broke. Then the last stage with the other tower guardian and lynel. I beat it. Went through hell but the journey gave me heaven

When the Master Sword is fully upgraded it has 5x the durability and the sword beam does not take any durability
And the beam does 20 damage instead of 10.

I've never done trials of the sword in normal mode, so after finally finishing it in master mode I decided to give it a shot in normal mode

Totally agree, I did the same thing. I still killed bokos up to black with bombs, good timing and cornering them into walls.
I did the same thing and totally agree. It felt like the trials weren't balanced for Master Mode at all. Especially considering that I got stuck at the beginner trials cause of rapid firing, health regenerating white Lizalfos, but as soon as I got past that I had no problem finishing the supposedly harder trials.

Before doing any trial :
- consume any hearty food to get a lot of absorption hearts
- consume a food that increase your dmg to the max at 30:00 (4 mighty bananas + 1 dragon horn or 1 monster extract (save before using monster extract because this is the rng infredient) )
now how to defeat this famous room:
1) statis the horn one and shoot it to death (1/2 headshot)
2) go to the first silver one, by sneaking slowly.
3) learn how to chain sneakstrikes, it's very important. Try to not make the lizalfos fall in the water.
If you choke, use electricity weapons or arrow to make recovery if the lizalfos is at low hp or try to hide.
4) do the same thing to the second
5) DONE, but beware.
@@Raikuthedragon It's easier to just drop wood behind them and climb to the top and light them on fire with fire arrows. They'll just sit and burn to death.

I always avoid hinox's but the music they make when they wake is actually really nice. I usually come across a sleeping hinox when I'm just exploring everywhere getting korok seeds and such

1:08 Eating wood is actually my strategy in the master trials! Every little bit helps when you're terrible at the game like I am. I've tried the trials like 50 times, and beat the first set once. I tried the second set like 5 times, but have yet to beat them. I've heard that the first one is the hardest, ironically, because of how limited your items are. I'll probably give it another try but sadly I'll have to restart because I no longer have that save.

I was actually able to beat this in master mode with only 13 hearts.... It took forever! honestly the hardest part of all of it is the electricity and water levels. Those can one shot ya.
I did the same; I bought all DLC and played Master Mode on my first playthrough, trying to finish the trials with 13 hearts to upgrade the sword ASAP.
Took me serval days to finish the lower trials, but then breezed the middle and final trials in a single evening.
It's supernatural how much tougher the lower trials are from the rest.
imagine actually doing the master trials legit without skewing through the wall, going to the Hinox and smacking him with a box 3 times lol
I did I legit cried a lot on the last trials took me 3 days to do the last one but in the end it was worth it
I did it legit. I finished the Final Trials on my Second attempt after dying to floor 2. I was in complete shock when I one-shot the last Guardian Turret
Not doing it legit would be boring though. Took me 2 nights and was a lot of fun.
Well that gives me consolation that even Crow gave up on Master Mode trial of the sword
It's been a long time since I did my master mode run but I think I remember that only the beginner trial was hard and the rest was surprisingly easy

Diamondmon1999 oh yeah, I was of the same opinion, it was much the same in regular mode, Only the beginning trials gave me any trouble, oddly enough. Issue is, I just couldn’t for the life of me beat the beginning trials on master mode.
Master trials of the sword are the only time I used attack up food. Only for those lizalfos

Yeah, they are showing me I still have a long way to go.
Keep trying! The lower trials are the hardest. Make good use of sneakstrike chaining, and be sure to cook up an attack up *3 for 30 minutes (dragon horn and 4 bananas)

Playing this on master mode made Every Dark Souls game seem like a joke, and the sad part is you don't feel happy when you finally beat it all, just numb. Lol.
That Hinox fight in the dark during the middle trials has me wondering if PointCrow had already done the Hinox quest for Kilton when he made this or not
There's an easy way to get through this, buffs eaten before the trial carry over into the trial. So you can have max hearts, 2 extra stamina wheels, and have a 30 minute triple attack OR defense buff. (They don't stack, use a dragon horn shard when cooking to make food/elixir buffs last 30 minutes)
Gosh, the dark trials looked so pretty. It's a shame the game doesn't give you more opportunities to appreciate its lighting engine.
There's a great shrine in the Champion's Ballad that really does a lot with the lighting
Next time, set your sheika slate sensor to treasure chests so you can find all the hidden weapons and stuff in the levels. It makes everything so much easier!

