    Thank you so much to both of you for that. There’s so much conflicting information out there, and your head already gets full with all the cancer information, and the shock of the diagnosis when you are told. I’m now trying to eat the best I can whilst obviously enjoying life, and it’s easy to get confused when you hit the internet. So your clear and concise information was a breath of fresh air!!

    What about IGf in cows milk? Isn’t it a growth hormone that we should avoid? What about T. Colin Campbell’s research linking casein ( dairy protein)to cancer growth?

    Dear Dr Liz. Extremely helpful. As always.
    I watch all your videos and I know you struggle with the side effects of treatment too but you remain so positive and ebullient you are an inspiration.
    Bless you and thankyou

    Love your videos. They are so informative. One thing is you are telling what to eat. You are thin exercise often and you did all the treatments and you got cancer 2x. I just think that it almost doesn't matter what you do it comes back. Someone with stage4 should whatever she wants. So she eats a healthy diet and dies anyway

    Mother Nature's Hand...had me tearing up. I can't agree more! I use to be so focused on my blemishes and imperfections about my body and face. After breast cancer, I view all of them , including my mastectomy scars, in a positive way. There is so much more in life and on this earth that matters. On the subject of soy food and plant estrogens. Thank you for clarifying it's safety. Since my diagnosis last July, I have been adding soy based food into my diet such as soy milk, tofu, miso soup, and fermented soy beans (natto) because I read somewhere that a diet with soy can actually help with reducing breast cancer recurrence. If that is true, I wonder why we don't hear more about that?

    I truly believe if my oncologist knew specifically what to avoid based on evidence she’d tell me. All professional advice I’ve ever been given is pretty much what you’ve both said. Thanks!

    Thank you. People always tell me to cut sugar, rice, pasta, bread etc.(carbohydrates,) because it makes sugar. Also I heard another Dr. saying that we should cut out all glucose, sucrose,basically all the 7 sugars. and I was like, what am I going to eat then? because they told me not to eat red meats either😢. thank you because this is reassuring for me.

      When you cut out simple carbs and processed foods, sugar drinks, alcohol and everything that has minimal nutritional value you automatically increase food consumption of quality foods which boost your body’s ability to fight cancer. That is what scientists should study!!!! Nobody is doing it.

      Look at your plate. If it’s not full of nutrients and verity of different foods and colorful vegetables and berries. Don’t eat it!!! Eat in the 8 hr window. It allows your body to seek out , damage cells and cancer cells and destroy them. This is a built in repair system we all have. Genetically we developed to heal our body. We did not have a refrigerator and open the door to get the food. We go out and gather and hunt. Everything was fresh and nutritionally dense. That is the best diet to fight and prevent cancer from returning or spreading. Cancer is a modern disease. It used to be rare and some parts of the world still is. The only thing blue zones have in common ( this is where people live the longest) they eat real food. From ground to your plate. I hope this helps someone. Sending love and hugs ❤️

      Sugar is fuel for cancer this includes dairy and processed carbohydrates. Have lots of green and bright coloured vegetables, wholemeal versions of carbs, brown rice, salads, oily fish x 2 per week, free range chicken and eggs, nuts and seeds. Green tea, beans and lentils

    Dear Dr. Liz, I’m from Brazil and I have dense breast. A Dr here is specialized in image diagnostic, and she brought me some data saying that ultrasound with elastography is the best kind of exame to identify nodules. And she said that in some countries, due to the radiation, mammography is being replaced by US due to this.
    I’d like to know if you have heard about that and if you can bring some light to this subject 🙏

    Hi Dr. O'Riordan, I love your video's. I'm hoping you can answer my question. I was diagnosed with BC last year in August (stage 0) and I'm currently taking anastrozole. I'm having some serious back issues and I'm wondering is there an alternative? What's the best course of action to alleviate this medicine's side effects? Thank you :)

    What do you think of the work of Dr Thomas Seyfried, the Warburg effect and cancer's dependence on glucose and glutamate?

    • @braedenreid8803
      @braedenreid8803 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I follow the work of Dr Thomas Seyfried and Dr Jason Fung. The fact the cancer is a disease of excess growth, their primarily fuel source is glucose. so why would just keep the feeding the body glucose and carbs, you are just creating favorable conditions for cancer to outstrip normal cell growth. Breast cancer cells have 6x times the insulin receptors of normal breast cells. I believe the evidence is there that this is cancer is a metabolic disease.

    There is certainly research that shows that fasting for chemotherapy helps the body's own cells so that side effects are reduced and that cancer is more easily treated by the chemotherapy.
    A tip is to check out Valter Longo.
    I also believe that it is best to cut down on sugar as much as possible. Better that the ones that exist are limited and that the cancer cells have to fight for those with healthy cells instead of bathing them in their favorite nutrient.

    • @lindajones4849
      @lindajones4849 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree thatooking at Valter Longo.s research is a good idea as is the research of Thomas Seifried. The nutritional consult in this video is basicallisayingeT real food exactly what Dr Robert Lustig says .I recommend Dr. Lustigs videos that give the evidence linking a high intake of ultraprocessed food with chronic illness and premature death.i don't agree that ultraprocessed food is ok in limited amounts because everyone has a different definition of what limited means.i live in nthe US and the Americans can Heart Association recommends an upper limit of6 teaspoons of added sugar per day. Thiswouldbe25 grams . If you are buying processed food look at the nutrition label for the grams of added sugar. Be aware that the food industry spikes their products with added sugar to make you come back for more . Be aware that table sugar is a combination of two molecules glucose and fructose . Dr Lustig explains that fructose is potentially addictive itights up the reward centers of the. brain. Disagree that a drink per day is ok for women WHO says there isnoa.ountof ETOH is safe and that light drinking am n rease your risk of multiple cancers. It's tough telling no people their favorite addictions are harmful. Note I am breast cancer patient and believe that building health is 41:3
      an important part of breast cancer recovery.
      Best to all

    Why do you advise so much protein?

      She also says to "cut back" on processed meats?! (stunningly says it's ok to have "a little alcohol" after a cancer diagnosis because you "have to live" after all - !???). Processed meats are deadly for cancer (she says to cut back!) as are any foods with chemical additives.

    Go plant based!

    • @axelm5300
      @axelm5300 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To that she would say "there isn't a concrete proof yet." But there never will be because there's no money to be made from studying plant based treatments, which also would have to be financed. She does say it's ok to "live a little" and that a small amount of alcohol is ok - Where is the "concrete proof"?
