Great video, is that like a new CB radio antenna on the back of your truck?

I was up there last April and wondered what the reason for the closure was. Thanks for the video and information.

Checked out Parson Branch Road last week. Unfortunately, we started around dusk and finished in darkness so we didn't get to really enjoy the water crossings near the end. Also, followed a Toyota Camry from Ohio so even though the road is posted as 4x4 and high clearance recommended it doesn't stop some tourists from making the attempt.

And that is the problem. Said Camry moron goes on trail with Camry, gets in trouble, calls 911. Major recovery, possible injuries or worse. Said moron goes on their happy way back to Ohio, while the trail gets shut down. Don’t think it can happen? Rangers already said that the trail will be shut down next year the weekend of Jeep Invasion, hmmm wonder why? Could it be the Jeep that flopped over?

Any 2wd suv will make it but no way I’d take a car through it 😅 oil pan is a lil close to the ground in a sedan

We haven't gotten out here yet. Looks like fun. We saw the exit when we were on the Tail of the Dragon earlier in the year. Will have to get out that way.

Nope. Sharing this video will not create tourism because that is one of the most boring roads I've ever seen!
I guess maybe someone nearby in a Honda Civic might want to use it for a shortcut. But no overlander in a 4x4 is going out of their way to go on this road.
    Nice video though.