@@TrueOracle nobody asked me but I did, I'm dead like 4 times in the first trial (all because the white lizalfos on the water base), 2 times in the second trial just because I'm dumb, and I did a first try of the last trial (pretty funny right?)
@@Filon73 the beginner trials are the hardest because of the white lizalfos. The other trials only took one try for me on master mode.

I had to look up how to beat that floor on Master Mode. If you can get 2 headshots on the first lizard after stasising it, it will die. Then you can sneak strike lock the other 2, just being very careful they don’t fall into the water

Normal mode was really easy for me, I tried on master mode died on like floor 5
I sneak attack everyone in master mode. And I use the 30min atk buff instead of def buff.

I remember when I first played the master trials I was so afraid of not having enough weapons that I saved up everything I had, painstaking beating them with bombs, boulders and drowning them. Then I finished the final level with 5 ancient arrows remaining and a whole inventory filled with unused royal weapons. I nearly threw my controller out of a window.
I didn’t feel like wasting 2 days attempting to beat the trials in master mode, but I really wanted to. So I proceeded to shield clip through the wall run the to final trial, cryonis clip back in and beat the hinox with the metal box. I did this for all 3 trials. And finished in about an hour and a half
I just did it for the first time in my finished file. I plan on doing this for a new play-through getting one master sword upgrade after I beat a divine beast and unlock a shrine at one of the fountains of Courage, Power, or Wisdom. Feels thematic to me.
I love these trials specifically because it makes the game actually feel challenging again after you get good again. But dang if I didn’t die as many times on my first run throughs as he did

depends on the weapons those lynels have, if they have swords it's doable, if they have spears it can probably still be done, if they have crushers you're fucked.

He died on that floor multiple times too when it isnt too difficult. You just have to pull the moblins away 1 by 1 and then you can bomb inside the cave by shooting the string and take out and stragglers. I didnt struggle at all with beginning trials and don't consider myself a very good player. I haven't don't the middle or final trials yet, but from what I've heard, they are easier than the beginner trials because of the more powerful weapons
I remember getting to the Lionel at the end and being so pissed off when I got one shot and had to redo the entire trial
I finally completed the final trial of trial of the sword today after putting it off for so long. I attempted immediately after the medium trial twice and died super early on both times, so I was super discouraged to try again. My successful attempt went a lot smoother, until I almost ran out of food in the second to last floor. Those ancient arrows came in real handy. Didn't have to fight a single lynel.

I love the moment where you goof around, having COMPLETED the first trials, and then as you fall to your death you instinctively reload and lose everything. I've never seen anyone finish the game and then lose!

The only problem with the full powered Master Sword is by the time you get it, you don't need it anymore :(
the way i see it is that it's effectively a reusable weapon (bar the cool down), so it's always worth it to use it first.
since im not very skilled, though, i can't complete these trials, so i usually use my master sword to mine rocks
@@zacharyframe1916 there are multiple ways to skip the trials so and you can get the and you can get the master sword early (and be able to do the trials early) by using the essence dupe untill you have 13 hearts and when you get the quest for the trials you can just sell the duped hearts if you don't want to keep them that way you can have a fully powered master sword very early game

There is also a glitch that makes it so you can take the master sword with 3 hearts but I'm pretty sure the trial of the sword quest won't activate untill you actually do the pull animation which requires 13 hearts
@@satanasluciferi7278 You can do the trial of the sword even after doing the glitch to get it with 3 hearts.
@@Interestking I know, i just said the quest doesn't start until you do the pull animation and you can do the pull animation without the sword actually being there
@@satanasluciferi7278 It will actually start without the pull animation. Just go to the pedestal and turn around a bit until the "pull" prompt turns to a "place" prompt.
