- If this is your first time to our Beginning Fingerstyle Guitar tutorial, please begin at the first video and work your way through.
Today we work on part 2 of this series where we utilize a couple of fingerstyle practice runs that anyone can do, that's willing to put in a little time and effort. If you've been struggling with fingerstyle at all, or you're just starting out in this journey, this should help you.

Another wonderful lesson unlocking the secrets of finger picking, great playing and tutorial Randy very well done my friend and the outro song is really beautiful 🎸👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Trevor, thank you for the kind words, my friend. Yes sir, the outro came from a guy I bought the parlor resonator from. They stopped writing for some reason, but I completely agree and really glad he gave me permission to use it. That picture was my mom and dad in 1955, San Diego, where my dad was stationed in the Marine Corps 👍🏻
@@randysrhythm You're very welcome and a beautiful song with a beautiful picture 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏻
Love your videos Randy! Always a laugh, and some good information and lessons for guitar and life. Love the song at the end of this. Very soulful. Enjoy your weekend my friend!
Hi Ms Rose, appreciate the feedback, ma’am. You are such a nice lady to keep coming back and putting yourself through this 😂. Very kind of you 👍🏻
Great info Randy! Hope your staying cool! I know the AC is working overtime here, lol!
Hi James, thanks for the kind words. Yes sir, we keep a close eye on that AC!! Between the humidity and the heat, it gets a bit rough, brother man 👍🏻
Same wish down your way 👍🏻
Great Randy ! It´s a joy to follow your story of your own playing and the evolution around it, like freeing your thumb more and more (excuse my bad grammar)... see and hear you soon.
Hi Daniel, I didn’t notice any issues with your grammar. You know as well as anyone the importance of the freedom of the thumb. That one thing really is the key to progress, which you surely know. Thanks again, brother man 👍🏻
Great guitar lesson, Randy!
It’s fascinating for me to watch as I don’t know how to play the guitar 😊
Thank you very much. I feel the same way about you keyboard players. It’s amazing to watch you folks, for sure 👍🏻
Hey Randy . . . great tutorial. 👍🏻 The exercise in B is a great practice to get into. 👌 Enjoyed as always my dear Friend. Loved the tune at the close of the clip! 🎼 🎼
God Bless Mate. 🙏 ☮
Hi John, appreciate those kind words, my friend. Yes sir, that’s a beautiful song at the end, brother man 👍🏻
Nice to see you home!
My pleasure Randy. 😊 👍🏻
Great video Sir. The answer to that question? Nope ..lol...I showed Noah the last video and he was able to get that quickly though.
And a lot of bands broke up because one of them wanted to steal the spot light too much... So you are so correct that all players are important in a band.
Keep up the great content.
Thanks, my good friend! Noah never surprises me. He’s quite a good fingerstyle guitar player, for sure. Yes sir, contribution is the name of the game, brother man 👍🏻
Great tutorial randy!!!! I wish i had more time to tackle theses figure patterns!!! Your pace is perfect just takes alot of practice time...
Thank you, Ms J-Lyn! I don’t know how you do what you do, raising kids and and taking care of Mr J-Lyn, all the while playing magnificently those beautiful guitars, ma’am 👍🏻
