Doctor exposes the TRUTH about Parabens and Breast Cancer
Social media is full of videos claiming that our cosmetics and toiletries are killing us.
Parabens and endocrine disruptors are apparently giving us breast cancer.

Is clean beauty really the way forward?
The quick answer is that your cosmetics aren’t killing you and you don’t need to worry about parabens, but if you want to know why, keep watching.

    You are such an inspiration. I have not had the focus to read, and reading has always been an escape I loved. I associated this with an injury I had to my kneecap, which has resulted in three surgeries which has curtailed my other love, walking. I have been waiting for the body to heal. Now I am accepting the funk is depression.

    Thanks Dr Liz. As a breast cancer survivor who goes for yearly screenings, this is encouraging, Especially since the mammogram and ultrasound missed my tumor 2 years prior to my diagnosis. Also frustrated by natural health care specialists who claim mammograms do more harm than good and don’t prevent deaths. You’re always the voice reason. Hopefully this AI technology will reach Canada in the very near future. Thx again !

    It took me a long time to get to GP… once he referred me, I was waiting 4 weeks for an appointment with breast surgeon and another 4weeks for Ultrasound and mammogram. Biopsy results were within two days and from there it was about 2 weeks to start chemotherapy. In between I had a CT and PET scans and appointment with oncologist. The treatment started really quick, the worst part of it is to get to GP… Breast cancer, stage 3, triple positive.

    There is lots of research already done. I am a survivor and without chemo but on a metabolic diet. Keto with intermittend fasting. Why not lokking into the research already done. Look at dr Eric Berg, Prof Seyfreid and dr Fung who have done the work already.

      Yes there is no real gain until we resurrect the metabolic theory of cancer and stop going down the blind alley of genetic mutation, so until the government start looking in the right direction and influencing pharmaceutical companies to stop looking in the wrong direction it won't make any real difference to survival rates.... I speak as someone going against the tide too, I will likely die for my beliefs and the ridiculous stubbornness of the money making machine that is our cancer treatment currently. Shame in all your oncologists who have stopped thinking, they could make a difference

    Sorry, but you doctors "never tell everything" when it comes to radiotherapy. What is the risk of local vs. metastatic recurrence for early stage, IDC, hormone-positive cancer after a lumpectomy? How can we know that during the time b/w biopsy and surgery, cancer cells have not already went to blood stream or smaller lymph passages or to chest wall or skin? What is the risk of getting cancer in another breast? What is the risk of local recurrence with and without radiotherapy, with and without hormone blockers? What is the risk of lymphedema, fibrosis, chronic pain, lung cancer for small-breasted women especially, angiosarcoma risk? What is the impact of having vs. not having radiation for long-term survival (death of that breast cancer)? Without that info UK patients are being lured to get a massive radiation dose with very doubtful benefit. Thank you for your videos

    I too am a great pretender. I always have a smile on my face and always am the life of the party until cancer. Mine was caught early and I will be okay please God, but it has changed me. I want to curl up into myself.. I don’t want to pretend anymore. I’ve had so many surgeries on so many different parts of my body for mostly orthopaedic reasons and I thought I was through it all and on my way to recovery.. but God had other plans. I’m not as strong as people think I am.. and I’m afraid that if I tell them they’ll see the real me.

    • @IndeEyeLavanya
      @IndeEyeLavanya 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactly. Even I learned a lot from the internet and by taking the opinion of multiple doctors. Your doctor will have no time to sit and explain the increasing number of cancer patients. But thing i would like so say take the opinions of specialists on youtube and read the comment section to substantiate that. Next thing if you are taking anything orally like vitamin supplements, etc, talk to your doctor to prescribe it. If he say no do not take it or check with other doctor if required. But do not google and do anything. It can cause harm more than Cancer can do.

    If the risk increases with age why do routine mammograms stop at age 70? My cancer was picked up at my last routine mammogram. It needs changing and better awareness that you can request a mammogram after 70. It's another example of my age group being written off.

  • @christinaxj
    @christinaxj 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Raise awareness of the fact that mammograms miss tumours, meaning they are sadly caught at a later stage, there are subtypes that hide on screening, instead of continually pushing the “catching it early” slogan which trivialises breast cancer

    I’m so grateful to have an oncologist & oncology pharmacist who are educated and don’t blanket criticise supplements. Diagnosed with stage 4 ILC metastaticBC a little over a year ago, I am going incredibly well using a multi treatment approach. I am open & honest with the oncologist and we work as a team. Liz, you’re a breast surgeon. Oncology is another modality. I would never ignore the oncologist as she is well trained in what she does and she respects my intellect enough to know I also am part of my healing journey.
