Vlad obviously didn’t do his research. Carlos canceled Joe Rogan first when Joe Rogan confronted him about stealing jokes. It wasn’t until years later that their career flipped and a lot more people accused Carlos of stealing jokes.

Vlad's interview with Mencia was unintentional comedy since he hasn't changed one bit with the chronic capping, pathological lying, and being the heroic and sympathetic main character in all of his dumbass tales. If Mencia kept it real and admitted he often stole jokes due to the tremendous pressure of his career catapulting to the top out of nowhere, it'd be easier to forgive him. He didn't just lift jokes or lines here and there, a lot of comics do it, but rather he stole whole bits without shame and was known to sabotage up and coming comics if he felt they could steal his shine. Rogan was right to call him out and other comics within those circles at the time were well-aware of Mencia being in the crowd to outright steal jokes from their sets if he saw it got a good response. He knew he had a big platform to bully others by stealing their material and fooling audiences that he came up with them.
