Fun fact about the Boss! You can just dive through it when it starts shooting the spikes. You can figure this out on the way up to the dungeon by diving through the various ice patches to get to some of the ship sails/trampolines! Doing it this way was such an awesome way to beat the boss. I didn't have to fire a single arrow and just got to dive full speed through the spikes it was shooting to pierce the weak points with Link himself. Such an awesome experience!
I figured it out because I just straight up ran out of arrows lol, then just started diving at the boss, and even rising up from under it, though that was way harder

Rauru is is not the first king of Hyrule but for some reason they don't know about the other kings and queens in the previous games. They know about the seven sages and some myths and legends about the previous hero and Zelda. but don't know about the previous kings and queens in the other timelines. Which means some of their history is missing before 10,000 years ago like something happened at erased the previous kingdoms history either the great flood caused by the goddesses in Wnid Waker. Or a timeline convergence when all the timelines merge into one.

Mummy is way stronger than anything else we encounter in the deep, so that stuff is just temporary (if you have the right stuff) whereas his affects are more permanent.
Rauru has so much power in just his right arm, imagine what he could do with his entire body.
😳
Wait
Just ask Sonia about Rawr-u 😏
nahhhhh what
This is how kingdoms are made!
ive been avoiding the internet for like a week now while i binge play totk cuz i dont want spoilers, you're the first person im seeing playing this and im like so giddy just from seeing you excited and happy about the game. the euphoria of taking the first steps in a game youve been anticipating is insane
I like how most of the new abilities are kinda inproved versions of the Breath Of the Wild abilities like how Ultra Hand is a stronger Magnesis alllowing you to move almost anything and also combine stuff.
Can’t wait for pointcrow to treat the starting cut-scenes as botw’s KING BOSPHORAMUS HYRULE!
Was there during the stream, absolutely sick
animalmace?!?!!??? The TH-cam shorts guy?!?!?!!!?!?!?
@@Juan_Star yuh
The first few hours were always the same, we fool around willy nilly, getting confused at the master sword scene and realized what actually happened to zelda in the first tears, and simultaneously getting a weird ptsd
It took me 20 hours to figure out that the light roots and shrines were connected... AND THIS MAN SAW IT IN NO TIME AT ALL!!!!! I'm crying rn
1:22:10 wow i didn’t even think of that, i just turned it manually for a while then used rewind to keep it spinning.
i love how pointcrow left out the part where he ran out of arrows during the colgera boss fight, it was so funny
I did the same exact thing in my first play through. Lmao😂
@@duanegowtonI didn’t even use arrows. The game had taught me to land on top of the ice, so I landed (slammed) into the ice
I am trying to watch this gradually as I play too cause I don’t want spoilers and somehow I have still avoided them, but so far one of my favourite games ever
Hestu kills Dumbledore!!!
@@RealBradMiller And you have to throw the master sword into mount doom, otherwise Darth Vader will take over the world!!!
@@aniekvanbennekom6242 Haven't gotten that far!! My my how the turns have tabled. 😂😂
ya'll Magda is actually Ganondorf
Frederick is actually the final boss
Lmfao I love watching him be all shocked in the intro like he hasn't seen this exact scene in the trailers
shit was still so hype though dont cap 😂
didn't he avoid the trailers as well?
@@unfortunatedisgrace246 Nah, he watched (and thorougly examined) them. He did watch the final trailer like 2 weeks later though.
Exact scene? Not necessarily
dragon at 13:05 is such a tease that I totally didn't notice on my first play, iykyk
legit just found out what the dragon really was through my playthrough and decided to watch pointcrows experience and i completely forgot about it popping up at the start and now the heartstrings are being pulled again :,)
I love how this game is more about your creative ways of getting through puzzles and challenges rather than discovering the "correct" way to get through the puzzles. So genius!
Also, future speedrunning tactic discovered at 19:52
1:22:08. And THIS is why I love these games. You can solve the puzzles in so many ways, I attached a rock to the spinning thing and spun it around with ultra hand, then to go through the gate i rewound the stone so it spun again.
omg i didn’t even think to use gust i just used ultra hand to wind it around until it opened and shut real quick, then used rewind on the fused slap/contraption so i could run through while it was briefly open lmaoooo
Same, rewind is broken.
I hope Aonuma himself will one day bear witness to Pointcrow's mastery of bridge-building. Completely bypassing all Ultrahand construction tutorials.
Such an awesome experience!
that's how I did it too! One of my fav boss battles ever. Such a fun mechanic
that’s also what i did! i didn’t even know you could use arrows lol
