There are so many toys from that era I wish they could reproduce! I had a Six Million Dollar Man figure, the sets and I'd love to have it and the Shogun Warriors again.
i have this figure (raydeen) in my attic since the 1970s asleep in his box, its the very same size and and the same yellow planes flying out of his body, the only different in the one i have is his left arm, in the one i have his arm shoots out about 4-5 feet by pressing a button on his arm.
That version of Raideen must have been a Japan-only product, because the one I have has the launching iron-cutter fist with the blades on both sides instead of a crossbow.
I had that exact same model back when I was 8 years old with the fist that would fly off. Got in trouble with it cuz I'd shoot the fist at my little sister and make her cry. Good times!
@braincrisp1 ha ha yeah I let the fist fly out from the floor and it hit my auntie who was standing and gave her a black eye! : ) great toy, was my favourite for ages as a kid. They just don't make toys like that anymore : )
@godstomper Could have? It would be a freaking curbstomp. That's like saying that the Indian Americans would have been able to fight the English on equal footing if they had Gunbuster.

Thank you for this video I remember this commercial !! This brings back good memories thank you
That commercial surely tells the scale of a true Jumbo Machinder.
OMG, I had one as a kid! Back in the 70's! I wish I had kept it!
オヤジはこんな玩具のために、酒を我慢してくれたのか。ありがとう!
MY GOD! One of the coolest toys ever!
my dad had one as a kid in the 70's
I still have mine from the 70s. Just missing the little yello eagles that fired from his chest.
Damn I miss that toy!!!
I also had Raydeen and Godzilla, in fact, Godzilla, is guarding my kitchen right now. Poor Raydeen got abandoned at some point.

COOLEST TOY EVER!
What you just saw is not a man child. He's simply a typical vintage collector freaking out over his latest grail acquisition.

I had the version on the vid. My Mom got it for me from a shop in Los Angeles Japanese Village. Around 1976 or so. I loved that toy!!!
R.I.P 愛川欽也(kinya aikawa)
Who is that guy?
@@kellyespinosacuriel8624 the dad in the commercial.
omg it's the new Billy Mayes!!! lol
@GertOuderits, actually this is somewhat hard to find in nice condition. Most of the ones on eBay are from Mattel not Popy.

The Japanese could have won WW2 if they had Raideen in their arsenal.

This commercial is awful by all standards. This guy scared children and probably scared their parents too.
