Thank you for giving Milwaukee a kind review. Most people don't understand what a treasure this city is. For it's size, it has great museums, theaters, wonderful shopping, quaint neighborhoods, and tons of activities. I call it a little "big"city. As a lifelong local of many decades...Yes you made the right choice with Lakefront Brewery. Both for the beer choices and the location. And thank you for the video. It's great to hear your perspective.
Great video, but want to point out that Summerfest is neither every weekend or free. It's like $20 or more to get in and is usually held for 11 days at the end of june beginning of july but was in September this year with a weekend schedule because of covid. Thanks again for highlighting Milwaukee!
Milwaukee truly is great. Downtown milwaukee is stretched out far....hinders our skyline but opens opportunities to be filled in time. Milwaukee is one of the more densely populated cities in america....happy you enjoyed your time here!

Once you go to "obviously" Greek restaurants like Pegasus, Omega, Mykonos, Oakland Gyros, or Genesis, you start spotting the same hallmarks in many other late night (often 24h, before C19) "family" restaurants around Milwaukee, such as Ma Fisher's, you realize they're all part of that same niche.

I love that you love Milwaukee!! Just some food for thought- I used to go to red light ramen before they had a brick and mortar space (it was on Saturdays after 11 at Ardent) but I no longer support them after some very concerning things about the owner Justin Carlisle came to my attention. The restaurant industry can be a weird place, but I don't support serial cheaters and people who treat others poorly. Next time you come, try Tochi in West Bend instead. It's better anyway!
My hometown. Great place. Gotta hit summerfest. I stayed at the Wisconsin state fair park RV park many times. It's only 5 minutes to my brother's house.
It was number 3 in the world voted the best food destination I could have taken you to a lot of interesting places I know the best fine dining too burgers
I am from Milwaukee born and raised. I graduated from college there and lived most of my adult life there before moving out of town due to job. It is a great city and often gets a bad rap but has so many hidden treasures. The seasons are great and the atmosphere is second to none. Thanks for the visit and glade your experience was good.
It happens for 11 straight days in June do some history it’s only the worlds largest music festival. I’ll provide a guided tour whatever your interest.
Milwaukee seems like a very cool city with great architecture. Sounds like good beer makers as well. Hahahahaha. Where next guys, did you mention that? I think you should have crossed the border for a quick visit to Canada. Hahahahaha Cheers!!!
I was born and raised in Northwest Milwaukee but moved to Colorado after college, many years ago. When I went back to Milwaukee in 2008 and again in 2017, it was very disappointing and sad to me. . The once vibrant downtown was dilapidated and nothing much there. The Lakefront was as I remembered, still pretty. Maybe the city is better in 2021. Glad you enjoyed it however.
It is better now. There has been a slew of new construction, downtown and elsewhere. Almost all of the expressways feeding into town are getting rebuilt and upgraded right now. The former Grand theater on Wisconsin Ave, vacant for _decades,_ has been brought back to life as the Warner, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's new home, practice space, and performance stage (freeing up dates at the Marcus Performing Arts Center for other acts)
I was born in washahara co but i but raised in the south . thank God .Lol joking. But hopefully in 2022 . I plan on spending next summer in the north .
How do you come to Milwaukee and say that the Mexican food doesn't compare to Mexico. And then say that the Ramen in Mexico is sub-par. What were you truly expecting.
Everyone wants to be a vlogger and live van life and be on TH-cam. Clearly it's not for everyone and holy freaking ads. Add a few more and you'll have more ad time than actual video
Very much not true. Some areas you should stay away from but isn't that true of all bigger cities. Milwaukee has a lot to offer and is a underrated City that only gets recognized when something horrible happens.
@@jillanthony5191 I've lived in Milwaukee most of my life. Downtown Milwaukee, around the colleges and anything along the beach is very nice. But all of that makes up only about 5% of Milwaukee. And West Allis is not Milwaukee. People call it Milwaukee, because it in Milwaukee county. Milwaukee County overall is pretty good, and I will not argue with that. But 95% of the City of Milwaukee itself is a hell hole.
@@wtxohnthao2612 Even though I did grow up in West Allis I have lived in the city of Milwaukee most of my adult life and to be honest I don't see myself ever leaving the area we are in now. I have to agree that the Northside and a big portion of the Southside is nothing but trouble, lived on the Southside and My husband and I decided to move because of the shootings that were happening only blocks away.
Nearly every city is segregated. Sadly historical housing policies for and and property rights built a foundation for segregation. A great book on the topic is How to Kill a City if you're interested in learning more.
I've lived here for 70 years...worked in law enforcement for 30 yrs. The three most important things to do in Milwaukee are....stay out.....dodge gunfire.....try not to get killed by reckless drivers. With the crooked dems running the city there is little law enforcement and rampant crime!
Milwaukee is the most segregated city in america and a horrible place to live or raise kids. Lived there for over ten years and left during the pandemic. best decision ever

