The adamantium has nothing to do with his regeneration, that's just is natural mutant ability.
Actually, in this game, his clothes don't regenerate. They only come back whenever you level up in the game, or whenever a cutscene starts playing.

germany is/was very strict on blood/gore and violence
a lot of games were banned for featuring excessive amounts of blood, and well, this game features a ton of it. it was a surefire way to land a ban in Germany

This game was basically a God of War clone, but dang, i don't care. They clearly gave this a special Wolverine flare. They even have unlockables you can find in the game that ebable to play Danger Room challenge maps against other versions of Wolverine, and when you beat them, you unlock their costumes from the comic books which you cam swap in and out of at any time throughout the game. The story is a bit video gamey, but this version of the story is much cooler than what we got in the movie. They actually show you escape the Weapon Plus facility and fighting to survive the Canadian tundra. You get a way cooler versions of the theSabretooth and Gambit fights, and they evem tie a Sentinel program side plot into Days of Future Past, years before the movies ever decided to loosely adapt that storyline. (Dude, I would love a post-apicalyptic Wolverine game or an X-Men game set in the dystopian DOFP future that ends with a retelling of the short original DOFP story from the comics.]
