I've been exploring the Olympic peninsula & its forest roads for the last few years, just moved to the NE corner recently. Really enjoyed the video! I always carry a grabber tool & extra trash bags for cleaning up after the folks who can't be bothered to clean up after themselves.
You're right. The Southside of the Olympics is challenging. There are a few Epic River spots in that area, but it can be a long drive to find out they're already occupied.
Awesome video as always with phenomenal drone cinematography ! I have taken my 22 Tundra on few of these routes myself - Washington is such a beautiful state.
Great video. Glad you got to experience the Olympic Peninsula. Its pretty much our backyard and a pretty unique place. You're definitely right about overgrown roads. Pinstripes are unavoidable out there!
@@RevereOverland definitely. It's also a testament to just how quickly those forests will reclaim the land. Imagine being the poor forest service employee tasked with keeping those roads cleared. Talk about an endless game of whack-a-mole. 🤣
A good chunk of my childhood was spent in the small town of Sequim along the northern coastline of the Olympic Peninsula, so seeing videos of the area I grew up in fill me with nostalgia. One of these days I'll make it back up there as it's truly a beautiful state.
I have questions about the gazelle. I'll hit you up on FB for those. Really, really great work Rob. Love following along on your journeys. This is a bucket trip for me. 100%
Such a beautiful area. Looks like you had perfect weather conditions as well. Love seeing you out with the whole family. Did a trip this spring with the kids so beautiful.
I had a hard time trying to figure out (on some) of the shots if it was a drone or tripod. Very cool film and the music was a very nice also. top notch as always. I look forward to the next one. And your son just looks to such a happy guy!
Pretty sure I saw you on Interstate 70 in Missouri yesterday, stuck in gridlock traffic! The tundra sticks out on the highway a little bit just so you’re aware 😂
I don’t blame you, next time you roll through you should swing by Cranes Country Store in Williamsburg, it’s 30 seconds off 70 and it’s been in the same family for a long time! One of the gems of Missouri, other than constant road construction and single lane, single digit speeds!
People, that are unable to clean-up after themselfes and leave things in the stix are judged and called the same, what they leve behind: Excrement and Trash! Folks you don't wanna be called and be that, would you? Thanks Revere for taking us to the trip.
As I understand it, it's not that you can't film in the national park, it's just that you need a permit. Not having tried to go through that process myself: is it especially arduous to do?
Olympic National Park wanted $300 to just apply, plus $50 a day and they’d pair you with a babysitter the entire time. Not all National Parks are quite as steep though. Some are free once you contact them and explain the video is not focused on the actual park, just the vehicle (Joshua Tree).
I watched a vidoe by RVMiles{ I think that was it) where he had sent a letter with what he was planning to use to 7 diffrent national parks (without the permit applacation) and got the same letter back from 6 of the 7 which said he didnt need a permit. so maybe they are getting a lot of feed back as you can take pictures with the same stuff with out the permit and you just flip a switch and now you can? hopefully it will clear itself up soon.
You’re right. Olympic wanted the $300 application fee, $50 an hour babysitter fee, and undisclosed location fees. When I asked what the location fees are, they ghosted me. About a third of the parks I emailed say no permit was required since the videoing is incidental to our visit, a third said a permit is required, and a third never responded.
Great content as always. Where did you source the black overlay on the middle of your hood? I've been contemplating installing a flat black or semi-gloss black wrap on that portion of my Tundra.
@@RevereOverland Well for my 2500 Lensuns claims 100 watts and is available now, Cascadia is 85 watts and on backorder/pre-order. They both claim the same qualities in material used to capture the sun.
I figured that’s the case, and assumed a 100W Lensun would probably have a similar output to an 85W Cascadia. I’ll have to watch the comparison when I get a chance.
5:51 Oh, there's a lot of great spots to go camping on the south side of the Olympics. You just need to know where they are. A lot of us locals know where they are.
I appreciate that you didn’t name the spots. People need to get out and explore for themselves , not handed a map with all the best spots that have taken us locals lifetimes to search out.
Nothing infuriates me more then to see garbage at a campsite or a smoldering fire pit. I can't count how many smoldering campfires we've put up or cleaned out garbage from a fire pit.. Pack OUT what you pack IN!!!
I don't mean to be rude or something, but you shouldn't feed that kid that much. He is literally overfed. (Look at those arms and cheeks.) And no sunshade or hat in bright sunshine is a no-no. #CPSLikesIt Sincerely, a fellow offroader dad.
Washington is beautiful but it’s also a sad and depressed hellscape that’s been run into the ground by bad leadership. They’re the reason there’s no dispersed camping. They have to make money off of you to enjoy the outdoors…
"No dispersed camping". Spoken like someone who's never explored the insane amount of public land in Washington State. Spoiler alert .... there are endless dispersed campsites in WA.
Dudes videos have just become therapy to watch while working. It's like narrated nature screen saver. Makes me want to visit all of these places
and he has enjoyable music to listen to while your watching.
Great to see another family spending time outdoors with a baby!
Gallagher head lake via Winston creek! What a trail for the Tundra! Can’t wait to hear the comments about your new pinstripes in the next video!
It was a fun one, but my wrap has a nice new tear in it as a result!
What a great adventure! And your son is adorable!
Thank you!
What a jolly youngster you have. Looks like a great family getaway.
He loves the camping trips and seeing the sights!
That kid?.... He's a keeper for sure 😊❤
Great video! I have a Tundra and live in the PNW. Lots of stripes to prove it, but I’ve found so many beautiful places. Well worth it.
Awesome video as always with phenomenal drone cinematography ! I
Great video, I have lived on the northwest corner of the peninsula over 40 years. You drove right past my house and business. Be safe and enjoy.
The little guy is so well traveled for only being a year old! 🤯
Many great times ahead with your son! Cherish them, cause time flies by so quick.
This is so awesome! I am sure your son will appreciate these videos when he is older.
Great to see your little one enjoying it so much!
He loves it!

It’s definitely a lot more fun with them there!
Stunning! Great video again.
wonderful footage. tks for sharing.
I pulled two trash bags of 💩 out of Alabama hills. Also tons of pee wipes. Gagged about 7 times. Good times brotha. Worth the views.

That’s a solar panel from Cascadia 4x4. I found out after I bought it that Lensun Solar has a higher output panel for less!
Any recommendations for type of drone to use for filming.
Curious what month/weeks did you do this trip? Weather looks PRIME for that area, i need to time a trip up there next year
It was July!

Kloshe Nanitch Lookout

It’s just the OP that we struggled to find spots. The next few videos take us through the rest of Washington, and it’s beautiful.
@@WheretoNextOverland I was just talking about the peninsula where I lived for 15 years. The rest of the state is much different.
@RevereOverland yeah no doubt. Especially on the south & west side of the OP, it can be tricky to find dispersed camping.
