Come to Michigan for the summer!!! 😁 It's wonderful here! The Salt Spring is beautiful. Crabs and swimming? 😯The Alexander spring was really nice too. Loved the lazy river. Thank you for showing us the beauty of these locations. Good to see you out again. -Michelle
I’ve had some great memories at Salt Springs when I was a kid, and even in recent years. We used to camp up there on Lake Kerr. The place is still there, but it’s a different name now. We used to belong to Coast-to-Coast, which was a nationwide camping club. Alexander is beautiful, but I haven’t been there since 2011. Rock Springs is the bomb, but it can get crowded. The Ninja Turtles were my favorite as well. I even saw the most recent movie…lol. There are 1,100 springs in Florida, and that’s not including sinks. I really like the ones that most people don’t know about…or are harder to access.
Haha that's awesome! All of the springs can get crowded now, at least the ones that are easy to access. Still worth it though. Thanks for watching smile 😁 🐢 🥷🏽
Started using Upside a few months ago and LOVE it. Some fast food places we frequent do 18-20% back all the time which is a big bonus! Love the video. The springs look awesome!
Yup welcome to my world (part time RV) and we can’t bring it to our house-bummer. Glad you’re talking about the health of the springs. I was born in FL and love them.
Doubles of household things worked so well for us when we lived on our boat & had our trailer. Made life easy. The springs are stunning - WOW! We never really made it to any (dog & campsites were full). Awesome video & your niece 🤣 That paddle was amazing!
Great video. It was refreshing to see this kind of video again that first got me watching youtube. TH-cam has definitely been lacking this type of video for awhile now. Thank You
The Florida springs are the life source for the whole State. Without the springs, FL would just be a big, dry limestone rock bordered by sand. They're beautiful and need to be protected.
The springs are awesome. We spend a couple of months in the Ocala area in the winter. We also learned how to play mexican train there. I saw your travel map. Are you headed to Nova Scotia? We live on Cape Breton Island. You really should come this far and do the famous Cabot Trail. Maybe we will see you on the road. We have a seasonal site in Baddeck. Reach out if you need any help with places to see. 👌🇨🇦
Love those parks! As you discussed costs and noted some as "pricy" one think that caught me by surprise at Alexander Springs (and presumably Salt Springs) is that the National Park and Recreation Area passes are not valid. As the ranger explained to me, the Ocala National Forest with its various recreation parks is not part of the National Park Service. Rather, it is a different governmental department - US Department of Agricultural Forest Services. I didn't get in for free, but the daily rate isn't bad for what you get!
Yes it's not a part of the National Park Service, but the Ocala National Forest! We tried before too. $13 per person is pretty expensive, think if you had a family of four, that's over $52 just to get in vs. Kelly Park which was $3 per vehicle regardless of people.
Great vid Liz ! Cant believe I have not been to Kelly Park Rock Springs living here 35+ years! , looks fantastic. Hope you guys are doing great, have a safe road trip heading north! Pedro..
Love your video, I live in Pinellas Park, FL. and graduated from Boca Ciega HS and I own a 2023 Ram Promaster HR van that I converted to a camper I also belong to Florida van gatherings Facebook group and we are thinking of having a van gathering at Gulfport beach. Spent my summers at Juniper Springs as a kid
Mexican train Domino’s! We love that game! If we ever run into each other out on the road camping we will have to play it together!!! Alli is a terrible looser though lol😂 love the looks of some of those springs we’ve yet to try.
Liz, you and Dennis need to do annual and semi annual service to your roof top A/C conditioners! The mold will kill you if you leave it in your systems!
We do service them regularly but the bolt broke last time so we weren't able to properly service it. That mold was just from one summer and this was before Dennis cleaned it off after we found it.
Hi Folks , longtime subscriber here. Great video as always , but I'm a little disappointed that TH-cam didn't offer closed-captioned for us folks with audio disabilities.😢
Love love love Silver Springs but would never consider swimming no matter how clear and beautiful it is. The manatees are so cool to watch but too many gators that don't seem to be afraid of people, felt weird enough paddling by them in a kayak. Are there any springs you guys consider too dangerous to swim in? Do you take any precautions???
Yup all is well! Trying to get back on the road! If you want to stay up to date we send emails and post to Instagram and Facebook regularly. We'll have something soon. Thanks for concern and we appreciate your support here!
Pretty, for sure, but I'll stick to the wayyyyy less crowded and free Boondocking out West (including floating the Payette, Buffalo, and Snake rivers). Oh yeah........the UpSide app is a joke out here. I think the best I ever saw what 5cents per gallon. I travel for work and put 1000mi a week on my truck. The gas station discounts are better for me. My 36ft travel trailer is fully stocked with pots/pans and real dishes. I also tossed in a counter-top dishwasher, vacuum, and tools so that I'm not having to take stuff from my house all the time.
@@EatSeeRV Yes, "doubles" helps. It also makes getting away on short notice a whole lot easier. You guys know how to be frugal. There are ways to get doubles and not break the bank.

A trip down memory lane; we used to go to those springs with the Boy Scouts in the 1960's.
Looks like an amazing trip. Sorry I missed it. The springs are just magical places. It is so important to protect them. 💖🙏✌️
Hopefully next time 😄

Thanks! We did Michigan for summer in 2022 it was incredible!
How fun! Looks so refreshing and with the rain it’s perfect! 💦Thanks for all the infos.

For real!! So glad you love it as much as we do
I want to visit them all! So motivated to enjoy all that natural beauty : )
So glad we got to explore some of it with you.
Getting rained on while paddle boarding is the double the fun!
Agreed!
Yeap, you get wet from the top (rain) and the bottom (springs). Plus, you are already geared up to get wet.
Florida is too beautiful for its own good...good video today guys . Great job
Ain't that the truth! Thanks Dean, glad you enjoyed it!
Auntie Liz and Uncle Dennis, you have a mini roadtrip with your little kin!!!
It was a great time.
Wow! Alexander Springs is less than an hour from us 😍 We’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation. ❤
Definitely try to camp there, if not the lines to get in are just insane. I hope you can make it though, it's stunning!

Just signed up for Upside with your code. Thanks for the great recommendation! Will be using this on an upcoming road trip.
Awesome. Enjoy the savings 😁
Thanks for this great video. We are familiar with Ocala, but learned about 2 spots. Will be going this coming winter/spring. Thanks again !
There's so many gorgeous springs there. We tagged 2 more we want to visit next time.
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always 👋🤗
Thank you for watching! 😊

Agreed! 💯
This is entirely not true. Our springs are a result of random aquafers and are not representative of FL's aquafers as a whole.
They tie into the Florida aquifer but have different spring sheds.
Yes and unfortunately salt intrusions are becoming common.

It's Florida everyone has a bit of mold.

You have to turn closed captions on as a setting! It's not something we control on our end. We appreciate you tuning in. Thank you! 😊
We camped at Alexander Springs a couple of Januaries ago. Paddled from the spring to the bridge and saw quite a few alligators.
Awesome! 🐊
Great video! Look into Bill Fredrick Park in Orlando! Great place!
Get some old stick candles, they work great for starting fires, wax burns a long time.
Interesting
I missed this I didn’t know you went PT! I’m shopping for a 19-23 foot class C right now.
Went to PT? Good luck in your search!

When they're done 😂

You either need doubles of things to keep in the RV or install a conveyor belt from the house to the RV.
Haha! Doubles sounds easier!

No! Haha all good. Weird its still processing
I understand how closed-captioned operates . It's not offered on this video
So weird I just checked into this because of your comment and it says "Processing...
Still processing. closed captions Ineligible"
Florida? No thanks.
Your loss.
