Omg i think I got it I have been trying to learn this for a while some people go to fast when flipping it and when they flip it there hands are in the way thank you MJ❤now it time to practice.
I did it. I had a blanket I crocheted YEARS ago in the old granny stitch pattern bc that's all i knew. I pulled it apart and using that old yarn did this pattern in the rectangle pattern. It turned out great. Turned something old into something new. Kinda proud of myself.
After each row was completed, I would think “please do another row” and you did! Long enough that I started seeing the pattern and was able to anticipate the next step. Thank you!!! Super awesome of you to share this!
I learned this stitch doing a "doll" blanket for my great niece last year. I didn't use a border, but I really like the simplicity of your single crochet one. It looks so polished. Thank you
This is my first C2C blanket! Admittedly, I made a few stitch errors and had to rip out a couple rows (just wasn’t paying attention) but I love the results! This is a very fun pattern when you get the rhythm!! Thank you MJ! I’ve done a couple of your patterns since I found your channel and you’re very good at demonstrating and explaining your method.❤
I made this blanket for my youngest grandson when he was a baby, which is a little over 11 years ago. I decided to make some charity blankets with this method and totally blanked on how to start it. Thanks for the refresher!
I’ve been doing my c2c for many years. Especially changing colors. Make excellent gifts. Works up quickly. The decrease is easy as well. Adding a border makes it gorgeous as well.
Had to add this one to my list. I have crocheted many blankets over the years but have never tried a corner to corner. Definitely going to give this one a go thank you 🇨🇦⚘
The more I watch this video the bar fascinated I am with this blanket you’re doing a terrific job Ashville. I sure enjoyed watching you. You are great.❤
I’ve been practicing and it’s getting better every time. Can’t wait to take on the challenge of a shawl or even a blanket. It’s a beautiful pattern. Ty 🙃🧶
Ohh green is my favorite color, so drooling over that hook hehe. Love your new introduction. I love C2C but mine usually ends up a parallelogram but you make it easier ❤
I’m a newbie, but this looks like an amazing challenge!!! I’ve already got plans for my next project, but this will be added as the next on my list! 😍🤩
I noticed that you are crocheting from the outside of your yarn ball. American yarn in that shaped ball is designed to be crocheted from the middle and knitted from the outside. I love this blanket and colour you are using. I’m doing one for a great grandson in Caron Cakes Pistachio
So lovely! May I ask, are you using a larger crochet hook to make it more flexible? I can only find Yarn Bee brand yarn in my area and it uses like a 5.0 and some are a 5.5.. Thanks! :)
Do you have a version of this stitch that is not on point? I want to use it to make a sweater but can't figure out how I'd do a foundation row in a straight line! TIA. Always LOVE your stuff!
Question ❓ when I want to stop increasing on one side to make a throw. I stop increasing at block 60, and then stop increasing on other side at block 72 then create my rectangle?
How many blocks for an lapghan? I bought the pattern but I don't see this info. I have wanting to do a c2c blanket, seemed to confusing until i watched you. Thank you!!
I'm a bit confused. I bought the pattern and it seems to be 36 x 44 blocks but here you say to do 60 x 72. Also there are 8 rows after the 1st corner where you DC36 before making the second corner. I'm trying to think it through before I get to this point but I thought you had to keep increasing on one side in order to get the rectangular shape so I expected to increase every other row at that point. I'm not sure if that questions make sense. It's hard to write out an explanation but hopefully you'll understand what I'm asking. Thanks
The pattern has 2 versions. There is a bulky and a worsted weight blanket pattern. You are looking at the wrong pattern. The bulky version is 36x44 blocks. The worsted is 72x60 blocks. You will increase one side of every row until you get to the next corner.
@@mjsoffthehook of course that's obvious now I just got myself mixed up! I'm using worsted weight but had gone back and looked at the bulky by mistake. Got it sorted now. Thank you! My brain just hurt trying to figure it out this morning.
I really dont understand that..Im actually a beginner and im not american so its hard for me to understand what to do in sequence just to make identical blanket like on your photo..

Awesome! Great job!
C2C is an old favorite. Nice to know how to make a cool border on my blanket. And ombre yarn looks really neat in this puzzle like blanket!

MJ, you amaze me with your esthetics! You coordinated hook colour with yarn colour! E You made simple stich into elegant piece! Absolutely 👍!
Seems pretty straightforward. Very pretty!

Thank you! I love the chain 3 method instead of slip stitching across the square😘
So pretty and simple. Love it!!! Have a good evening!!❤🤍💖
You are so creative. Thank you for sharing.
Love, love , love the color! I so wanted to learn this stitch, thanks for posting.
I’m a newbie, but this looks like an amazing challenge!!! I’ve already got plans for my next project, but this will be added as the next on my list! 😍🤩
This looks so easy. I've got to make this!
Beautiful blanket looks very easy, I gotta get me some more yarn to do this pattern now..

Thanks for this tutorial MJ, one of my goals this year is to learn to do a c2c blanket, like stitches that grow quickly when doing a blanket. X
Ok..I'm gonna trying this pattern. Thanks for sharing your ideas 🤩👍
Love this pattern
This is beautiful 😍 I’m gonna try to make this ❤❤🧶🧶🧶
Beautiful, thank you for the tutorial.
New to your channel. Love this Stitch and would love a tutorial on whole project for a throw. Stay safe. 🙏🏻🧶😊🧶🌹🙏🏻💐🧶

I’m making this now in white and then variegates to a dark grayish purple
Gorgeous
Que fácil y qué linda
A bit fast in showing the stitches but I quess you already need to know them to follow well.
Yes I assume you know how to do basic crochet stitches. You can also adjust the video speed to the speed you want it to play at.
Wow,真好看!
Thank you! I’m a little confused about the square verses the rectangle…I just want to make a blanket which method do i choose 😬
So lovely! May I ask, are you using a larger crochet hook to make it more flexible? I can only find Yarn Bee brand yarn in my area and it uses like a 5.0 and some are a 5.5.. Thanks! :)
Did you make any tutorial for the tassels?
Do you have a version of this stitch that is not on point? I want to use it to make a sweater but can't figure out how I'd do a foundation row in a straight line! TIA. Always LOVE your stuff!
Sorry I’ve never done that. You would have to play around with it. I’m sure there TH-cam videos out there showing how.
Question ❓ when I want to stop increasing on one side to make a throw. I stop increasing at block 60, and then stop increasing on other side at block 72 then create my rectangle?
I’m wondering the same!
How many blocks would I need for a 42” wide by 84” long?
How many blocks for an lapghan? I bought the pattern but I don't see this info. I have wanting to do a c2c blanket, seemed to confusing until i watched you. Thank you!!
The chart shows you the number of blocks. The written pattern works you through row by row. Select the worsted or bulky version.

When making a rectangle you increase only one side every row until you reach the next corner. Then you decrease both sizes the same.
@@mjsoffthehook of course that's obvious now I just got myself mixed up! I'm using worsted weight but had gone back and looked at the bulky by mistake. Got it sorted now. Thank you! My brain just hurt trying to figure it out this morning.

How long did it take you to make it?
A couple weeks. Depends on how much time you have to crochet and how quickly you crochet.
