Great choice colors in this Caron yard. I however have not been comfortable working with fuzzy yarns. There is some still in my stash- someday I may give it another try. Don’t recall working with a #5 weight yarn. May have to add that to the list and try it. I’ve made 4 blanket in the C2C pattern. Looks beautiful💚
Hi Bonnie 🌷 I love the C2C stitch and have made several projects with it. Everytime I watch another tutorial on it ,, I learn something new. Thanks and take care 🤗😉🙏💞
I've only been crocheting for almost a year and have a ton to learn. For some reason the c2c seems intimidating 😳 but I'm going to try this beginners pattern!
Feel free to use any yarn in your stash Brenda. I love the feel of this yarn, but this design will work with any yarn. Just be sure to size your hook to match.
No its a perfect speed, and yes we can slow the speed, I was a bit wary of this type of yarn because its for a baby, but I have seen a lot of people use it for babies, someone even gave me their left over wool, and this wool was in it. I was like, what can I use it for, not a baby right, but I will make this pattern for my next blanket next, thank you.
So I am making this blanket larger for it to be like a couch cuddle blanket. I would like it to be more rectangular...any ideas would be greatly appreciated ...thanks.
Hi Bonnie! Avid follower and student here.... Just got the hang of your Autumn cables blanket in red- already 1/3 of it done in 3 days! I want to try my hand in that white blanket with the Celtic cable pattern on the chair behind you - Do you have a tutorial for it yet?
Just released it today on my Watch. BonnieBayCrochet.com site. The pattern is here (with video link): www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/bonnies-winter-cabled-throw-crochet-pattern-by-bonnie-barker
Sweet Bonnie, I love to watch your channel and I learned a lot from you🌹. Thank you a lot❣️ I love this special yarn so much and ordered maaaany different colours to Germany/Hamburg, bec I’m living here🙂. This baby blanket is really beautiful, but I want to work a triangle and/or a Shawl in this c2c stitch. Could you please give us a little hint how to do that in this c2c ? I thank you so much❤️. Warm regards from Angel from Germany🌹
This is easy Angel, simply follow this video and continue adding additional increase rows until the piece reaches the size you would like for a shawl. You can then work any border should you wish.
Nice. I’ll have to get my hands on some really soft baby yarn. Besides the yarn you used, what other yarn do you recommend? I’m aiming for super soft, yet no pilling if possible. 🙏🏼 Thanks in advance.
I think any yarn that you love can work for this design. By the way luvtocraft, you were one of our winners on Friday Fun and I have a leaflet to get to you! I just need your mailing address if you can contact me at bonniebay@me.com I'll get this out to you in today's mail!
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you for your prompt reply. I have Caron simply soft, but I have heard that it splits a lot. Also, I think I would prefer the variegated look for this stitch. I will send you my info soon. Thanks for the giveaway. ☺️
@@luvtocraft I’m not a huge fan of Caron simply soft due to pilling. Definitely find a color-changing yarn if you can. This makes it so much more fun to crochet and will delight the baby’s eyes!
I haven't seen this as a problem with this yarn. I've been wearing a shawl for a couple months made of this same material and I can honestly say that it does not shed the way you may think. As a mother of 5, I think this crochet texture and feel of the yarn will delight a baby!
I suppose I have more faith in beginning crocheters. You are all smart and with high definition filming should still be able to see these stitches without a problem, at least that's what others are saying. Try encouraging others more Kara. It will make you happier!
I really love that yarn
Yes, I also have an Easy Granny Square Shawl made with this yarn and I love wearing this around the house this time of the year!😊❤️
I have loved every single one of your Afaghans you explain very well. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Thanks Amy! This is much easier than it seems.

There's my fave Swiss army scissors😉
Yep! That’s how you can tell I filmed these back home Bekki!😊❤️
@@BonnieBayCrochet that's what I figured, hope all went well with helping the family in SC.
I love working with this yarn ! Do you have anymore patterns that you have used it. I will be making this blanket love it. Thank you ❤
Yes I do Helen, here's one: th-cam.com/video/XDu2jvNWXc0/w-d-xo.html. Just so happens I'm wearing this shawl now!

@@BonnieBayCrochet I agree. Thanks. ☺️
Is this appropriate yarn for a baby blanket? I would think the fuzziness would come loose and easily end up in a baby's mouth.

I’m a decent crocheter but for this being a beginner video this is the worst yarn you could’ve picked