I figured it out because I just straight up ran out of arrows lol, then just started diving at the boss, and even rising up from under it, though that was way harder
I didn’t even know you could do that, I just used bombs lol
I got stuck under it and was able to shoot the ice from underneath
1:04:48 Rito village focus, then suddenly there's a giant hole in the ground with smoke coming out of it and a guy playing tuba inside
C'mon 😂
Fun Fact: when you first descend to the surface, you can land on a lily pad without damage. Link also does a cool 3-point landing!
i love how his reaction to everything is "WOW THAT'S SOO COOOOL"
zelda: ''these tunnels go deeper than i thought, what could be down there?''
Link: HYAH!
damn, that stone Zelda picked up when the hand fell looked a lot like the one Ganon was trying to steal in the war written in stone. Same with the one on his head
Yep. It’s a titular “Tear of the Kingdom.”
Dude, the moment I figured out who the dragon was that cried those tears it hit me like a ton of bricks, what a reveal!
i loved seeing you geek out the entire time
genuinely warmed my heart to see you so passionate about it
I'm like 4 hours or so into the game with like 0 things done and Pointcrow is out here already finding ways to break the game
Tip for anyone playing this, you can shield grind on rails (The ones youre supposed to use the hooks on) and if you combine a shield with a minecart you can not only shield surf like its a skateboard but you can also grind on the mine rails. youre welcome
27:00 thick-stick stick the new Fredrick the thick-stick little brother of Fredrick the long long stick😅
I love how Link with full confidence smashes his face into the ground when falling from great heights
Editors did amazing, turning a 10 hour stream to just an hour. Major respect, BUT I wish they put in the part where crow says “slay” about the skirt
Huge shout out to the editors for creating these video WHILE PointCrow is streaming!!!!!! Thank you for your work :))))
This is such a good game! Can't wait for your whole playthrough, then the challenge runs
SPOILERS IN THE REST OF MY COMMENT!!!!!!
Its so badass at 40:00
You lose the broken master sword and then it reappears seconds later on the dragon. Crazy details
Once you do the wind temple and Rito village returns to normal, theres a few songs that play. two of which are the regular version, and a "new" version of dragon roost island from Wind Waker!! love that they finally connected the too since Wind Waker was the first to introduce the Rito if my memory serves correctly.
I can see it now: “I beat Tears of the Kingdom only using Meat Arrows.”
54:55 I am the lorax, I speak for the trees, if you cut another one down my minions will break your knees
this was such a fun watch your enthusiasm had me hyped the whole time, i think this game is gonna be special for years to come
I love the fact that you can just pick up the little Talus and put them down and they just explode.
THAT SOUND AT 35:52 IS THE SAME SOUND YOU WOULD HEAR IN BATTLE TALLENT ( yes I am an og of that game)
If you don’t accelerate whilst diving for the first time the music will actually sync up with link’s landing!
Great job to the editors for condensing a 10 hour stream into an hour
I can always count on chat to bark whenever Purah is on screen
Fun story from my play through, when I was doing the gerudo temple I lost a lot of hearts and couldn’t load back far enough to get out and heal, I was stuck in the temple for three days
Why not just teleport out?
this is the best playthrough i've seen so far. just seeing someone so into something brings joy to everyone, even someone who hasn't played or really gotten into either games.
I am loving how into it PointCrow is getting!!! Makes me love the game all the more!
Man, they really outdid themselves on this one. Looks amazing, several layers of exploration maps too.
I haven’t played it yet but it really doesn’t seem any different to breath of the wild. Which I guess isn’t a bad thing cos botw is a great game but still it seems a bit lazy

His reaction to seeing the backpack korok at 31:38 has me CRYING
"This is gonna be a good playthrough, chat!!!" My sentiments exactly when I first started.
The entire opening sequence up until the water landing had me completely enthralled on my playthrough. So glad to see it hit similarly with someone else. Even rewatching it was so fucking good. The music swelling during the wide "heres the world" pan had me smacking my desk in delight. God fucking damn.
42:21 when i first saw a boss boko in game i immediately though "oh im gonna FIGHT THAT THING"
please do another part today, love it!!!
1:24:03 That is just a perfectly timed scream, and the fact that the game LETS you get hit by that is amazing
I played it blind before I started watching this video. Absolutely EPIC GAME. So many surprises and call-backs.

ITS FREDRICK! FREDRICK THE LONG STICK!
I have already spent over 150 hours in this game and just watched this now, yet it's so entertaining. I'm both sitting here with goosebumps and the biggest smile. Can't wait to quadruple my hours!