Awesome video!! Thank you!!
It was number 3 in the world voted the best food destination I could have taken you to a lot of interesting places I know the best fine dining too burgers
Wow! Didn't know that.
You guys missed the best wings at Points East Pub. Award winning!
Lovely!
It's such a fun city :)
Wish I was there!
You'll have to come visit. It was a great city!
Red Light Ramen is closed now. Try Kawa instead if in MKE.
I use to live by LFB, good times at night lighting off fireworks right by where you sat
Come back in June 28th 2022 Summerfest will be lit.
Btw summerfest is $22 entry open from morning till 2am
Thank you for sharing more info!
One more thing summerfest isn't free
It happens for 11 straight days in June do some history it’s only the worlds largest music festival. I’ll provide a guided tour whatever your interest.
Thanks for sharing what it looks like normally. We clearly don't know much about it!
Food portions in milwaukee and wisconsin are huge normally
Milwaukee seems like a very cool city with great architecture. Sounds like good beer makers as well. Hahahahaha. Where next guys, did you mention that? I think you should have crossed the border for a quick visit to Canada. Hahahahaha Cheers!!!
It's beautiful! Yes, beer must be in their blood down there. No Canada for us this year but we're SO close! - Liz
Milwaukee is my hometown.
Now go to the Northwest side and share your thoughts.
I can still think Milwaukee is nice, even if it has some tough neighborhoods. No city is without that
I wish we could've met. great vlog
Are you in Milwaukee? Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! - Liz
ONE thing. Summerfest is NOT FREE. It costs about $30 to get in. AND only for like 4 weekends. End of June to the middle of July.
Thanks for clarifying that! Definitely helpful to know.
Did you stay near the fairgrounds downtown?
We stayed at the fairgrounds RV park.
When ya coming to Nor-Cal?
2022!
Summerfest is 3 weeks and it's not free
I was born and raised in Northwest Milwaukee but moved to Colorado after college, many years ago. When I went back to Milwaukee in 2008 and again in 2017, it was very disappointing and sad to me. . The once vibrant downtown was dilapidated and nothing much there. The Lakefront was as I remembered, still pretty. Maybe the city is better in 2021. Glad you enjoyed it however.
Was full of life when we were there. I know things have changed for the city over the past decade. You'll have to give it another visit. - Liz
RIP Red Light Ramen.. Closed down recently
Nooooo that place was so good!
@@EatSeeRV I didn’t even get to try it and it was my number one place i wanted to go out to eat to…
You missed everything. I live in Milwaukee and I’m saying that
I'm sure we only had a weekend!
I was born in washahara co but i but raised in the south . thank God .Lol joking. But hopefully in 2022 . I plan on spending next summer in the north .
Awesome! I hope you like it. - Liz
Lol wait till you hear a shoot out.
Good ole freeway drive by shooting.
How do you come to Milwaukee and say that the Mexican food doesn't compare to Mexico. And then say that the Ramen in Mexico is sub-par. What were you truly expecting.
Very good point haha
Shhh.. We are Trying to keep it a Secret .
🌈❤️🌹🌈❤️🌹🌈❤️🌹🌈❤️🌹🤩🤩🤩
Go further into the city and even if you come out alive or un molested you’ll have a much different view of milw.
Glad you didn't get robbed or shot while you were here.
That's cuz she ain't go to the north nor southside
What's with you losers shitting on this city? Why don't you go back to your country town and start a nice family with your cousin?
Unfortunately, nothing you said about summerfest is accurate...
Good thing people can do their own research if an outdoor festival with music sounds up their ally. 👍 Or you can share here
@@EatSeeRV I suppose vloggers could too
I will say, Red Light Ramen is over rated. You'll get better ramen for a fairer price at Artisan Ramen or at Tanpopo
Thanks for the suggestions!
I put them on the list for next time. - Dennis
Everyone wants to be a vlogger and live van life and be on TH-cam. Clearly it's not for everyone and holy freaking ads. Add a few more and you'll have more ad time than actual video
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is like 5% of Milwaukee. The rest of Milwaukee is a hell hole.
@@wtxohnthao2612
Even though I did grow up in West Allis I have lived in the city of Milwaukee most of my adult life and to be honest I don't see myself ever leaving the area we are in now.
I have to agree that the Northside and a big portion of the Southside is nothing but trouble, lived on the Southside and My husband and I decided to move because of the shootings that were happening only blocks away.
Maybe, but pretty much everywhere is s hellhole
Thanks Chicago for trying to clean out your hoods and sending your refuse up here!
Milwaukee one of the segregated cities still in america
Nearly every city is segregated. Sadly historical housing policies for and and property rights built a foundation for segregation. A great book on the topic is How to Kill a City if you're interested in learning more.
Great book. I suggest a book by my friend called a 500 dollar house in Detroit@@EatSeeRV
Milwaukee has alot in common with Philadelphia and San Antonio . 100 yr old buildings. I love it .
I LOVE the old buildings!!
